Sternanis ist toll!
Diese Früchte waren einer der Gründe, warum ich mir das Stempelset gekauft hab! Die anderen Stempel sind auch toll, aber diese Sternanis eben besonders!
Ich habe die Karte in einem ganz natürlichen, schlichten Stil gehalten, sowohl was das Layout als auch was die Farben angeht. Auf Dekorationen hab ich verzichtet, nur die Sternanis-Samen haben einen glänzenden Überzug bekommen, so wie sie auch in echt aussehen.

I like Chinese star anise!

These fruits are one of the reasons why I bought the stamp set! The other stamps are also great, but the star anises are my favorites!
The card has a very simple and natural style - in the layout and also the colours. I passed on embellishments, but I covered the seeds with a layer of gloss, like they look in real.

Manchmal versuch ich mich an was Neuem... diesmal an der CAS Definition von "nur ein Drittel oder weniger". Der Focus liegt im linken Drittel auf dem Blütenstempel. Der Text ist auf der gedachten Linie zwischen dem untersten und dem mittleren Drittel platziert.
Um der Karte noch mehr CAS-Charakter zu verleihen, hab ich mich bei den Materialien hier nur auf das ganz elementare konzentriert und jeglichen SchnickSchnack vermieden.

Sometimes I try something new... this time it's the CAS definition of "use only one third or less". The flower image is the focal point on the left side. The sentiment is placed on the imaginary line between the first and the second third.
To give the card an even more CAS character I used a minimum of materials and avoided any gadgets, knick-knack or whatever you may call it.

The translation of the German sentiment "liebe Grüße" is " kind regards".

Irgendwie bin ich dieses Jahr noch ganz weit weg von jedem Weihnachtsgefühl...
Aber vergangenen Montag hat die Online Card Class - Merry Making gestartet und so langsam kommt der "Flow".
Hier ist meine erste Karte, zu der mich Cathy Zielskes Video an Tag 1 inspiriert hat.

Ich habe leider (noch) keine "Cover Plate"-Hintergrund-Stanzen, daher hab ich mir aus den Schneeflocken-Stanzen ein eigenes Muster gestanzt. Im Hintergrund der Schneeflocken sieht man das Papier mit den geblendeten DistressInks.

I haven't any Cover Plate background dies (yet), so I made my own pattern with a bunch of snowflake-dies. In the background of the snowflakes you can see the DistressInk-blended Paper.

Über die Karte:

Ich hab den Kranz mit weißer Pigment Ink auf dem Kraft-Papier gestempelt und dann mit Buntstiften coloriert. Die Schleife ist, wie der Text auch, mit weißem Embossingpulver gemacht. Nach dem Colorieren hab ich sie ausgestanzt und zusammen mit einigen Mini-Pailletten und kleinen Halbperlen auf dem Kranz platziert. 

About this card:

I stamped the wreath with a white pigment ink on the Kraftpaper and colored it with watercolor pencils. The bow is, like the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder. After coloring it with the pencild I diecut it and adhered it with some tiny sequins and small faux pearls on the wreath.

Über die Karte:

Hier glitzert's überall:

• Das Monster hat hellgrüne Stickles-Punkte.
• Es ist mit Wink of Stella Clear Brush beglittert.
• Die Hörner und die Zunge sind mit Glossy Accents überzogen.
• Die Augen sind mit weißem und schwarzten Enamel Accents gemacht und nachträglich aufgeklebt (ich hab leider keine anderen kleinen nicht-glitzrigen Fläschen hier... darum leider nur klassische schwarz-weiße Augen).
• Die HG-Sterne im unteren Teil der Karte sind mit einer fein schimmernden Embossingpaste gemacht.
• Die HG-Sterne oben bestehen aus einem transparenten Embossingpulver mit silbernen Glitter-Partikeln.

About this card:

On this card everything is sparkling:

• The monster has light green stickles-points.
• It is covered with Wink of Stella Clear Brush.
• The horns and the tongueare covered with Glossy Accents.
• The eyes were made seperately with white and black Enamel Accents and were adhered later (I have no other non-glittering little bottles here... so I made these classical black'n'white eyes).
• The BG-stars in the lower part of the card are made of an embossing paste with a fine shimmer.
• The BG-stars above are made with a translucent and silver sparkling Embossing Powder.

Über die Karte:

Noch eine Karte zu der mich Kristina Werners Video am OCC-Tag-1 inspiriert hat.
Nachdem ich bei erste Karte mit dem Lidschatten auf hellem Papier ein so gutes Ergebnis erhalten hatte, wollte ich nun noch testen, wie er sich auf dunklerem Papier verhält. Fazit: die Deckkraft ist mäßig gut - man kann die Farben nicht mehr ganz deutlich ausmachen, aber immerhin noch unterschiede in den Nuancen feststellen.
Dieses Mal hatte ich aber leider ein anderes Problem: mein Klebe-Pulver wurde beim Schmelzen leider nicht ganz flach und glatt, sondern irgendwie uneben (liegt vermutlich am Papier?!) - daher wirken die Federn nun nicht ganz so, wie ich es mir gewünscht hätte... In den kommenden Tagen werde ich noch einen Versuch mit einem glatteren Papier unternehmen und euch dann berichten!

About this card:

One more card which was inspired by the OCC-Day-1 video from Kristina Werner.
After my first positive try of using eyeshadow on a white paper I now wanted to try it also on darker paper. Result:the powder covers, but you can't see the clear colors anymore... but you still can identify different color-shades.
This time I had another problem: the sticky powder didn't melt even, it was a bit bumpy (I think it was the wrong paper?!) - so the feathers doesn't look like I had planned them... I'll make another try with a smoother paper during the next days and then I'll tell you about the difference.

Ich staune manchmal selbst immer noch, mit wie wenig Zutaten man wunderschöne und edle Karten basteln kann...
Hier hab ich den großen Mandala-Stempel von #CreateASmile Stamps mit einem tollen Embossingpulver von #Ranger embossed, einige wenige Akzente mit Glitzerkleber gesetzt und dann nur noch das Vellum mit dem Glückwunsch zugefügt.
O.K. der Glückwunsch ist auffällig: doppelt embossted extra dickes goldenes Embossing-Pulver!
OMG - in live sieht's noch beeindruckender dreidimensional aus als hier auf den flachen Bildern...!

Sometimes I'm still surprised how less suplies you need to create impressive and precious crds...
Here I used the big Mandala-Stamp from #CreateASmile Stamps together with a georgeous embossing powder from #Ranger, added some dazzling accents and adheres the vellum with the sentiment.
O.K. the sentiment is extra-special: double-embossed extra thick golden embossing powder!
OMG - in real life it's even more impressive dimensional than here on the flat pictures...!

Translation of the German Sentiment: "Geburtstags Grüße" = "Birthday Wishes".
