Bis Weihnachten ist es noch eine Weile hin... Aber vorsorglich schon mal die eine oder andere Karte zu basteln ist immer hilfreich, denn die kommenden Monate vergehen sicher wieder wie im Flug!

Ich habe hier einen Text Embossing Folder eingeweiht, das embosste Vellum sieht grandios aus - detaillierte Prägung und recht kleine, aber sehr gut lesbare Buchstaben!
Auch die kleine Elfe ist zum ersten Mal aufs Papier gehüpft!

It's still a while until Christmas... But it's always helpful to make some cards precautionary, cause time will surely fly by aine, like every year!

I used a text embossing folder, the embossed vellum looks great - a detailed embossing and quite small but easy legible letters!
Also the little elf hopped onto paper for the first time!

Wie jedes Jahr gibt es auch jetzt bei "Online Card Classes" wieder einen Holiday Card Workshop. 10 Tage gefüllt mit Video-Anleitungen, Ideen und viel Spaß!
Ich hab mir nun zu einigen der vorgestellten Ideen eigene Kreationen ausgedacht und zeig euch die nun hier.

Bei einem anderen Bastelprojekt blieb kürzlich ein Stück silberne Prägefolie übrig... zu wenig, um es zurück in die Packung zu legen, aber zu viel, um es einfach nur wegzuwerfen! Damit es nicht (wie so viele andere Papiere zuvor) in irgendeiner Scrap-Kiste verschwindet, hab ich es gleich verbastelt!

Der englische Text "For unto us a child is born" heißt übersetzt "Denn uns ist ein Kind geboren". 

As leftover from another crafting project I had a piece of silver embossing foil... not enough to keep it in the package but too much to throw it away! To avoid to loose it in a scraps-box (like many more papers in the past) I used it immediately!

Ich hab für die Online Card Class - "Crushing on Cardstock" zum Video von Cathy Zielske am Tag 1 gleich mehrere Karten mit Embossing Foldern gestaltet.
Hier kommt die letzte Embossing Folder Karte!

Das Besondere dieser Karte ist das Papier, das ich geprägt habe. Mein ältester Sohn Paul hat es vergangenes Jahr selbst hergestellt und es mir dann zu Weihnachten geschenkt.
Ich verwende es immer sehr sparsam, da es etwas so besonderes ist! 💓

The very special thing on this card is the paper I used to emboss. My biggest son Paul made it last year and gave it to me last christmas.

Ich hab für die Online Card Class - "Crushing on Cardstock" zum Video von Cathy Zielske am Tag 1 mehrere Karten mit Embossing Foldern gestaltet.
Für die Karte Nummer drei habe ich den selben Embossing Folder nochmal verwendet - mit völlig anderem Ergebnis!

The translation of the German sentiment on the front "Ups - zu spät" = "Oups - too late" and on the inside "Alles Gute - nachträglich" = "best wishes - subsequently".

This one is number two!

It's a bithday cad with some parts of sentiments.

The German sentiment "Potzblitz!" is a shout out to show astonishment, surprise and amazement. Think you can translate it with something like "what a surprise!" "Omg!"
"Wie die Zeit vergeht" = "How time goes by".
And on the inside "Schon wieder ein Jahr vorbei" = "One more year passed".

Am Tag 1 der Online Card Class - "Crushing on Cardstock" hat Cathy Zielske Ideen mit unterschiedlichen Mustern gezeigt. auch eine mit den guten, alten Embossing Foldern.
Das hat mich motiviert, meine Folder zur Hand zu nehmen und einige herauszusuchen und mal wieder zu verwenden. 
Warum nur sind sie so in Vergessenheit geraten? Sie zaubern immer noch tolle Effekte aufs Papier!

On Day 1 of the Online Card Class - Crushing on Cardstock" Cathy Zielske showed some ideas with different patterns, also one with the good old Embossing Folders.
That gave me the motivation to take my folders and search for some to use.
Why they were fallen into oblivion? They still create awesome effects on the paper!

It's already day three of the Introducing week for the 7th Birthday & February Release!

This is a Graffiti stamp, so I tried to involve this into my crafting process. 

Havn't used this brick wall embossing folder for a longer time (like many other folders by the way...)

For this card I think it was the perfect choice!

But let's stat in the beginning: I used my StampingTool to make the positioning of the impression on the same spot easier. The different colours were stamped one after another.

The next steps were embossing, cutting, adhering on the cardbase and embellishing the Graffiti with colourful Nuvo Drops.

The sentiment I stamped on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then I teared the edges to amplify a grunge look.

Ab heute gibt es wieder neue Stencils bei Uniko!
Hier möchte ich euch das Mandala zusammen mit einer Technik-Kombination zeigen - Ink Blending und Embossing mit der selben Schablone!

First I want to show you the Mandala in a double-technique: ink blending and  dry embossing with the same stencil!

The embossed pattern isn't clearly visible here on the photos,
 but when you touch it, it's fabulous!

Über die Karte:
Zuerst hab ich die Stencil zusammen mit einer Silikon-Platte durch meine Cuttlebug Maschine gegeben, um das Muster der Stencil aufs Papier zu übertragen. Dabei nicht vergessen, die Stencil mit Maler Tape zu fixieren, damit nicht verrutscht! Anschließend hab ich vorsichtig (ohne zu großen Druck!) die Farben mit einem Blending Tool aufgetragen.
Vermutlich kann man die Reihenfolge auch tauschen, aber da sollte man dann zwischendurch die Stencil reinigen und sie anschließend erneut fixieren - das war der Grund, warum ich das Mandala erst geprägt und dann eingefärbt habe!
Als Text hab ich mich für ein simples "hello" in Form einer mehrschichtigen Stanzung entschieden und hier dann den schmaleren Schriftzug noch mit Glitzer verziert.

About this card:
IFirst I put the stencil together with a silicone matte through my Cuttlebug machine to impress the pattern of the stencil into my paper. Don't forget to fix the stencil with painters tape  to avoid it sliding around! After this I softly (with less pressure!) added colous with a blending tool.
I think it's also possible to change the steps, but then you have to clean and re-fix the stencil before you emboss with it - that was the reason why I first embossed and then coloured they mandala.
As sentiment I used a simple "hello", created with a layered diecut where I decorated the finer lettering with some glitter.
