K1-1500 - time to Smile

Ich hab diesmal die Bastel-Überresten der letzten Tage gleich in eine weitere Karte umgewandelt...
Damit sich hier nicht noch mehr Kleinkram ansammelt!
Das ist ein sehr guter Vorsatz, der leider immer wieder in Vergessenheit gerät! 

Der Textfeld-Rest stammt von dieser Karte und der Hintergrund blieb beim Gestalten dieser übrig.
Noch etwas Farbe zur besseren Hervorhebung des gestanzten Schriftzugs zugefügt und einen ergänzenden Stempeltext embossed und fertig war ich mit "aufräumen"!

This time I recycled the leftovers of the last few days immediatelly into another card...
Do avoid a growing collection of little stuff!
That's a great intention, but one I often forget to realise it!

The sentiment panel is the rest of this card and the background is a leftover from this one.
I just added a bit of color to highlight the diecutted word and an additional stamped and embossed sentiment - and I had finished the "clean-up"!

K1-1382 - Lächeln

Heute poste ich endlich mal wieder eine Karte!
Die Basis entstand bereits während der letzten Online Card Classes - Spring Card Camp, aber erst jetzt kam ich dazu, sie fertig zu stellen.
"Wer schön sein will, muss Lächeln", dazu Regenbogen-Farben und Schmetterlinge - alles zusammen in einem  CAS Style - ich bin absolut happy mit dem Ergebnis!

Today I finally post a card again!
The base I created during the last Online Card classes - Spring Card Camp, but I just find time to finish the card now.
The translation of the German sentiment "Wer schön sein will muss Lächeln" is "Who wants to be beautiful, has to smile"!
The sentiment combined with rainbow-colours and butterflies - all together in a CAS style - I'm absolutly happy with this result!

The background beneath the front-layer is made with Distress Oxide Inks and an iridescent embossing paste. I scored the paper with lines and then diecut the letters and just used the negative part to cover this colourful paper, so the open areas of the letters shine bright in rainbow coloursthrough the open shapes!
From a rainbow strip I cut off I punched out all the small butterflies and adhered them adjacent to the letters. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped the sentiment and fussycut it out and adhered it to the card.

Die Inspirationen aus dem OCC Spring Card Camp machten mich super kreativ! In Kombination mit dem wechselhaften Wetter und der immer noch geltenden Empfehlung, zu hause zu bleiben, hatte ich einige sehr produktive Tage!

Ich werde versuchen, noch möglichst viele Karten zu posten, damit ich die noch in die  OCC-Galerien hochladen kann.
Aber die Posts werden erst mal nur "halbfertig" sein... die Material-Listen und einige zusätzliche Infos kommen dann später.
Bitte habt ein klein wenig Geduld - wenn ihr Fragen zu einzelnen Karten habt, schreibt bitte einen kleinen Kommentar, dann kommen die Infos da früher!

This time from Kristina Werner on Day 15 - using Ink Smooshing Technique.
But this card would also fit to the Double Word Die idea from Laurie Willison on Day 7.

I'm still crafting in every free time I find (I wish I would have more of it!). Most of the time

I'm inspired by the videos of the current "OCC - Spring Card Camp".

For the card I show you in this post, I used the left-over pieces (Fox and Sentiment) from this card.

But my focus was not on the technique of Julie Ebersole showed on Day 4 (Tuesday, 04-14) but on the one of Laurie Willison. She showed it some days later (Day 7, Friday, 04-17) but as I mentioned before, I'm very behind with my daily crafting time cause of the situation at home. So the combination of both techniques was perfect to catch up a bit...!

In the Detail picture you can see, I hadn't pulled out the rays of the Kraft-paper completely. To get a bit of dimension, I lifted the rays of the dicut by adding the cut outs of the same die of a bright yellow paper, folded them in half, glued them together and added them to the openings. So the center part of the kraft-paper rays stay flat and only the outer areas are lifted. 

Was a bit time consuming, but I love the result!

Ok... I have the same "problem" as often while I'm paticipating in Online Card Classes. I can't find enough time to craft AND to blog! This time it's a bit harder as usual, cause here the kids are still completely all at home 😷.
The home-schooling started last monday again and so I have my job as a part-time teacher back... 😬

The cards I wanna show you today are based on the technique, Julie Ebersole showed on Day 4 (Tuesday, 04-14). This technique includes coordinating DieCuts, Insider-Card-Layouts and lots of fun! :-)

K1-972 - colorful Mandala

"Unechte" Aquarellmalerei... das klingt vielleicht seltsam, trifft aber das, was ich hier ausprobiert habe, recht gut. Wie's geht, steht weiter unten.
Inspiriert zum Ausprobieren dieser Technik hat mich die Just Us Girls Challenge #452 mit dem Thema "Fast Watercolors". (Meine damit gemachten Karten waren nur leider viel zu spät fertig...)

Faux watercoloring... maybe a strange name but it fits perfect to what I tried here. What I've done I describe below.
I was inspired to try this technique by the Just Us Girls Challenge #452 "Fast watercolors". (But the cards I made with the technique were finished way too late...)

Über die Karte:
Zuerst hab ich auf feinem Aquarellpapier das Mandala gestempelt und es in weiß heiß embossed. Anschließend die Bereiche des Mandalas ganz grob mit wasserbasierten Stiften (Pinselstifte, Marker, ...) übermalt. Das seht ihr in dem "schlimm" aussehenden Bild ganz unten, das mit "Making Off" betitelt ist.
Jetzt eine Wasserflasche mit Sprühkopf oder ein Glimmerspray nehmen und großzügig Flüssigkeit draufsprühen! (Wenn man mit weniger Flüssigkeit arbeitet, hat man zwar etwas mehr Kontrolle über das, was passiert, aber das Ergebnis wird weniger nach Aquarell aussehen.) Wenn nötig, kann man jetzt mit einem feuchten Pinsel die Farben noch ein wenig bewegen oder weiter vermischen. Hier dran denken, dass die feuchten Farben meist viel farbintensiver erscheinen als später, wenn sie getrocknet sind!
Dann braucht man etwas Geduld, bis alles getrocknet ist! (Man kann natürlich auch einen Fön zu Hilfe nehmen, aber die Effekte werden schöner, wenn alles an der Luft trocknen darf.)
Ich hab meinen Hintergrund anschließend geteilt und die Ränder flach und das Mittelstück erhaben auf meiner Karte fixiert. Der schwarze ""sunshine"-Banner ist so gestaltet, dass er sich perfekt in diese Struktur einpasst (zu sehen in den Detail Bildern). Dann noch das gestanzte "hello" zugefügt.
Zum Abschluß hab ich als "gewisses Extra" noch die kleinen tropfenförmigen Strass-Steinchen in das Mandala-Muster eingefügt.

About this card:
First I used fine watercolor paper to stamp and heat emboss the Mandala with white embossing powder. Then I scribbled the waterbased colores (brush pens, Markers, ...) with quick strokes onto the different areas of the Mandala. The result of this step is visible in the last and "messy" picture named "Making Off".
Now you have to use your water bottle and spray it on the whole paper! You may use something like glimmer mist instead of water to get a nice shimmer effect. (When you use less water you may get the option to have a bit of control about everything what's happening, but it won't look as much as watercolor than with more water.) If necessary you may move or blend the colors a bit more with a moist brush. Don't forget, the wet colors look more intense than later when they are dried!
Now you have to be a bit patient until everything is dry! (You can heat it up, but the result is better when it's air drying.)
I cut my background paper into three pieces and adhered the two edges flat and the middle with dimensional tape on the cardbase. The black "sunshine" banner is cut and scored so it fits perfectly in there (visible in the Detail picures). I also adhered the "hello" die cut above.
To get a bit of a special extra, I added some tiny little rhinestone-droplets into the pattern of the Mandala.

Über die Karte:
Ich war mit meinem kreisförmigen Ink-Blending nur aus den drei Primärfarben (gelb, rot, blau) nicht ganz so glücklich - das violett ist im Farbton nicht ganz so geworden, wie ich es mir erhofft hatte...  Aber Not macht ja bekanntlich erfinderisch... Also hab ich einen Teil dessen, was mich gestört hat einfach mit dem negative DieCut-Stück verdeckt und jetzt kommt das regenbogenfarbige Hintergrundpapier schön zur Geltung! Zum Schluß hab ich die Karte noch mit vielen ganz zarten, fast durchsichtigen Pailletten abgerundet.

About this card:
I wasn't really happy with my circle-ink-blending result. I blended only the three primary colors(yellow, red and blue) together but my purple doesn't turn out as I planned... But you know, adversities bring new ideas (or: Necessity is the mother of invention!)... So I covered this part with a piece of negative DieCut and now the colorful rainbow background pops out! To finish the card I adhered lots of  almost clear sequins in mellow tints.

Über die Karte:

Auch diese Karte ist von der "Online Card Class -  Creative Chemistry 103 von Tim Holtz"  inspiriert. Die Off-Set-Technik hatte Tim dort auch nochmal gezeigt.
Hier wirkt das Kraft-Papier irgendwie "leichter" als sonst (oder ist das nur meine Erinnerung an den Sommertag, als die Karte entstand?).

The kraft-paper looks more lighter than usual (or is it just my memory of the summer-day I made this card?).

Ich mag derzeit ja die Tic-Tac-Toe-Challenges ziemlich gerne... kam daher nicht drumherum, nochmal eine Karte dafür zu machen. Irgendwie entspricht sie schon wieder den selben 2x3 Kriterien wie die vorangegangene Karte... woran das wohl liegt?

Currently I love to play with the Tic-Tac-Toe-Challenges... so I couldn't resist to make another card for it.
Somehow it fits to the same 2x3 keywords as my first one... what may be the reason for this?
