K1-1515 - Double-Slider - fairy year

Die heutige Karte ist der Grund, warum ich über meine bisherigen Postings der letzten Jahre nachgedacht habe und nun zu diesem Entschluss gelangt bin!

Heute wurde in Milos Kita unsere Erzieherin Katja verabschiedet!
Im Namen der Kinder und Eltern hab ich für sie diese Doppelte Zieh-Karte gemacht (= Auftrag meiner Elternvertreter-Kollegen.)
Wer Katja kennt, weiß auch sofort, warum ich mich bei dem Motiv für Elfen/Feen entschieden habe... dazu in Gedanken das Kindelied "Die Jahresuhr" und das Gefühl, dass die Zeit rennt (immerhin ist Milo nun auch schon seit zwei Jahren in der Kita Felsenblume!)... und schon war die Idee eines Jahres im Leben der Elfen geboren!

This card was the reason, why I started to think about my previous postings during the years and made this decision now!

Today Katja, one of the kindergarten techers of Milos daycare, had her last day and all kids and colleagues celebrated the farewell together. In the name of all kids and parents I made this double slider card for her (by order of my parent-spokesperson colleagues).
Everybody who knows Katja understand immediatelly why I've choosen the theme of fairies... in addition to this, a children song called "die Jahresuhr" (a song about the monthes, the seasons and the annual repetition) and the feeling of running time (Milo is part of this kindergarten for two years now!)... and there was the idea of the year in a fairy life!

Doch der Platz auf einer klassischen A6-Karte war viel zu klein für die geplante Szene! Auch eine normale DIN lang Karte war nicht das Richtige...
Da blieben nur noch wenige Optionen - das größere Kartenformat in Din A5 oder eine Karte mit Elementen zum heraus-klappen oder -schieben.
Ich hab noch nie zuvor eine Doppelte Zieh-Karte gemacht - das war doch jetzt ein guter Anlass, das mal auszuprobieren!

But the area on a usual A6 card was way too small for the scene I had in my mind! Also a DIN long card wasn't enough...
Only some options left - a bigger card size like DIN A5 or a card with unfoldable or movable elements.
I've never made a double slider card before - that seems a great occasion to give it a first try now!

Beginnen wir auf der "klassischen Kartenfront" mit der aktuellen Jahreszeiten Herbst und dem bald folgenden Winter. Wenn man die beiden Flügel herauszieht, kommt rechts (in Leserichtung) erst der Frühling und dann ganz links wieder der Sommer.
Die einzelnen Zeiten haben immer ein Elfen-Zuhause, eine Elfe und einige Details aus der saisonalen Natur. Die Übergänge werden durch kleine Luftwirbel angedeutet.
Für viele von uns gehört zu Feen auch etwas Glitzern und Funkeln dazu - darum hab ich neben den eher schlichten Aquarellfarben da noch einige Akzente gesetzt.

On the "usual cardfront" I placed the real season autumn and the following winter. When you activate the sliders there appears the spring on the right side and then you have to close the seasonal ring with the summer on the left side.
In every little scene there is an fairy home, a fairy and some natural stuff from the season. The crossings I symbolised with little wind-swirls.
For most people fairies and sparkle and glitter belongs together - so I added some coloured accents to the more unsophisticated artist watercolours I used for my colorations.

Für die große Szene hab ich 6 verschiedene Stempelsets von LawnFawn verwendet, dazu noch 4 weitere Sets von Create A Smile und Craft Emotions zur Gestaltung der Innenseite.
Für alles Stempeln, Maskieren, Kolorieren und Zusammenbauen hab ich sicher mindestens 4 oder 5 Stunden gebraucht!
Das war sehr Zeit-intensiv - aber der beste Lohn dafür war die Freude in Katjas Augen und ihr Lächeln! 😍💕

I used 6 different stamp sets from Lawn Fawn for the big scene and in addition 4 more sets from Create A Smile and Craft Emotions for the decoration of the inside.
With all the stamping, masking, colouring and putting everything together the card took me in minimum about 4 or 5 hours!
Was very time consuming - but the best salary was the joy in Katjas eyes and her smile! 😍💕

K1-445 - Sandburgen-Träume

Sonne, Strand & Meer... Was fehlt? Klar - eine Sandburg, verziert mit schönen Muscheln. 

Diesen Traum von einem neuen Eigenheim hab ich schon vor einigen Wochen gebastelt und dann einer Freundin zum Umzug in ihr eigenes Haus geschickt ("My home is my castle"). Ich wollte die Karte nicht online zeigen, ehe sie angekommen war, anschließend hab ich dann völlig vergessen, noch den Blogeintrag dafür zu schreiben.... (beginnender Alzheimer?)

Für den "Sand" hab ich eine selbstgemachte Mischung aus zwei Embossing-Pulvern verwendet, um verschiedene Farb-Nuancen zu erhalten und die Burg etwas plastischer wirken zu lassen.

Anstelle von Pailletten hab ich echte kleine Muschel-Schalen als Verzierung verwendet. Ich glaub die hab ich 2012 an der Ostsee gesammelt. Wiedergefunden hab ich sie in der Schachtel mit Dekorations-Strandgut. Sie wirkten dort etwas verloren, so klein wie sie sind... 

Jetzt weiß ich jedenfalls, warum ich sie so lange aufbewahrt habe. War eine Vorhersehung! :-)

Sun, beach & ocean... What's missing? Sure - a sandcastle, decorated with beautiful shells.

I made this dream of a new private residential building some weeks ago for a friend who moved into her new dwelling ("My home is my castle"). I didn't want to show the card online until she got it, and then I totally forgot that I wanted to write the blogpost...

For the "sand" I used a selfmade mixture of two embossing-powders to get different color-shadings and a more dimensional look of the castle.

Instead of sequins I took real tiny seashells as embellishments. I think I collected them on the shore of the Baltic Sea in 2012. Now I found them again in a box with flotsam and jetsam for decoration. They seemed lonely there beside all the bigger shells, cause they are so tiny...

Now I know why I kept them for such a long time. It was a prevision! :-)

Der Traum von der "weißen Weihnacht" steckt ja in vielen von uns - außer in den Menschen, die im Winterdienst tätig sind... (Ich kenn da jemanden... - seither darf ich mir das nicht mehr wünschen!)

Ich geb euch heute hier einen kleinen Vorgeschmack, wie es aussehen könnte. Und wenn's draußen schneefrei bleibt, schau das Kärtchen an und fangt an zu träumen... ♫♩♫

Wer mich schon eine Weile kennt, weiß, dass ich nach jedem (!) meiner vielen Umzüge der letzten 12 Jahre ein Kärtchen mit der neuen Anschrift gemailt habe (ja, per Mail, denn ich hab mit dem Karten-Basteln ja erst dieses Jahr so richtig angefangen).  Es war immer das selbe Bild von Leendert Jan Vis. Es hatte sich irgendwie so ergeben und gehörte dann irgendwann einfach zu den Umzügen mit dazu. (Ich mag die Karte auch immer noch!)

Inzwischen wohnen wir seit drei (!) Jahren in unserem Häuschen und ein erneuter Umzug ist auf lange Sicht nicht geplant! Aber vielleicht zieht ja irgendwer anderes um, der Vögel auch gerne mag?

Woher die grundlegende Inspiration kam, ist denke ich klar, auch wenn klar ist, dass meine Karte weniger farbenfroh und garantiert nicht so süß wie die andere ist! ;-)

Everybody who knows me for a while, also knows: after every (!) one of my numerous moves during the last 12 years I send a mail with my new adress (yes, per @-mail, cause I really started cardmaking only some monthes ago). I always used the same picture of a card from Leendert Jan Vis. I'm not sure why, but somewhere along the time it was part of the moves. (I still like the pic!)

Now we live here in our house for nearly three (!) years and we surely don't plan to move again for a long time! But maybe someone else is moving, someone who like birds too?
I think it's sure, where I found the basic inspiration, although my card is less colorful and surely not as cute as the other one! ;-)
