K1-1528 - Fuchsige Überraschung

Ich habe das Thema der aktuellen inkspirational-Challenge #249 erst recht spät entdeckt, aber gerade noch rechtzeitig meine Karte fertig bekommen - ganz kurz vor knapp!
Es ist eine Geburtstagskarte für meinen Sohn, ein Fuchs-Liebhaber, der ein Fuchs-Geschenk bekommt... mehr verrate ich hier noch nicht... nicht, dass die Überraschung zu früh gelüftet wird!

It's a birthday card for my son, a fox lover who will get a foxy present... can't tell you more right now, cause I don't want to risk to lift the surprise too early!

Über die Karte:
Das Herz ist aus weißem Papier ausgestanzt. Mit Hilfe des Mosaik-Gitters hab ich die Bruchstücke dann auf ein Stück Vellum aufgeklebt, anschließend mit Blending Tool eingefärbt und mit Wink of Stella beglittert, dann ausgeschnitten. Das Big&Bold "hugs" ist mit Pulver auf die Cardbase embossed.

About this card:

I diecut the heart out of white cardstock. With the help of the mosaic-grid I placed all pieces on a piece of vellum, colored them with a BlendingTool and a layer of clear Wink of Stella, then fussycut the heart. The Big&Bold "hugy" is heat embossed on the cardbase.

Seit kurzem hab ich das süßes Stempelset von "Neat & Tangled" 'Better Together', das heute eingeweiht wurde.
Passend zur Challenge der "Little Tangles" habe ich hauptsächlich gold & silber verwendet. 

Rccently I owned the cute stamp set 'Better Together' from "Neat & Tangled", which I used the first time today.
Suitable fort he challenge "Little Tangles" I used a lot of gold & silver.

Diese Karte ist eine von zweien, die ich für die "CAS on Sunday Challenge #86 - Black, White & One Color" gemacht habe. 
Am Ende hab ich mich dann aber entschieden die andere Karte einzureichen, einfach, weil sie das Challenge-Thema noch etwas deutlicher darstellt als der Traumfänger. :-) 
Was denkt ihr über meiner Entscheidung?

In the end I entered the challenge with the other one, simple cause it shows the challenge-theme a little bit better than the dreamcatcher. :-)

K1-445 - Sandburgen-Träume

Sonne, Strand & Meer... Was fehlt? Klar - eine Sandburg, verziert mit schönen Muscheln. 

Diesen Traum von einem neuen Eigenheim hab ich schon vor einigen Wochen gebastelt und dann einer Freundin zum Umzug in ihr eigenes Haus geschickt ("My home is my castle"). Ich wollte die Karte nicht online zeigen, ehe sie angekommen war, anschließend hab ich dann völlig vergessen, noch den Blogeintrag dafür zu schreiben.... (beginnender Alzheimer?)

Für den "Sand" hab ich eine selbstgemachte Mischung aus zwei Embossing-Pulvern verwendet, um verschiedene Farb-Nuancen zu erhalten und die Burg etwas plastischer wirken zu lassen.

Anstelle von Pailletten hab ich echte kleine Muschel-Schalen als Verzierung verwendet. Ich glaub die hab ich 2012 an der Ostsee gesammelt. Wiedergefunden hab ich sie in der Schachtel mit Dekorations-Strandgut. Sie wirkten dort etwas verloren, so klein wie sie sind... 

Jetzt weiß ich jedenfalls, warum ich sie so lange aufbewahrt habe. War eine Vorhersehung! :-)

Sun, beach & ocean... What's missing? Sure - a sandcastle, decorated with beautiful shells.

I made this dream of a new private residential building some weeks ago for a friend who moved into her new dwelling ("My home is my castle"). I didn't want to show the card online until she got it, and then I totally forgot that I wanted to write the blogpost...

For the "sand" I used a selfmade mixture of two embossing-powders to get different color-shadings and a more dimensional look of the castle.

Instead of sequins I took real tiny seashells as embellishments. I think I collected them on the shore of the Baltic Sea in 2012. Now I found them again in a box with flotsam and jetsam for decoration. They seemed lonely there beside all the bigger shells, cause they are so tiny...

Now I know why I kept them for such a long time. It was a prevision! :-)

I stamped and embossed the bucket and the shovel a second time and adhered them for a more dimensional look & also cause it was easier to emboss them in black this way....
