Horse shoes are a clear symbol for luck - at least here in Germany - also in your country? Please tell me in the comments if you have known about this meaning before.
On this card they are visible in the sentiment and also hidden in the shaker! 

The translation of the German word "Glückwunsch" = felicitation or congratulation. 
I liked to use this word here, cause it has two times an U, perfect shape for horseshoes! But I haven't a "real" horseshoe die, so I made them all with the letter die, used silver paper to let them look more metallic and also to highlight them.

K1-1173 - Glück gehabt

Heute hab ich ein "Glück gehabt" Kärchen gebastelt!
Bekommen hat es mein Sohn Vincent (10,5), der am gestrigen Samstag nach einem kleinen Verkehrsunfall zur Beobachtung für zwei Tage ins Krankenhaus "durfte".
Zum Glück ist bei dem Unfall kein großer Schaden entstanden! Nur eine Schürfwunde am Arm, ein kaputtes Pedal, ein demolierter Stoßfänger am Auto! Und dazu ein Schreck für alle Beteiligten - hoffentlich ein lehrreicher Schreck für mein Draufgänger-Kind!

Anmerkung:
Er hatte seinen Fahrradhelm auf und war anschließend fast etwas stolz, dass er von den Polizisten, dem Team vom Krankenwagen, den Ärzten und dem Pflegepersonal dafür gelobt wurde! 😊 Die sehen oft genug helm-lose Folgen! 😢
Wenn ihr Kinder habt, erzählt ihnen von Vincent und seinem Unfall. Achtet drauf, dass sie ihre Helme tragen! Auch wenn sie oft meinen, ein Helm sei nicht "cool"! Es könnte ihre Leben retten!

Was da im Einzelnen passiert ist, warum er die Kontrolle über das Rad verloren hat,... einiges lässt sich jetzt nur schwer herausfinden! Aber sicher ist, dass er großes Glück hatte!
Dank an den Autofahrer, der nur die erlaubten 30 km/h gefahren ist und dann auch noch abgebremst hat! (Der Zustand unserer Dorfstraße ist der einzige Grund, warum ich mich auf die anstehenden mehr-monatigen Sperrungen in der ganzen Umgebung hier freue!)

Today I made a "Lucky you" card
It's for my son Vincent (10,5), who is in hospital for two days of supervision after a bike-accident on Saturday.
I'm so happy and thankful it was only a small accident, no big damages! An abrasion near his elbow, a broken pedal and a hole in the front bumper face bar of the involved car! And the scare for all participiants - I hope a salutary scare for my little fearnought-kid!

Notice:
He was wearing his cycle helmet and was proud earning kudos from the policemen, the ambulancemen and the docs and  caregivers in hospital! 😊 They see way too often the results of helmet-free cycling! 😢
If you have kids, tell them about Vincent and his accident. Take care they use their helmets! Although they often think it's not "cool" to wear it! It may save their lives!

Über die Karte:
Geplant hatte ich diesmal eigentlich etwas ganz anderes... aber beim "Spielen" mit der Stencil und den Farben ist dann dieses Muster-Papier entstanden...  Da es mal wieder völlig in die Kategorie "stretch your materials" passt, wollt ich euch die Karte, die damit entstanden ist, nicht vorenthalten! ;-)
Ich hab erst mit einem weißen, später auch mit farbigen Buntstiften die Ränder der Equaliser Stencil auf Kraftpapier nachgezogen, einige hab ich so gelassen, andere ausgemalt. Die Schablone hab ich im Verlauf mehrmals versetzt, so dass zum einen das ganze Papier mit dem Muster bedeckt wurde und zum anderen natürlich zum Erzeugen des Musters! Hier meine Arbeitsschritte:
1* weiß gefüllte Blocks
2* selbe Ausrichtung aber um einen halben Block versetzt - farbige gefüllte Blocks
3* 90° gedreht weiße gefüllte Blocks (immer über zwei Farben) in jeder zweiten Reihe der Schablone
4* selbe Ausrichtung in den noch leeren Reihen - offene weiße Blocks (immer in einer Farbe bleibend).

Experimentiert doch auch mal! Mit verschiedenen Farben, Materialien, Ausrichtungen oder auch mit Lücken im Muster! Bin gespannt auf eure Muster!

About this card:

I had a plan for something totally different... but while I was "playing" with the stencil and my colours this patterned paper appeard... It fits in the categorie "stretch xou materials" so I wouldn't miss to show you the card I made with this! ;-)
First I followed the edges of the stencil with white and later also with coloured pencils on Kraftpaper, some of the blocks I left open, some I coloured. I moved the stencil around several times to fill the whole paper and to get the pattern! My steps:
1* filled blocks in white
2* same direction but moved half a block - filled coloured blocks
3* turned 90° filled white blocks (overlapping two colours) in every secons row of the stencil
4* same direction in the empty rows - open white blocks (overlapping the same color-stripes).

Maybe you also want to experiment with your stencil and with different colors, color-mediums, directions or also with gaps inside of the pattern! I'm curious so see your patterns!

Ideen zur Karte:
Leider ist es auf den Bildern nicht gut sichtbar, aber ich habe die Schablone zuerst zusammen mit einer Embossing-Matte duch die Cuttlebug gegeben und erst anschließend mit Distress Inks und Blending-Tool eingefärbt. Dadurch dind die grünen Punkte leicht erhaben... wirklich nur leicht, aber es reicht aus, um einen optischen Effekt zu erzielen.
Neben dem Text und dem Ferkel hab ich mich an die klassische Glücks-Farbe grün gehalten. Ja, es ist auch die Farbe der Hoffnung - aber irgendwie gehört das ja schon auch ein wenig zusammen, oder?

Ideas behind the card:

Sadly you can rarely see it on the pics, but I put the stencil through the cuttlebug first, together with an embossing-matte. Then I colored it with an ink-blending-tool and distress inks.The green dots are a little bit elevated... only a tiny little bit, but enough to have an optical effect.
Beside the sentiment ("Good Luck") and the piggy I used the typical luck-color green. Yes, it's also the color of hope - but they both belong together in any way, don't they?
