Es erinnert an die Karte vom 24.02., da ich fast die selben Materialien verwendet habe und auch die Farbgebung sich ähnelt.
Ich mag diesen Bildaufbau mit den plastisch gestalteten Blütenblättern und den hand-gezeichneten Details etwas mehr, da er mehr CAS-Charakter hat.

Hufeisen sind ja nicht nur für Pferde-Fans ein ganz deutliches Symbol für Glück.
Auf dieser Karte sind sie gut sichtbar bereits im Text integriert und dazu auch welche im Shaker versteckt!

Horse shoes are a clear symbol for luck - at least here in Germany - also in your country? Please tell me in the comments if you have known about this meaning before.
On this card they are visible in the sentiment and also hidden in the shaker! 

The translation of the German word "Glückwunsch" = felicitation or congratulation. 
I liked to use this word here, cause it has two times an U, perfect shape for horseshoes! But I haven't a "real" horseshoe die, so I made them all with the letter die, used silver paper to let them look more metallic and also to highlight them.

Ich hab hier mal etwas mit Schablonen und Distress-Inks experimentiert - auf eher untypische Weise!

Zuerst hab ich Embossing Ink durch eine Schablone aufs Papier aufgetragen und Embossing Pulver zugefügt. Dann hab ich sofort die Schablone mit der klebrigen Seite auf ein zweites Papier gedrückt, um den inversen Schablonen-Abdruck zu bekommen. Auch hier ein Embossing Pulver aufgetragen, dann beide Papiere erhitzt.

Ich fügte bei beiden Papieren leuchtende Distress Ink Farben und Wasser zu. 

Nach dem Trocknen ging es ganz fix: Papiere zuschneiden, auf die Kartenrohlinge kleben, bei beiden den selben Schriftzug anbringen und jeweils mit unterschiedlichen silbernen Verzierungen dekorieren.

Das war's!

I played around with stencils and Distress Inks - in a more uncommon way!

First I added embossing ink through the stencil on one paper and added embossing powder to it. Then I immediatelly added the sticky side of the stencil onto a second piece of paper to get the inverse stencil-image. I also added an embossing powder to it and then heat embossed both papers.I added bright colors of Distress Ink and water on both papers.

After everything was dry, it was a quick process: I re-sized the backgrounds, added them to cardbases, added the same diecuted sentiment and embellished with similar but not the same silver stuff.

That's it!

Über diese Karte:
Ich hab mir selbst di Aufgabe gestellt, die Scattered Polka Dots Stencil zusammen mit vielen bunten Pailletten zu verwenden.
Als eine Möglichkeit kam mir in den Sinn, eine klare, glitzernde Embossingpaste als eine Art Kleber zu werwenden und einfach die Pailletten in die feuchte Paste zu legen und abzuwarten, bis alles fest ist...
Gute Idee, nur trocknete die Paste zu schnell! Also hab ich einen Teil der Pailletten dann noch mit einem Tropfen klaren Klebers auf den glitzernden Punkten befestigt.
Jetzt sind es regenbogenfarbige Konfetti-Pailletten!

About this card:

I challenged myself with the task of combining the Polka Dot Stencil with lots of Sequins.
The easiest way I thought could be this: use clear or glittery embossing paste as a glue and just put the sequins in the wet paste and they would be adhered after drying...
Good idea, but the paste dried to fast! So I ended up with a small drop of translucent glue on every sparkling spot of embossing paste.
Now they are colorful confetti-sequins!
Translation of the German sentiment "Lass dich feiern" = "Let's celebrate you".

"Stretch your supplies!" ist ja immer noch etwas, was ich liebend gerne mach! Ein wenig experimentieren, ausprobieren und sich von Material und Farben leiten lassen...

Hier hab ich eine Stencil mit schrägem Streifenmuster maskiert und sie nach jedem Farbauftrag ein Stück weiter gedreht (der Drehpunkt liegt unter dem Glitzerpapier). Die "Strahlen" überlappen sich teilweise.
Da ja Regenbögen oft entstehen, wenn Licht und Wasser zusammen kommen, hab ich die Distress  Oxide Inks im Anschluß noch mit Wasser besprenkelt und so noch den tollen Effekt mit den ausgewaschenen Farben erreicht. Was meinst du, symbolisieren die kleinen, durchsichtigen Pailletten eher Lichtreflexe oder auch Wassertröpfchen?

I masked a wonky stripes stencil and turned it a bit after every add of color (the focal angle point is beneath the glitter paper). Some of the rays are placed overlapping.
Rainbows are often visible when light and water meet, so I splattered some drops of water onto my Distress Oxide Inks and got this nice effect of wash-out colors. What do you think, are the little clear sequins a symbol for light reflexions or another one for water droplets?

K1-824 - LED Geburtstags-Kerzen

Wie bei Instagram schon angekündigt, zeig ich euch heute meine neue LED-Karte.
Ich hab versucht, sie trotz ihrer Dicke (wegen der enthaltenen Technik) zumindest auf der Vorderseite clean & simple zu gestalten.

I tried to create a clean & simple design on the front, although the card is a  bit bulky (cause of the included technique).

Ich bin ja nach wie vor ein großer Fan von LED-Karten!
Langsam aber sicher komme ich auch an den Punkt, das für mich am besten passendste Arbeitsmaterial dafür gefunden zu haben. Kupferband, Lötzinn und ganz wichtig: einen sehr kleinen, handlichen Lötkolben (Micro- oder Mini-Kolben)! 
Ich hatte oft Schwierigkeiten, die kleinen LED-Bauteile ordentlich zu befestigen. Flüssigkleber kam mir regelmäßig unter die Kontaktstellen und brachte damit meine Lämpchen zum Flackern. Wenn ich mit Lötzinn zum Befestigen der Lämpchen verwende, ist der "Kleber" selbst leitend und alles klappt perfekt! :-)
Vielleicht bin ich bisher noch nicht besonders gut im Löten, aber von Mal zu Mal wird es besser.

I'm still a big fan of LED-cards!
Slowly but surely I found the material for me to work the easiest way with. Coppertape, solder and a small and handy electric soldering iron (a Micro- or Mini-Tool)!
I often had problems to adhere the small LED-elements. Liquid glue went beneath the contacts and the lights guttered. When I use solder to fix the lights, the "glue" conduct electricity itself and everything is perfect!
Maybe I'm not great in soldering yet, but it's going better everytime.

Über die Karte:

Die Grundidee zu dieser Karte hab ich kürzlich für einen Bastelnachmittag mit 5 Freundinnen entworfen, die gerne mal lernen wollten, wie man LED-Karte macht.
7 Kerzen, 6 brennen schon und die letzte wird gerade noch mit einem echten Streichholz angezündet. Den gestanzen "Glückwunsch"-Text hab ich dreifach übereinandergelegt, damit er sich etwas von der Kerenreihe abhebt und auch damit das Streichholz alleine nicht zu massig wirkt. Apropos Streichholz: Ja, es ist echt und angebrannt.
Man kann ja kein unbenutztes, sauberes Streichholz verwenden, wenn schon Kerzen brennen, oder? Ich wollte meine Karte aber nicht mit Asche besudeln. Da kam mir die Idee, den angebrannten Kopf mit Embossingpulver zu überziehen. Um auch mein VersaMark Kissen nicht einzusauen, hab ich den Kopf einfach direkt nach dem Auspusten der Flamme noch heiß in durchsichtiges Embossingpulver getunkt und das anhaftende Pulver dann ganz normal mit dem HeatTool geschmolzen.

About this card:

The basic idea for this card I recently designed for a crafting-sessionwith 5 friends who asked me to teach them the making of LED-cards.
7 candles, 6 of them already burning and the last is enlightened in this moment with a real matchstick.
I stacked the "Congratulation"  sentiment diecut three times to lift it from the row of candles and also level it up a bit with to the bulky matchstick. Speaking of matchstick: Yes, it's real and burnt.
You can't use a new and clean stick when some candles alredy burn, right? I wanted a card without any ash-sights. My idea was to cover the burned head with clear embossingpowder. To avoid a smudged VersaMark Inkpad I put the hot stick directly into the powder and then I melted the adhering powder with my HeatTool.

Endlich fängt draußen im Garten alles an zu blühen!
Zeit, auch mal wieder einen Srauß zu binden und ihn jemandem Besonderen zu schenken, oder?

Über die Karte:

Ich hab mal etwas mit verschiedenen Drucker-Papieren herum-experimentiert. Für diese Karte kam ein glossy Photo-Papier zum Einsatz.
Fazit: Die Copic Marker lassen sich darauf zwar gut vermalen, jedoch gibt es Einschränkungen bei den Farbverläufen und dem Blending.
Bei diesem Digi-Stamp war das so in Ordnung, da man genug Möglichkeiten hat, das Bild auch ohne allzu viel Blending in verschiedenen Schattierungen zu colorieren (besonders den Strauß).

About this card:
I made some experimentations with different printer-papers. For this card I used glossy photo-paper.
Result: You can paint on it with Copic markers, but the blending is a bit difficult here. 
With this digi-stamp this was ok for me, cause there are enough possibilities to color the picture in different shades without too much blending (especially the bouquet).

 → I've made two of the banners, but then I cut the blue one smaller on three sides. Then I "sew" the two banners together on the last short side with a piece of yellow BakersTwine through the pierced-dots.

Normalerweise mach ich ja Karten immer nur einmal. Heute wollte ich jedoch mal ein und das selbe Layout in zwei unterschiedlichen Weisen gestalten und die Wirkung dann vergleichen.
Andere Kartenbasis, anderer Hintergrund, andere Farben für Details.
Welche gefällt euch besser? Kranz-1 oder Kranz-2 (dieser hier)?

Usually I craft cards only once. Today I wanted to create one layout in two different ways and compare both wreaths.
Different cardbase, different background, different colors for the details. - Which one do you prefer? Wreath-1 or Wreath-2 (this one)?
Translation of the sentiment "herzlichen Glückwunsch" = "Happy Birthday" or "heartfelt congratulations".

Tut mir leid, dass die Bild-Qualität nicht wie sonst ist. Der Akku meiner Spiegelreflex-Kamera scheint altersschwach zu werden. :-( Ich musste daher heute auf meine Handy-Kamera zurückgreifen.... :-( Ich hoffe, ich kann den Akku baldmöglichst ersetzen!
Sorry, the quality of the pic isn't as good as usual. The rechargeable battery of my reflex-camera seems to be demaged. :-(  So I had to use my phone-camera for today... :-( I hope I can substitute the battery soon!
