K1-1427 - Joyeux Noel / Uniko Challenge #62 Reminder

Heute hab ich eine edle Weihnachtskarte in einem sehr klassischen Stil für euch.

Die Farben sind Rot und Gold, es gibt etwas Glitzer, ein klares Design mit einigen kleinen, frechen, goldenen Punkten und einem starken Symbol.

Da ich bisher auch noch nicht alle Bedeutungen kannte, hab ich noch mal etwas nachgeforscht und dabei Folgendes über die heraldische Lilie (= Fleur de Lis) gefunden:

Wenn man diese Blüte verschenkt, ist es ein Zeichen für Hochachtung und Zuneigung für den Beschenkten.

Sie kann aber auch als Symbol für die Liebe in Gott stehen und dadurch den eigenen Glauben wiederspiegeln. 

Ich denke, egal welche der beiden Bedeutungen man selbst favorisiert - es ist eine schöne Geste, gerade jetzt zur Weihnachtszeit, jemanden damit zu beehre!

Für diejenigen, die kein Französisch sprechen: 

"Joyeux Noël" heißt Frohe Weihnachten.

  

Today I show you a classy christmas card in a very classical style.

The colors are red and gold, there is some sparkle, a clear design with only some little cheeky golden dots and a mighty symbol.

I didn't knew much about this symbol, so I did an online search about the heraldic lilly = Fleur de Lis and found this:

When you gift this fleur, it is a mark of respect and affection for the presentee. 

But it can also symbolise the love in god and shows the own faith. 

I think, it doesn't really matter, which of these meanings you favour - it's a beautiful gesture to favour someone with it - especially right now for Christmas!

The translation of the French "Joyeux Noël" is "Merry Christmas".

Zuerst war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich es hinbekomme, etwas in dem eleganten und klassischen Stil zu basteln, den Kristina Werner am Tag 3 der neuen Online Card Classes - "Holiday Style" gezeigt hat.
Also Kranz-Stempel ausgewählt und losgelegt - und plötzlich war's dann doch einfacher als gedacht! 
Den Hintergrund hab ich mit dem Blending Tool und Distress Inks in antique linen, scattered straw and vintage photo gestaltet.
Ich weiß, Kristina hat in ihrer Karte nur Gold- und Braun-/Grautöne verwendet, aber die Idee, die Beeren rot und nicht golden zu machen gefiel mir viel besser. Ich hab sie also in der gedeckten Farbe von "Distress Stain - antique bronze" coloriert - aber das wirkte viel zu fad... daher hab ich mal mehr, mal weniger "Distress Ink - fired brick" zugemischt und die Beeren in unterschiedlichen schimmernden Rot-Nuancen coloriert um optisch etwas Dimension zu erzeugen. Als alles trocken war, sah es schon mal soweit gut aus, aber irgendwie fehlte mir immer noch was... X-mas red Stickels war dann meine Lösung! Ich hab es nur ganz sparsam auf einigen Beeren eingesetzt. Ich war zufrieden! :-)
Aber jetzt noch ein goldener Schriftzug? Hmmm ... die Karte, die vor mir lag, verlangte nach etwas anderem!
Um eine Balance zu erhalten, hab ich den französischen Schriftzug "Noel" vier mal in rot ausgestanzt, zusammengeklebt und anschließend auch erst mit den roten Stickles überzogen, anschließend noch mit einer Schicht Glossy Accents.
Auf diese Weise verwende ich Stickles fast immer! Es glitzert viel viel mehr, wenn man am Ende noch einen glänzenden Abschluß drangibt. - Versucht's auch mal! Die Stickles müssen übrigens nicht trocken sein, ehe man das Glossy Accents aufträgt - das spart Zeit!

First I wasn't sure if I can create something in the elegant and vintage style Kristina Werner used on her card on Day 3 of the new Online Card Classes - "Holiday Style".
Then I took this wreath-stamp and everything was easy! 
For the background I used Distress Inks in antique linen, scattered straw and vintage photo with my blending tool.
I know, Kristina only used shades of gold and brown/gray on her card, but I liked the idea of red berries in the wreath more than golden ones. So I took my muted "Distress Stain - antique bronze", but it was too pale... mixed less or more "Distress Ink - fired brick" to the bronze and colored the berries for a more dimensional look in different shimmering nuances of red. After everything was dry, it looked ok, but a bit too plain... so I used red Stickels, only on some of them. I was pleased! :-)
But a golden sentiment? Hmmm... the card laying in front of me asked for an other solution!
To balance it out, I decided to die-cut the french word Noel four times, stick them all together and covered it with the same Stickles-color first and later with Glossy Accents.
This is how I use Stickles most of the time! It's sparkling more and more when there is a glossy finish - try it out! By the way, the stickles needn't be dry when you add the Glossy Accents - that's really time-saving.

K1-501 - Snowflake for Christmas (Noël)

Während wir auf dem Weg nach Bayern waren, wo wir eine Woche Familienurlaub auf dem Bauernhof verbringen wollten, startete bei Create A Smile Stamps die Release des neuen Snow Dance Kits! Und da ich das sehr, sehr gerne auch haben wollte, kämpfte ich also von der Autobahn A9 aus über's Mobiltelefon mit denkbar schlechter Netz-Anbindung darum, die Bestellung hinzubekommen. Und ja - es hat dann schließlich und endlich doch noch geklappt! :-)
So gab es am Ende des Urlaubs auf jeden Fall einen guten Grund, wieder nach hause kommen zu wollen. ;-)
Ihr dürft euch also schon mal auf einige Karten mit dem tollen Material aus dem neuen Kit einstellen!

We went to Bavaria for one week of farm holidays with the whole family. While we were on the way, the release of the new Snow Dance Kit of Create a Smile Stamps started! I really wanted to get one of these Kit puches! So I was fighting with my mobile phone against a bad web-connection on the Autobahn A9 (a German highway) to get the order placed. And yes - finally I got it! :-)
Now I had a good reason to come back home after one week. ;-)
