K1-1526 - Snoopy Party

In den Tiefen unserer Schränke finden sich ja manchmal richtige kleine Schätze!
Ich bewahre dort mein ältestes* Stempelset auf: ein Set mit Peanut-Figuren! Am linken Rand sieht man sie - rote Rubberstamps aufgeklebt auf einer Art ganz dickem, lila Moosgummi.
   * Ich hab dieses Set in den späten Achtzigern oder frühen Neunzigern gehauft!

Auf besonderen Wunsch hin, hab ich das Set mal wieder herausgekramt und eine ganz individuelle Geburtstagskarte damit gewerkelt.

In the depth of our cabinets there are some hidden treasures!
I store my oldest* stamp set there: a set with characters of the Peanuts! On the left edge you can see them - red rubberstamps mounted on a kind of very thick, purple funfoam.
   * I bought this set in the late eighties or early nineties I think!

By special request I searched out the set once again and made this very individual birthday card.

Die Scene im Detail:
Snoopy liegt noch ganz entspannt, fast schlafend, auf seinem Häuschen, wird gerade von seinem besten  Freund Woodstock geweckt.

Auch wenn Schroeder etwas im Hintergrund steht, spielt er ganz hingebungsvoll schon mal ein Geburtstagsständchen, das ein zentrales Element der Szene ist - dargestellt mit großen, schimmernden Noten in der großen Sprechblase, ganz im Comic-Style. (Und ja, die in den Peanut Comics sind meist rechteckiger!)

Charlie Brown steht ganz links und beobachtet seine Freunde noch abwartend, ist aber sicher sofort bereit zum Gratulieren, wenn Snoopy es ist!
Pig Pen, der kleine Schmutzfink steht ganz ungeduldig mit ein paar Blümchen da und wird von Peppermint Patty (oder wie Marcie immer sagt "Sir") dezent darauf hingewiesen, dass er noch einen Moment warten soll, da Schroder noch musiziert und Snoopy noch nicht mal aufgestanden ist...
Ganz vorne sitzt Linus van Pelt mit seiner Schmusedecke (er ist für mich ein Sinnbild für "das kleine Kind"). Auch er wartet, ähnlich wie Charlie Brown, noch ab, bis die Party richtig losgeht...

K1-1223 - Geburtstags Waschbären

Wenn man Geburtstagskarten auf Vorrat macht, ist man ja leider  immer ein wenig eingeschränkt, was Details anbelangt... 
Ich finde ja personalisierte Karten immer toll - egal ob mit dem Namen vorne drauf oder mit dem Alter bei einer Geburtstagskarte.

Da kam mir die Idee, eine kleine Reihe von schlichten Karten mit kleinen Viechereien zu gestalten und mit einer "Lücke" im Text. In diese kann man dann ganz unkompliziert noch die aktuell benötigte Zahl in Wunschfarbe einfügen!
Ich hab extra hierfür eine kleine Box vorbereitet, in der ich all die Zahlen nun aufbewahre, um sie jederzeit griffbereit zu haben.

Diese Lösung ist perfekt geeignet, wenn eines der Kinder mal wieder überraschend zu einem Geburtstag im Freundeskreis von Kita und Schule eingeladen wird.
Aber auch, wenn man zB auf Märkten* verkauft und nicht ein großes Sortiment an Karten für die unterschiedlichen Altersstufen vorbereiten möchte (die man dann vielleicht gar nicht braucht!) - das würde ja irgendwann auch die Logistik eines Hobby-Bastlers sprengen!
*Kunstmärkte, kleine Events, Weihnachtsmärkten... - vielleicht wird es ja irgendwann wieder möglich sein, dass so was stattfinden kann!

When you create cards for stock, you are always a bit limited in the question of details...
I love personalized cards - with the name on the front layer or with the age on a birthday card.

So I had the idea to create a pile of sober cards with some critters and with a "gap" in the sentiment. Here you can add the needed number in the colour of your choice easily! 

I prepared a little box with all the numbers in it to have them ready to use whenever I need one.

This solution is perfect, when one of the kids gets a sudden invitation from the kindergarden or the class mates.
But also when you sell your cards on markets* and you don't want to prepare lots of cards for the different ages (and don't use them!) - that would go beyond the scope of a hobby-crafters logistic!

*Artist markets, little festivals, christmas markets... - maybe they will be possible one day again...

Ich habe das Thema der aktuellen inkspirational-Challenge #249 erst recht spät entdeckt, aber gerade noch rechtzeitig meine Karte fertig bekommen - ganz kurz vor knapp!
Es ist eine Geburtstagskarte für meinen Sohn, ein Fuchs-Liebhaber, der ein Fuchs-Geschenk bekommt... mehr verrate ich hier noch nicht... nicht, dass die Überraschung zu früh gelüftet wird!

Today I have another card for you with a similar sketch but different supplies - paper, colours, sentiment stamp.

The translation of the German sentiment "Heute bist du der König" is "today you are the king".

Wer kennt sie nicht, die Lumpi-Tiere, die heißgeliebten Stofftiere von Kindern? Als ich diesen "handgenähten Löwen"-Stempel entdeckt hab, stand sofort fest - den muss ich haben!
Denn er ist einfach nur knuffig, oder?

Who doesn't know the cuddle animals, the intensively loved soft toys of kids? When I saw this "hand sew lion" stamp the first time I immediately knew - I need this one!
Cause it's simply cute, isn't it?

The translation of the German sentiment "du bist besonders" is "you are special".

It's a one layer card without any embellisments, one main image and the remaining area is uncluttered. It's quick and easy to recreate... 

The only guideline I skipped a bit is "lots of open space"... I hope 3/3,5 out of 4 points qualify this card to participate... ;-) 

The code word is "tall"... tall is another word for big, isn't it? On a bigger card size, the lion would be small...

K1-1190 - Geburtstags-Roboter

Heute zeig ich euch noch ein Kärtchen, das ich für den dritten Geburtstag von Lemmy (dem süßen Sohn von Nicole) gemacht hab. Mein kleiner Milo (auch drei Jahre alt) mag Roboter derzeit auch sehr gerne, weshalb ich diese drei Robo-Freunde gemacht hab.
Das Tolle an dem Stempel-Set ist, dass man die Roboter immer wieder neu gestalten kann, da es lauter einzelne Bauteil-Stempel sind.

Today I show you a birthday card I made fot the 3rd birthday of Lemmy (the cute little son of Nicole). My little son Milo (also three years old) loves robots right now so I've created this image with three robo-friends.
I love this stamp-set cause you have lots of single element-stamps and you can create your robots on your own every time.

I just recognized Virginia Lu started a new project on her Blog to spread creativity and happiness!

It's called "Show & Share"!

(First I was busy with the new Uniko-Birthday Release and then I was sick for almost two weeks, so I missed the first month!)

On every 9th of a mont she will open a special gallery for all of us to show what we are working on. There is no Challenge, no need to use special supplies or techniques, just the option to present your crafty work! Isn't that cool?!

Karten für Kindergeburtstage sind ja oft recht leicht zu gestalten: bunt und fröhlich sind die Haupt-Zutaten, dazu vielleicht noch etwas mit Bewegung und der Empfänger ist glücklich!

Bei Karten für Kleinkinder wird's da schon schwieriger... Keine Kleinteile, die abfallen könnten (Gefahr von Verschlucken). Nichts, was zu leicht zerpflückt werden kann. ...

Cards for kids are easy: colorful and funny are the most important ingredients. Some kind of movement or action and the recipient is happy!

Cards for toddlers are a bit more difficult... No small pieces which could fall off (choking hazard). Nothing delicate that could be damaged to easy. ...

Daher hab ich meine Geburtstagskarte für den gerade zwei Jahre alt gewordenen Jannis "flach" gehalten, ohne weitere Verzierungen.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus buntem Splatter-"Konfetti".

Die Waldtier-Freunde sind mit Copics koloriert und dann von Hand ausgeschnitten und flächig aufgeklebt (ohne 3D pads).

Ein blaues Papier rahmt den bunt gestalteten Vordergrund gegen die weiße Kartenbasis.

So I made a flat birthday card for Jannis who turned two last week, without any embellishments.

The background is made with colorful splatter-confetti.

The forest animal friends are coloured with Copics then fussycut out and adheres flat (without dimensional pads).

A blue paper frames the colourful layer against the white cardbase.

Wenn man ein Pferd mit einem Esel kreuzt, ergibt das entweder ein Muli = Maultier (→ Pferdestute & Eselhengst) oder einen Maulesel (→ Eselstute & Pferdehengst) - je nachdem, wer von beiden das Vater- und wer das Muttertier ist...
Doch was passiert, wenn man eine Kreuzung von zwei Fabelwesen versucht? Zum Beispiel ein Monster mit einem Einhorn kombiniert? Mein erster Versuch brachte dieses freundliche Zweihorn-Monster hervor: eine Figur wie sein Vater und dazu die Schönheit seiner Mutter... 😉😍

When you hybridize a horse and a donkey you'll get a mule (→ horse mare & donkey stallion) or a hinny (→ donkey mare & horse stallion) - dependent on who is mom and who is dad...
But what happens if you combine two mythical creatures? For example a monster and an unicorn? My first try resulted in this friendly doublecorn-monster: a shape like its Dad and the beauty of its Mom... 😉😍

Translation of the sentiment: "Wir wünschen Dir einen monstermäßigen Geburtstag" = "We wish you a monstrously (big and fantastic!) birthday". A "Monsterchen" is a little monster.

Über die Karte:
Für den besonderen Glanz-Effekt hab ich den Digi-Stamp auf Photopapier ausgedruckt. Anschließend mit Copics coloriert (das  funktioniert... wenn auch das Blending etwas mühsamer ist und man immer aufpassen muss, dass es keine "Farbnasen" gibt - da die Farben hier ultra-schnell trocknen!) und anschließend von Hand ausgeschnitten.
Den Hintergrund hab ich mit Distress Inks und Wasser eher schlicht gestaltet. Nach dem Zusammensertzen der Karte hat das Monster noch einige Glossy Akzente bekommen.
Da sie für einen ersten Geburtstag sein soll, hab ich auf weitere kleinteilige Verzierungen verzichtet!

For the special glossy-effect I used photopaper to print out the Digi-Stamp. Then I colored it with Copic Markers (it works... but the blending is definitly harder to do and you need to avoid color-marks when you lift the marker up - the colors dry really quickly!) and fussyfut it out.
The background is made with Distress Inks and Water it's quite simple. After combining the elements I put some Glossy Accents on the monster.
The card is for a first birthday kid - so I avoided tiny embellishment-pieces!

Über die Karte:

Hier glitzert's überall:

• Das Monster hat hellgrüne Stickles-Punkte.
• Es ist mit Wink of Stella Clear Brush beglittert.
• Die Hörner und die Zunge sind mit Glossy Accents überzogen.
• Die Augen sind mit weißem und schwarzten Enamel Accents gemacht und nachträglich aufgeklebt (ich hab leider keine anderen kleinen nicht-glitzrigen Fläschen hier... darum leider nur klassische schwarz-weiße Augen).
• Die HG-Sterne im unteren Teil der Karte sind mit einer fein schimmernden Embossingpaste gemacht.
• Die HG-Sterne oben bestehen aus einem transparenten Embossingpulver mit silbernen Glitter-Partikeln.

About this card:

On this card everything is sparkling:

• The monster has light green stickles-points.
• It is covered with Wink of Stella Clear Brush.
• The horns and the tongueare covered with Glossy Accents.
• The eyes were made seperately with white and black Enamel Accents and were adhered later (I have no other non-glittering little bottles here... so I made these classical black'n'white eyes).
• The BG-stars in the lower part of the card are made of an embossing paste with a fine shimmer.
• The BG-stars above are made with a translucent and silver sparkling Embossing Powder.

Ich mag ja -vor allem für Kinderkarten- deutsche Textstempel sehr gerne! Und bei kleinen Kindern ist zum Geburtstag der "Heute kann es regnen, stürmen oder schnei'n..."-Stempel (ja, genau wie in dem Geburtstagslied von Rolf Zuckowski!) aus dem Set "Ausflippen" von "Create A Smile" immer toll.
Ich hab auf der Innenseite der Karte den Text noch weitergeführt - zum Teil von Hand geschrieben, zum Teil mit Alpha-Stickern aufgeklebt.

I love german sentiment-stamps - especially for Kids-cards! And for little kids birthdays I prefer a stamp out of the Set "Ausflippen" from "Create A Smile". It's the first line of a well-known birthday-song from a kids song-writer.
On the inside of the card I continued the sentiment with the second line of the song in hand-lettering and with Alpha-Stickers.
