Blauer Himmel und Sonnenschein pur - und doch merkt man schon, dass der Herbst naht!
Daher habe ich die Wochenend-Inspiration von Christine in der Facebook Gruppe "Create A Smile -  Family and Friends" für eine erste Herbstkarte genutzt!

Manchmal findet man beim Aufräumen spannende Dinge!
Diesmal kam mir eine unvollendete Karte mit gestanzten Laubblättern aus Leder in die Finder! Warum ich sie damals nicht fertig gemacht hatte, weiß ich nicht... 

Da mir der Material-Mix immer noch gefällt, hab ich sie nun endlich fertig gemacht.
Nun wartet sie auf einen passenden Geburtstag im Herbst...

Aufstellerkarten zu basteln macht Spaß, aber leider vergesse ich oft, diese Möglichkeit "etwas besonderes" zu gestalten zu nutzen...
Als ich kürzlich meine ersten Sets mit den süßen Stempeln von Tracey Hey / Alpaca Pals in Händen hielt, war mir sofort klar, dass ich damit eine interaktive Karte gestalten möchte!

Bis dann schließlich und endlich alles so funktionierte, wie ich es geplant hab, dauerte es eine ganze Weile... der erste Versuch, einen dünnen Strohhalm als Führung für den Nylonfaden zwischen die beiden Lagen des Häschens zu kleben, misslang, da das Nylon in das doch recht leicht brüchige Stroh einschnitt und sich verhakte.
Eine Reihe Rocaille-Perlen war dann der zweite Versuch, der besser funktionierte.
Der Schwerpunkt des Häschens liegt bei der aufgestellten Karte etwas ungünstig - er hing dann immer fast unsichtbar in der Öffnung. Daher hab ich es jetzt so gemacht, dass man ihn ein klein wenig entlang des Nylonfadens verschieben kann und das Ahornblatt so am oberen Rand der Öffnung arretiert. Zum Drehen schiebt man ihn einfach wieder ein kleines Stück tiefer, holt Luft und los geht es!

It took a while until everything worked like I had planned it before... in the first try I used a thin straw to guide the nylon thread between the two layers of paper of the rabbit. But this plan failed, cause the straw was demaged easily and then the thread got caught.
The second try was a row of little Rocaille-pearls and this went better.
When the Easel card is standing, the balance point of the rabbit is a bit difficult and the rabbit is almost unvisible from the front. Now you can move it a little bit up and down to lock or unlock it. To start the spinner, put it down and blow!

Gestern gab es im Süden bei meinen Eltern schon Schnee!
Laut Wetterbericht könnten am Wochenende auch hier in und um Berlin die ersten Flocken fallen... wir werden sehen, was der erste Advent uns bringt!

Passend zum aktuellen Wetter gibt es heute eine ganz kuschelig warme Karte! 
Nach dem Stempeln des Pullis hab ich mit einem metallic Gel-Stift die Ränder einer Maschen-Stencil nachgezogen und dann die Maschen einiger Reihen noch in warmen Gold- und Bronzetönen coloriert - ganz wie im Muster des Pullis.
Auf den drei dunkelgrauen mit stitching-lines gestanzten Kreisen ist die Kälte in Form von glitzernd embossten Schneeflocken zu sehen. Durch den dunkel/hell oder schwarz/weiss-Kontrast grenzen sie sich ganz deutlich von dem Pulli-Kuschel-Bereich der Karte ab.

Yesterday, my parents in South Germany had the first snow!

The weather report told us, also here in and around Berlin there might be the first few snowflakes this weekend... we'll see what the first Advent will bring us!

Fitting to the current weather I can show you a cosy and warm card today!
After I stamped the sweater I traced the edges of a knitting-stencil with a metallic gel pen and coloured some of the loops in warm shades of gold and bronze - like the pattern of the sweater.
On the three dark grey diecut circles with stitching lines I added the cold with some sparkling embossed snowflakes. The contrast of dark/bright or black/white defines a clear scope to the warm sweather-cuddling-area of the card.

Die heutige Karte ist der Grund, warum ich über meine bisherigen Postings der letzten Jahre nachgedacht habe und nun zu diesem Entschluss gelangt bin!

Heute wurde in Milos Kita unsere Erzieherin Katja verabschiedet!
Im Namen der Kinder und Eltern hab ich für sie diese Doppelte Zieh-Karte gemacht (= Auftrag meiner Elternvertreter-Kollegen.)
Wer Katja kennt, weiß auch sofort, warum ich mich bei dem Motiv für Elfen/Feen entschieden habe... dazu in Gedanken das Kindelied "Die Jahresuhr" und das Gefühl, dass die Zeit rennt (immerhin ist Milo nun auch schon seit zwei Jahren in der Kita Felsenblume!)... und schon war die Idee eines Jahres im Leben der Elfen geboren!

This card was the reason, why I started to think about my previous postings during the years and made this decision now!

Today Katja, one of the kindergarten techers of Milos daycare, had her last day and all kids and colleagues celebrated the farewell together. In the name of all kids and parents I made this double slider card for her (by order of my parent-spokesperson colleagues).
Everybody who knows Katja understand immediatelly why I've choosen the theme of fairies... in addition to this, a children song called "die Jahresuhr" (a song about the monthes, the seasons and the annual repetition) and the feeling of running time (Milo is part of this kindergarten for two years now!)... and there was the idea of the year in a fairy life!

Doch der Platz auf einer klassischen A6-Karte war viel zu klein für die geplante Szene! Auch eine normale DIN lang Karte war nicht das Richtige...
Da blieben nur noch wenige Optionen - das größere Kartenformat in Din A5 oder eine Karte mit Elementen zum heraus-klappen oder -schieben.
Ich hab noch nie zuvor eine Doppelte Zieh-Karte gemacht - das war doch jetzt ein guter Anlass, das mal auszuprobieren!

But the area on a usual A6 card was way too small for the scene I had in my mind! Also a DIN long card wasn't enough...
Only some options left - a bigger card size like DIN A5 or a card with unfoldable or movable elements.
I've never made a double slider card before - that seems a great occasion to give it a first try now!

Beginnen wir auf der "klassischen Kartenfront" mit der aktuellen Jahreszeiten Herbst und dem bald folgenden Winter. Wenn man die beiden Flügel herauszieht, kommt rechts (in Leserichtung) erst der Frühling und dann ganz links wieder der Sommer.
Die einzelnen Zeiten haben immer ein Elfen-Zuhause, eine Elfe und einige Details aus der saisonalen Natur. Die Übergänge werden durch kleine Luftwirbel angedeutet.
Für viele von uns gehört zu Feen auch etwas Glitzern und Funkeln dazu - darum hab ich neben den eher schlichten Aquarellfarben da noch einige Akzente gesetzt.

On the "usual cardfront" I placed the real season autumn and the following winter. When you activate the sliders there appears the spring on the right side and then you have to close the seasonal ring with the summer on the left side.
In every little scene there is an fairy home, a fairy and some natural stuff from the season. The crossings I symbolised with little wind-swirls.
For most people fairies and sparkle and glitter belongs together - so I added some coloured accents to the more unsophisticated artist watercolours I used for my colorations.

Für die große Szene hab ich 6 verschiedene Stempelsets von LawnFawn verwendet, dazu noch 4 weitere Sets von Create A Smile und Craft Emotions zur Gestaltung der Innenseite.
Für alles Stempeln, Maskieren, Kolorieren und Zusammenbauen hab ich sicher mindestens 4 oder 5 Stunden gebraucht!
Das war sehr Zeit-intensiv - aber der beste Lohn dafür war die Freude in Katjas Augen und ihr Lächeln! 😍💕

I used 6 different stamp sets from Lawn Fawn for the big scene and in addition 4 more sets from Create A Smile and Craft Emotions for the decoration of the inside.
With all the stamping, masking, colouring and putting everything together the card took me in minimum about 4 or 5 hours!
Was very time consuming - but the best salary was the joy in Katjas eyes and her smile! 😍💕

Meine zweite Karte stammt thematisch direkt von draußen - Herbstfeeling! 
Buntes Laub, fallende und tanzende Blätter...

My second card is thematical direct from outside - fall feeling!
Colourful, falling and dancing leaves...

The German sentiment "Blättertanz" means something like "leaves dance".

This time I used a bit more than the "only one third" (it's more something like 2/5).
But I used a CAS style again. To get a soft coverage of the kraft paper I used Oxide Inks for stamping the trees and leaves, the hills and also the sentiment. 
(Distress Inks wouldn't colour this background colour cause they are Dye Inks)
As embellishment I used just some sequins in fitting coloures to adumbrate a dancing and some fallen leaves.

Über die Karte:
Stempel- und Stencil-freie Karten mach ich ja eher selten... noch dazu ganz ohne Kolorationen noch seltener!
Bei dieser Kürbis-Karte hier ist aber ausnahmsweise mal fast alles gestanzt - das Bild und auch der Text. Um etwas räumliche Tiefe zu bekommen, hab ich Teile des Bildes in einer weiteren Farbe gestanzt und dann alles zusammen gepuzzlet. Die Kürbisse bekamen einen Glimmer-Anstrich mit Wink of Stella und anschließend eine Schicht Glossy Accents für noch etwas mehr räumliche Wirkung. Das Wort "Danke" hab ich zweimal ausgestanzt - einmal in orange und dann in weiß. Beide passgenau aufeinander geklebt und auf der Karte befestigt.
Ich find den Effekt toll! Direkt von vorn betrachtet ist das "Danke" eher unscheinbar, bewegt man den Blickwinkel nur ein wenig, dann sieht man die orangenen Seiten und das Wort bekommt eine Art Schatten!

About this card:
I don't make many cards without stamps or stencils... and without any coloring even less!
But on this pumpkin-card almost everything is die cut - the picture and the sentiment. For some optical dimension I die cut parts of the picture also in a second color and put the parts together then. The pumpkins got a shimmering layer of Wink of Stella and for even more dimension also a coat of Glossy Accents. The word "Danke" = "Thanks" I cut out twice - one orange and one white one, then adhered the white one exactly on top of the orange one and put them on the card.
I love the effect! When you look directly from the front, the word is almost hidden, but when you move your point of view just a little bit, you see the orange edges. The word has a kind of shadow then!

K1-982 - Sturm-Meister

Draußen werden die ersten Blätter bunt... aber irgendwie ist mir noch nicht so ganz nach Herbst... Daher hab ich meine Blätter für diese Karte ganz neutral gehalten: weiß = Vellum und klar = Fensterfolie.
Habt ihr diese beiden Materialien schon mal gestanz oder gepräft? Wenn ja, dann wisst ihr ja, dass das eine ganz andere Optik erzeugt als bei Papier oder Cardstock.

Outside the first leaves change their colors... but I still don't feel ready for fall... So I decided to use neutral leaves for this card: white = Vellum and clear = Acetat.
Have you ever embossed or diecut these materials? If yes, then you know you'll get a totally different look than with paper or cardstock.
