As a symbol for the worldwide importance of the bees (and other insects) for all living on our planet, Milka Gubo / Crafty Milka is organising again a "To Bee or not to Bee" Blog Hop and she invited several companies to participate. - This time, Uniko Stamps is one of them!

See all the sponsors of this great BlogHop here:

Kindness is great!
So leave some kind comments on the BlogHop pages and get a chance to win one of the sponsor prizes! In the Uniko-Post you can see the full list of  participiants.

We from Uniko Stamps decided to make a Mini-Hop inside of this big Bee Hop with our DesignTeam to spread this important message too.

And as always, our DT-BlogHop also includes the chance for you to win a great Uniko price! This time, ist's Bee-themed (for sure!) 🐝 😊
You have until Friday, 31th May to comment along the DT entries.

Isn't that a great opportunity?

K1-1137 - Bee wonderful - Detail
K1-1137 - Bee wonderful - creating the background

I cut out some nesting hexagone shapes to get simple masks.
Then I did some ink blending with different combinations of the masks, the Uniko Scattered Polka Hexagons Stencil and four colours of Distress Oxide Inks.

I've created my own fitting sentiment out of the different Uniko-stamp sets.
The sentiment I stamped on an extra strip of white paper and kind of wraped it around the layer with the honeycomb.

I added this layer with an 1 mm 3D tape on my cardbase.
Then I stamped, coloured, decorated and fussycut the bee and added it beside the honeycomb.
To finish the card I put some flower-shaped sequins in the lower area and some round ones in the honeycomb.

Here are some more bee-themed cards I posted before.

After all the positive comments here and here for my funny mid-century bees I decided I need to make more cards with them!
Hope you like the new one too!

  8. AWESOME creation! Love your bee! This is the BEE'S KNEES HOP! My husband & I host 60 to 80 bee hives on our 5 acre place for the summer (to get them out of the heat) for a bee keeper from California after they are through pollinating the orange and nut orchards.

  14. This is sooo cute! Love how you created your own stencil to create the graduated colours of honeycomb! Looks awesome! Thank you so much for being a part of this blog hop and mini-blog hop to spread the importance of bees! Unpasteurized honey certainly changed my health and my life! I have it every day and purchase it from our local farmers.
