Für einen Schneemann ist ein Schneeball fast das selbe wie für uns eine lauwarme Wasserbombe an einem heißen Sommertag, oder?
Die drei hier auf der Karte vergnügen sich also eigentlich gerade im  Schneemann-Pool und haben einfach nur Spaß ;-)

These three guys on the card enjoy playing in the snowmen-pool and have lots of fun :-)

Bei er Stempelküche läuft gerade eine lustige Challenge mit dem Thema Zeitreise. Das heißt nun aber nicht Dino-Karten machen, sondern zu den Anfängen der eigenen Stempel-Leidenschaft zurückgehen und den ersten Stempel verwenden, den man sich vor langer Zeit mal gekauft hat. Wenn man den nicht mehr hat oder nicht mehr weiß, welcher das war, kann man auch Stempel aus der ersten Bestellung bei der Stempelküche verwenden.

In the current Stempelküche Challenge they ask for time travelling. But you don't have to make Dino-cards - you should go back to the beginning of your stamp-passion and use the first stamp you owned long time ago. Ich hab ein Technik-Mix mit den Techniken gemacht, die Kristina Werner heute in der Online Card Classes "Background Check" vorgestellt hat!

I mixedup two of the techniques Kristina Werner showed us in her todays lessons of the Online Card Classes "Background Check"!

I cut the word-die twice and glued them together for more dimension, then adhered it to the panel.

First I did some watercoloring with diluted = pale colores on the paper. After everything was dry I stamped the undiluted colores with a texture-stamp.

I know, Kristina showed the acetate-technique with the different intense colores... but sometimes you see something and get own ideas... and they also want to be realized... :-)

K1-443 - Reverse stamped flowers #2 + Alles Gute

Ich hab gleich noch eine zweite Karte mit der eben erklärten Technik gemacht, diesmal aber den zweiten Stempelabdruck nicht mit schwarz, sondern mit dem dunkleren Gelbton (mustard seed) gestempelt. Die Blüten wirken gleich ganz anders, oder?
Obwohl es eine One-Layer Karte ist, hab ich vier der kleinen blauen Blüten noch einmal extra gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und mit (flachen!) 3D-Pads aufgeklebt. Einige Akzente mit einem Glitzerstift (von Sakura) rundet alles ab.

I made a second card with the technique I explained in the previous post. This time I used the darker yellow (mustard seed) for the second stamp, not the black one. I think the flowers have a different look - what do you think?
Although it's a one-layer card, I stamped and fussycut four of the tiny blue flowers and adhered them with (flat!) 3D-pads. Some accents with a glitter-pen (from Sakura) made the finish!

K1-442 - Reverse stamped flowers #1 + Danke

Heute hab ich mal wieder einen Technik-Test gemacht! Zuerst hab ich mit der Rückseite meiner Clearstamps die Farben aufs Papier gestempelt, dann mit der regulären Vorderseite die schwarzen Linien.
Die Blüten sind also nicht in dem Sinne koloriert, aber dennoch bunt! :-)
Einige Punkte mit Glossy Accents, ein heiß-embosster Text und eine feine Rahmen-Linie vervollständigen die Karte.

Today I tried something new for me! First I stamped with the "backside" of my symmetric clearstamps the colors on the paper, then I used the regular side for the black lines.
The flowers arn't colored in a regular way, but they are colorful! :-)
Some spots with Glossy Accents, a heat-embossed sentiment and a fine frame-line finished this card.

K1-441 - wunderschöne Weihnachtszeit

Es ist nicht ganz einfach, Weihnachtskarten zu machen, wenn es draußen um die 40°C hat und die Sonne brennt! 
In der Nacht von Sonntag zu Montag hat's gewittert und geregnet, und am Montag war es dann nicht mehr ganz so heiß wie die Tage zuvor. Ich hab die Chance genutzt und sofort meine Weihnachts-Stempel rausgekramt!
Das Ergebnis vom Montag waren zwei monochrome CAS One-Layer Karten mit Embossingpulver.

The night from Sunday to Monday we had a thunderstorm and some rain, so it wasn't as hot as the days before and I took the chance to dive into christmas-stuff immediatelly!
The result of Monday were two CAS monochromatic One-Layer-Cards with some heat-embossing.

Bei der zweiten Karte habe ich erst der Baum gestempelt, die Grundlinie gezogen und dann beides mit normalem Drucker-Papier maskiert. Um Unfälle zu vermeiden, hab ich immer nur zwei Schneeflocken stempelt, mit Embossingpulver bestreut und erhitzt.
Zum Kolorieren des Baums habe ich nur die gestempelten Distress Ink-Linien und etwas Wasser verwendet. Als alles wieder trocken war, gab's als Abschluß noch viele kleine Punkte mit "Liquid Pearls" als Schneeflocken auf den Baum.

For the second card I first stamped the tree and drew the ground line, then masked both with some regular printer-paper. To avoid accidents I always stamped only two snowflakes with Versamark Ink, added the embossing powder and fixed them with heat.
When all the heat was finished I used a waterbrush to blend the Distress Ink of the tree and stamped the sentiment. After everything was dry I finished the card with lots of tiny little dots of "Liquid Pearls" like snowflakes on the tree. 
The translation of the sentiment is something about "(fair and) beautiful Christmas Time".

Für die erste Karte hab ich zuerst eine Fläche für den Baum maskiert, anschließend den Hintergrund in zwei Grüntönen mit Distress-Inks gestempelt, die Maske wieder entfernt und Wasser aufgesprüht, um die Farben etwas verlaufen zu lassen.
Die weiße Fläche für den Baum wurde erneut maskiert und die Schneeflocken mit VersaMark Ink gestempelt. Um Unfälle zu vermeiden, hab ich die Schritte "Stempeln - Pulver aufbringen - schmelzen" oft wiederholt.
Mit Hilfe des Stamp-a-ma-jig den Baum mittig in die frei gelassene Fläche gestempelt und ihn anschließend noch mit "Wink of Stella Brush" beglittert.
Einen extra Textstempel hab ich diesmal nicht benutzt, da der Hintergrund ja aus "Fröhliche Weihnachten" in vielen verschiedenen Sprachen besteht.

For the first card I masked the are for the tree and then stamped the background in two shades of green Distress-Inks. After removing the mask I sprayed water on the cardbase to blend the inks and heat-dried it. 
I masked the white area a second time and stamped the snowflakes with Versamark Ink. To avoid accidents I repeated the steps "stamp - add powder - fix it with heat" often.
With the help of the stamp-a-ma-jig I placed the tree in the middle of the open area and added some glitter with the "Wink of Stella Brush".
I  havn't used a extra sentiment this time, cause the whole background is made with "Merry Christmas" in many different languages.

Ich hab euch ja gestern schon geschrieben, dass die neue Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 4 heute startet.

Das heutige Thema war Heat Embossing. In fünf ausführlichen Videos haben Jennifer McGuire, Kristina Werner und Julie Ebersole verschiedene Techniken gezeigt.

In five detailed videos Jennifer McGuire, Kristina Werner and Julie Ebersole showed different techniques.

Meine Umsetzung dieser gezeigten Techniken scheiterte anfangs etwas, da wohl mein VersaMark-Kissen etwas zu trocken war und daher während des Arbeitens das Pulver nicht mehr auf dem Papier haften blieb... Zum Glück hatte ich mir vor kurzem ein Fläschchen Nachfüll-Tinte besorgt - wie wenn ich's geahnt hätte!

My tries for these techniques failed in the beginning a little bit, cause my Versamark Inkpad seems to be too dry - the powder didn't stick to the paper very well during the next steps... What a luck, recently I bought a bottle of re-inker - as if I guessed this!
 
Auch das Maskieren (von Jennifer McGuire gezeigt) klappte bei mir nicht zufriedenstellend. Auch hier haftete das Pulver nach der Entfernung der Maske nicht mehr richtig auf dem Papier...

The masking-technique (shown by Jennifer McGuire) didn't work satisfying. After removing the mask, the powder didn't stick well enough to the paper again.

Aber das hinderte mich alles nicht daran, weiter zu experimentieren und so entstanden immerhin drei Karten - alle mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Heat-Embossing.

But I continued to experiment and at least I made three cards - all with the focus on Heat Embossing.
