K1-1078 - worldwide Smiles

Was meint ihr? Was macht unsere Welt besser?
Definitiv ein sehr vielversprechender Versuch ist ein Lächeln! Es ist herzerwärmend, jeder kann es einsetzen und hey, es kosten nicht mal was! 
Übersetzung des englischen Textes "Smiles make the world a better place" = "Lächeln macht die Welt zu einem besseren Ort".

What do you think? What makes our world better? Definitely a very promising try are smiles! They warm the heart, everybody can deploy them and hey, they don't cost a penny at all!

Ich habe das große "Smiles" aus rotem Cardstock und den Globus zweimal aus hellem Kraft-Cardstock ausgestanzt und diese passgenau aufeinander geklebt. 
Den restlichen Text hab ich mit den Einzelbuchstaben auf Vellum gestempelt und anschließend mit einem Vellum-tauglichen schwarzen Tuschestift nachgezogen.
Alles arrangiert, befestigt und als Abschluß noch die kleinen Herzen über die Weltkugel verteilt aufgeklebt.

I diecut the big "Smiles" out of red cardstock and the globe two times out of a light kraft cardstock and layered them together.
The rest of the sentiment I stamped with the single letters on vellum and then traced the lines with a vellum-capable black ink.
I arranged all pieces, adhered them and to finish the card I spread the little hearts all over the globe.

K1-1354 - broken glass

Die Technike von Lydia Fiedler (OCC - Spring Card Capm, Day 10) mit dem Glitter Gel (und meinen Abwandlungen) haben mich eine ganze Weile beschäftigt...

Für diese Karte habe ich die Visible Image Stencil "breaking glass" verwendet. Mein Versuch, den inneren Teil zu maskieren glückte nicht ganz so gut, weshalb ich mich dann dazu entschloss, ein echtes Loch in die zerbrochene Scheibe zu schneiden und dort meinen Text zu platzieren...

Der englische Text "don't look back with anger, look forward with HOPE" bedeutet übersetzt "schau nicht zurück mit Wut, sieh nach vorn mit Hoffnung".
Ich denke, gerade in der aktuellen Zeit ein wunderbar passender Spruch, wo man doch allenthalben Aussagen hört, man hätte in den letzten Wochen so vieles anders machen können oder sollen... (aber die Vergangenheit ist nun mal, wie sie ist!) - und ich bin mir nicht sicher, wo wir alle nun stehen würden, wenn es anders gemacht worden wäre... Aber das Allerwichtigste ist - niemals die Hoffnung verlieren!

The technique of Lydia Fiedler (OCC - Spring Card Camp, Day 10)with the glitter gel (and my own modifications) kept me busy for a while...

For this card I used the Visible Image stencil "breaking glass". My try, to mask off the center area didn't turn out well, so I decided to cut a real hole in the broken glass and place my sentiment there...

I think, this sentiment fits perfect to our current time, cause many people talk about the past few weeks and are very critical (but you can't modify the past!) - and I'm not sure where we would stand today, when things were done different... But the most important thing is - never give up hope!

Online Card Class "Spring Card Camp"
Student-Gallery Days 6-10

Most of the time I'm inspired by the videos of the current "OCC - Spring Card Camp" right now.

This is an extra long class - started Saturday, April 11th and last until Thursday, April 30th, Wrap-Up day is Thursday, May 7th. / On every one of the 20 days you get one video with intructions and tips to create in minimum two (different) cards in almost one main working process!

K1-726 - Shaker-Karte - Hoffnung

Während der Online Card Class - Heat Wave habe ich ja mal wieder viel herum-experimentiert. Unter anderem ist dabei der Hintergrund entstanden, den ich heute endlich verwendet habe.
Ich hatte eine Stencil mit Versamark und zwei unterschiedlichen Embossing-Pulvern verwendet (die beiden da entstandenen Hintergründe warten noch auf ihren Einsatz...). Da am Ende dann noch so viel Tinte an der Schablone dran war, hab ich diese auf ein weiteres Papier "gestempelt" und die Mischung der beiden Embossing-Pulver auch gleich darauf verteilt, das ganze dann erhitzt und da hatte ich diesen coolen Hintergrund! :-)
Das ist doch mal ein effektives Verwenden von "Resten", oder?!

During the time of the Online Card Class - Heat Wave I made several technique-tests. One of the results you can see here in the background-layer of the card I made today.
I used a stencil with VersaMark Ink and two different Embossing-Powders (the two background-papers I made still wait for their use...). In the end there was so much ink remaining on the stencil and so I "stamped" it on another piece of paper and also used the rest of the embossing-powder-mixture to cover it, heated it up and got this cool background! :-)
This was an effective use of the remaining stuff, right?!

Ideen zu dieser Karte:
Der Embossing-Pulver-Mix ist nicht ganz homogen gemischt - es gibt Bereiche mit eher grünem oder eher goldenen Anteil. Ich wollte gerne die große gestanzte Blüte aus dem Stanzen-Set verwenden - am liebsten in schwarz (auch embossed), um nicht zu viel Farb-Unruhe zu erzeugen.
Das hatte irgendwie etwas von einer Trauerkarte... Dazu wiederum passte das Wort Hoffnung ganz gut... Und edles Gold in Kombination mit Grün als Farbe der Hoffnung passte da auch... So entstanden und ergaben sich die einzelnen Bausteine der Karte irgendwie fast von alleine!
Ob man nun eine Shaker-Karte unbedingt als Trauerkarte verwenden möchte ist nun noch eine Frage, die vorerst offen bleibt, aber man kann dieses edle Stück ja auch für andere hoffnungsvolle Anlässe verwenden... :-)

Ideas to this card:
The mixture of embossing-powders isn't equal - some areas ore more greenish, others are more golden. I had planned to use the big die-cut-flower - preferably in black and heat-embossed to avoid color-confusions.
Looked a bit like a condolence-card then... The word "Hoffnung" = "Hope" would fit to this and also the colors - gold is just noble and green is the color of hope... The parts of the card developed and arose nearly by themself!
If it is suitable to use a shaker-card as sympathy-card is the last question to think about - but there might be other hopeful reasons to use this precious card... :-)

K1-087 - Blumen säen / Seeds of today

Diese zweite Karte von heute ist bereits mit einem Text versehen.

Übersetzt heißt er "All die Blumen von morgen sind in den Samen von heute verborgen.".

Vor meinem inneren Auge hatte ich mir mit diesem Text zuerst eine Karte für ein Neugeborenes vorgestellt, jedoch denke ich inzwischen, dass er ebenso gut  auch in jede andere Lebenssituation passt! 

Denn vieles, was wir heute tun, lernen & erleben, zeigt seine Wirkung nicht sofort, sondern (leider) sehr oft mit Verzögerung.
Ich bin immer wieder hoch-erfreut und dankbar, wenn es endlich "morgen" ist, sich eine Anstrengung gelohnt hat und man weiß, es war gut, dass man etwas bestimmtes getan hat, die "richtigen Samen" in die Erde gebracht hat...

Erinnern wir einen netten Menschen aus unserem Umfeld daran!

Es findet sich bestimmt ein Anlass dafür!

The second card of today includes a little text. 

"All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today.".

My first intension for a card with this sentence was one for a newborn baby, but by now I think it fits also very good to every other situation in our lifetime.

Many things we do, lern and experience don't show its effects immediatelly, often they need (more or less) time to develop.  

When the lag is over, I'm very happy and thankful when "tomorrow" arrives in my life and I recognize then that all the struggles are worthwhile and I know it was good - I did something specific, I put the "right seeds" into the ground...

Let's remind a nice person in our life of this! I'm sure, there will be a reason!
