Über die Karte:
Für den Hintergrund hab ich Distress Oxide Inks mit einem BlendingTool auf ein Stück Cardstock aufgetragen, dann Versamark mit Hilfe der die Uniko Leaf Stencil (ein Goody von der Uniko-Retreat-Party im Dezember) und zuletzt klares EmbossingPulver. Nach dem Schmelzen kam dann Wasser dazu, um alle Farbe, die nicht vom Embossing-Pulver gedeckt ist wieder auszuwachen. Ich hatte diese Technik kürzlich schon mal hier genauer erklärt.
Um diesem Hintergrund nicht die Show zu stehlen, hab ich den Rest der Karte eher schlicht gehalten. Kraft Paper und einige dezente FunFlowers im Vordergrund, dazu noch ein Sentiment Block.

About this card:

For the background I added Oxide Inks with a blending tool to a pievce of Cardstock, put my VersaMark Ink through the Uniko Leaf Stencil (a Goody from the Uniko-Retreat-Party in December) added clear embossing powder. After this was melted I put water on it to wash out all the areas without embossing powder. I've shown and ecplained this technique recently here with some more details.
To let this background stand out I tried to let the rest of the carl simple. A bit of Kraftpaper, some simple FunFlowers and a sentiment Block should be enough I thought.

Nachdem ich letzte Woche auf Instagram die ersten Osterhäschen bei Birka gesehen hatte, kam bei mir das gringende Gefühl auf, dass es an der Zeit ist mit den Valentins-Karten aufzuhören und sich dafür langsam auf das nächste anstehende Fest vorzubereiten: Ostern!

Hintergründe mit Schablonen zu gestalten macht so viel Spaß!
Diesmal hab ich für die Wellen einen nach oben hin heller werdenden Farbverlauf verwendet.
Das "alte Papier" hab ich gleich dreimal auf der Karte verwendet: in der Flasche, als Hintergrund für den Spruch und im Inneren der Karte. So entsteht der Eindruck, die Nachricht in der Karte wäre zuvor in der Flasche gewesen...

Creating backgrounds with stencils is so much fun!
This time I used an ombre-color-effect for the waves.
The distressed paper-look I used three times on this card: in the bottle, as background for the sentiment and also in the inside of the card. - So it feels like the message inside is the one out of the bottle...

Translation of the sentiment "Post für dich" = "Happy Mail" or "You get mail".

Ideen zur Karte:
Ich habe eine Schüttel-Karte gemacht... ohne viele Schaker-Elemente - nur, um die Papierrolle in der Flasche beweglich zu machen.
Dazu hab ich die Flasche zweimal auf Vellum gestempelt, sie ausgeschnitten und dann die in sehr feine Streifen geschnittenen schwarzen 3D-Pads angebracht, Papierrolle dazwischengelegt und alles zusammengefügt.
Dann das Wasser geteilt (ja, ich kann so was auch *grins*) und die Flasche "versenkt".

Ideas behind the card:
I created a kind of shaker on this card... without lots of shaker-stuff - only to move the paper-roll inside the bottle. 
So I stamped the bottle two times on vellum, cut them out, adhered really fine stripes of black 3D-pads, placed the colored paper-roll in between and put all together.
Then I divided the water (yeah, I did it *smile*) and put the bottle "into" the water.

Haven't used them often by now, but I love the bunch of possibilities you get with them!
The second Favorite is: I love stencils and embossing-paste! :-)

2016_06-14 - Nachtrag:

Ich hatte wohl übersehen, dass in den Challenge-Regeln explizit nach einer Erklärung gefragt war, was denn das "Favorite" bei der gezeigten Karte genau ist.

Hmmm... jetzt hab ich das "Problem", dass ich kein "Lieblings"mensch bin! Ich habe weder ein absolutes Lieblings-Essen, noch ein Lieblings-Stempelset und schon gar keine Lieblings-Bastel-Technik oder Lieblings-Farb-Kombination. (Eine einzige Ausnahme fällt mir da ein: ich spiele Brettspiele, wann immer möglich mit gelben Spielsteinen = Lieblings-Spielfarbe.) 

Ich kann mich für so viele Dinge begeistern - Farben, Techniken, Themen... und bei Stempeln verwende ich die, die am besten zu meinem aktuellen (meist spontan entstehenden) Projekt passen. Ich habe Firmen, die ich sehr sehr gerne mag und daher oft verwende (z.B. auch Create A Smile), aber ich kann da kein Lieblings-Stempelset nennen. Alle Sets, die ich besitze hab ich, weil ich sie toll fand & finde. Eventuell gibt es in den einzelnen Sets Stempel, die ich mehr oder weniger gerne mag - aber auch das schwankt bei mir je nach Laune. 

Daher kann ich mich jetzt nur nachträglich noch dafür entschuldigen, wenn ich diese wichtige Challenge-Regel missachtet habe.

K1-602 - embossed Birthday-Flowers

Ich hab schon wieder mit Farben herum-experimentiert...
Diesmal hab ich einen Embossingfolder mit Aquarellfarben eingepinselt, ihn dann noch mit einem Mini-Mister gewässert und dann damit ein ebenfalls angefeuchtetes Aquarellpapier geprägt. Um die Farbverläufe noch etwas zu verstärken, hab ich anschließend das Papier nochmals mit dem Mini-Mister eingesprüht.
Als alles getrocknet war wurde das Aquarellpapier passend für die Karten-Basis in Form gerissen, einen Streifen Vellum mit dem Glückwunsch-Text embossed und alles zusammen mit einigen Pailletten arrangiert und aufgeklebt.

I did it again... I experimented with colors...
This time I brushed watercolors into an embossuing-folder, sprayed some water with a Mini-Mister on it and embossed some (also wet) watercolor-paper. To get the colors blend a bit more I sprayed it once more with water.
When everything was dried, I ripped the paper into the correct size, embossed a strip of vellum with the sentiment and arranged everything together with some sequins and glued the parts together.

Experimentieren mach ich ja gerne!
Diesmal durfte wiederdie Kosmetik-Abteilung dran glauben... Wenn man die klebrige Embossing-Tinte nach dem Stempeln mit Lidschatten bestäubt und dann nach dem Trocknen vorsichtig den Überschuss entfernt (poliert) hat man anschließend eine feine, perlmuttartige Oberfläche. :-)
(Eventuell ähnelt das Ganze nun "Perfect Pearls" - das kenn ich aber bisher nur dem Namen nach. - Würde mich über Infos & eure Erfahrungen darüber freuen.)
In Kürze werde ich den Lidschatten noch zusammen mit Heißklebe-Pulver testen.

This time I went once more into the beauty-section...
When you stamp sticky embossing-ink and dust it with powder-eyeshadow, let it dry and then remove carefully the excess (polish it) you'll get a soft, soft and pearlescent surface. :-)
(Maybe it's like "Perfect Pearls" - until now I know it only by it's name. - Would be great to get some more informations & your experiences with it.) 
I plan to try the eyeshadow with heat&stick-powder soon.

Ihr habt sicher schon bemerkt, dass die Online Card Class "Background Check" bei mir immer noch nachwirkt... 
Papier in einen Prägefolder geben und anschließend die erhabenen Stellen mit Sponge-Daubern bunt einfärben hatten wir ja bereits bei diesen Blüten.
Für das Spinnen-Netz hab ich's mir sogar noch einfacher gemacht: ich bin nur vorsichtig mit einem kleinen Stempelkissen über das Papier gestrichen, ganz ohne weitere Hilfsmittel.

I think you've recognized the Online Card Class "Background Check" still works inside of me...
To emboss paper in a folder and then colore the higher areas with sponge-daubers I used for these flowers.
I minimized the effort for this spider web: I just went over the paper with a small ink pad carefully - without any other appliances.


Ich leide zwar nicht an einer ausgeprägten Arachno-Phobie, aber Spinnen sind NICHT meine Freunde... Je größer das Tier und je dicker und behaarter die Beine, desto ungeheuerlicher!
Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich die Karte ganz frech bei der Monster-Challenge mit einstelle! ;-)

I have no "real" arachnophobia, but spiders are NOT my friends... The thicker and furrier the legs the worse and more monstrous it is!
That's the reason why I naughty enter this card into the Monster-Challenge! ;-)

K1-370 - Spider in the web

O.K., ich glaube, ich hab euch vor einiger Zeit schon mal erzählt, dass ich keine freilebenden Spinnen mag... Weder draußen im Garten noch im Haus drinnen. Und bislang bin ich auch noch nicht so arg süchtig nach Halloween-Zubehör.
Daher weiß ich wirklich nicht, warum ich ein 3-teiliges Stanzen-Set und einen Embossing-Folder mit Spinnennetzen besitze! O.K., da ich sie nun mal hab, benutze ich sie eben auch ab und zu.

O.K. I think I have told you some time ago, I don't like free spiders... Neither outside in the garden nor inside the house. And I'm not addicted so much to Halloween-stuff by now.
So I really don't know why I have a 3-piece-Die-Set and an Embossing-Folder with spider-webs! O.K., I have them and from time to time I want to use all my stuff.

Action-Karten sind toll - nicht nur für Kinder! Heute hab ich etwas ganz Neues gemacht: Eine bewegliche Spinne! Man kann sie fast überall auf die Karte setzen und sie bleibt "kleben"! Gruselig, oder? ;-)
Als ich meinem Männe von der Karte erzählt hab, kam mir (dank seiner Hilfe) die endgültige Idee dafür!

Action-cards are great - not only for kids! Today I made something totally new: A moving spider! You can put it to nearly any space on the web and it will "stick" there! Scary, isn't it?! ;-)
Talking with my Hubby about the card gave me the final idea for this (thanks to him for the inspirations)!
