Ich hab für die Online Card Class - "Crushing on Cardstock" zum Video von Cathy Zielske am Tag 1 gleich mehrere Karten mit Embossing Foldern gestaltet.
Hier kommt die letzte Embossing Folder Karte!

Das Besondere dieser Karte ist das Papier, das ich geprägt habe. Mein ältester Sohn Paul hat es vergangenes Jahr selbst hergestellt und es mir dann zu Weihnachten geschenkt.
Ich verwende es immer sehr sparsam, da es etwas so besonderes ist! 💓

I made several cards with embossing folders for the Online Card Class - Crushing on Cardstock" after I saw the video from Cathy Zielske on Day1.
This one is the last one I made for the OCC with an Embossing Folder! 

The very special thing on this card is the paper I used to emboss. My biggest son Paul made it last year and gave it to me last christmas. 

I always use it economical, cause it's something very special. 💓

Sommer, Sonne, Urlaubs-Sehnsucht...
Mein großer Sohn Paul geht bald für einige Tage mit meiner Mutter zum Segeln aufs "schwäbische Meer" = Bodensee.
Seine Vorfreude hat mich zu diesem Kärtchen inspiriert.

Summer, sun and yearning for vacations...
My biggest son Paul will go sailing on the "swabian sea" = Lake Constance (one of the biggest lakes of Germany, it's located between Germany, Austria and Switzerland) for some days together with my mom soon.
His pleasant anticipation was the inspiration for this card.
Translation of the sentiment: "Bis bald" = "See (or sea?) you soon".

Über diese Karte:
Zuerst habe ich die Wellen mit einem Border-Embossuing-Folder geprägt und sie anschließend mit dem Blending-Tool und DistressInks im Ombré-Stil eingefärbt. Der Glitzer-Streifen an der Wasser-Oberfläche entstand aus Doppelklebeband und Glitzer-Embossing-Pulver - nach einer Technik, die Jennifer McGuire in der OCC gezeigt hatte.
About this card:
First I embossed the waves with a border-embossing-folder and then I blended it with DistressInks in ombré-style. The glitter-line on the top of the waves I created with double-sided adhesive tape and sparkling embossing powder - used a technique Jennifer McGuire has demonstrated in the OCC.

Hintergründe mit Schablonen zu gestalten macht so viel Spaß!
Diesmal hab ich für die Wellen einen nach oben hin heller werdenden Farbverlauf verwendet.
Das "alte Papier" hab ich gleich dreimal auf der Karte verwendet: in der Flasche, als Hintergrund für den Spruch und im Inneren der Karte. So entsteht der Eindruck, die Nachricht in der Karte wäre zuvor in der Flasche gewesen...

Creating backgrounds with stencils is so much fun!
This time I used an ombre-color-effect for the waves.
The distressed paper-look I used three times on this card: in the bottle, as background for the sentiment and also in the inside of the card. - So it feels like the message inside is the one out of the bottle...

Translation of the sentiment "Post für dich" = "Happy Mail" or "You get mail".

Ideen zur Karte:
Ich habe eine Schüttel-Karte gemacht... ohne viele Schaker-Elemente - nur, um die Papierrolle in der Flasche beweglich zu machen.
Dazu hab ich die Flasche zweimal auf Vellum gestempelt, sie ausgeschnitten und dann die in sehr feine Streifen geschnittenen schwarzen 3D-Pads angebracht, Papierrolle dazwischengelegt und alles zusammengefügt.
Dann das Wasser geteilt (ja, ich kann so was auch *grins*) und die Flasche "versenkt".

Ideas behind the card:
I created a kind of shaker on this card... without lots of shaker-stuff - only to move the paper-roll inside the bottle. 
So I stamped the bottle two times on vellum, cut them out, adhered really fine stripes of black 3D-pads, placed the colored paper-roll in between and put all together.
Then I divided the water (yeah, I did it *smile*) and put the bottle "into" the water.

Haven't used them often by now, but I love the bunch of possibilities you get with them!

2016_06-14 - Nachtrag:

Ich hatte wohl übersehen, dass in den Challenge-Regeln explizit nach einer Erklärung gefragt war, was denn das "Favorite" bei der gezeigten Karte genau ist.

Hmmm... jetzt hab ich das "Problem", dass ich kein "Lieblings"mensch bin! Ich habe weder ein absolutes Lieblings-Essen, noch ein Lieblings-Stempelset und schon gar keine Lieblings-Bastel-Technik oder Lieblings-Farb-Kombination. (Eine einzige Ausnahme fällt mir da ein: ich spiele Brettspiele, wann immer möglich mit gelben Spielsteinen = Lieblings-Spielfarbe.) 

Ich kann mich für so viele Dinge begeistern - Farben, Techniken, Themen... und bei Stempeln verwende ich die, die am besten zu meinem aktuellen (meist spontan entstehenden) Projekt passen. Ich habe Firmen, die ich sehr sehr gerne mag und daher oft verwende (z.B. auch Create A Smile), aber ich kann da kein Lieblings-Stempelset nennen. Alle Sets, die ich besitze hab ich, weil ich sie toll fand & finde. Eventuell gibt es in den einzelnen Sets Stempel, die ich mehr oder weniger gerne mag - aber auch das schwankt bei mir je nach Laune. 

Daher kann ich mich jetzt nur nachträglich noch dafür entschuldigen, wenn ich diese wichtige Challenge-Regel missachtet habe.

K1-608 - Unter Wasser

Heute schummel ich mal ein kleines Bisschen... Ich tu mal so, als wären da gaaaanz viele Fische, obwohl's nur einer ist.
Und dann schummel ich noch etwas weiter... die vielen Schummel-Fische sind nämlich mein "kleines Wunder" für die Projekt Cupcake-Challenge.  Mir fiel dazu nur "Nachwuchs" ein... und daher hat der Fisch auch ganz viele kleine Pailetten-Babies bekommen... und da sagt man doch erst mal "Hallo" (oder eben "Hallöchen") zu den Kleinen, oder? ;-)

Today I'm cheating a little bit... I show you many many fishes... although there is only one.
And then I'm going on with the cheating... all these cheat-fishes are my "little wonder" for the current Challenge at Projekt Cupcake. The only idea I got fot this theme was "Babies"... and cause of this, the fish got lots of little sequins-babies... and what do you say to these little guys? Sure "Hello" ("Hallöchen" is a colloquial downsizing of Hello)!

Ich hab schon wieder mit Farben herum-experimentiert...
Diesmal hab ich einen Embossingfolder mit Aquarellfarben eingepinselt, ihn dann noch mit einem Mini-Mister gewässert und dann damit ein ebenfalls angefeuchtetes Aquarellpapier geprägt. Um die Farbverläufe noch etwas zu verstärken, hab ich anschließend das Papier nochmals mit dem Mini-Mister eingesprüht.
Als alles getrocknet war wurde das Aquarellpapier passend für die Karten-Basis in Form gerissen, einen Streifen Vellum mit dem Glückwunsch-Text embossed und alles zusammen mit einigen Pailletten arrangiert und aufgeklebt.

I did it again... I experimented with colors...
This time I brushed watercolors into an embossuing-folder, sprayed some water with a Mini-Mister on it and embossed some (also wet) watercolor-paper. To get the colors blend a bit more I sprayed it once more with water.
When everything was dried, I ripped the paper into the correct size, embossed a strip of vellum with the sentiment and arranged everything together with some sequins and glued the parts together.

Der Hintergrund dieser Karte entstand während der letzten Online Card Class "Background Check" nach einer Idee von Kristina Werner von Tag 5. 

Jetzt verarbeite ich nach und nach all die Hintergründe zu Karten...

Now I find time to make cards out of them bit by bit...

Um diesen farbenprächtigen Hintergrund fast die volle Aufmerksamkeit zu geben, hab ich den Gruß in weiß auf Pergamentpapier embossed und dann nur noch einige kleine Glanzpunkte mit klaren Pailletten gesetzt.

To spend nearly the whole attention on this colorful background I heat embossed the sentiment in white on vellum and only put some sparkling points with clear sequins.

Manchmal ist es einfach an der Zeit, jemandem zu danken. Mit Blumen, mit einem Kärtchen oder ganz galant mit beidem zugleich!

Sometimes it's time to say "Thanks" to someone (Thanks = Danke in german). With flowers, with a card or more sparkish with both combined together!

Auf saugfähigen Papieren lassen sich die Stabilo-Marker wunderbar mit Wasser vermalen, ohne dass die Leuchtkraft der Farben verloren geht. Auf anderen Papieren funktioniert das nicht unbedingt immer ganz so gut - hier hilft nur (wie bei allen anderen Markern auch) ausprobieren, wie die Stiftte mit verschiedenen Papieren reagieren!
Durch die starke Strichstärke des Text-Stempels konnte ich das Vellum problemlos (und unsichtbar!) mit Mini-3D-Pads auf das darunter liegende Papier kleben.

By using an absorbent paper, the Stabilo-Markers blend great when reactiong with water, without loosing the brilliancy of their colors. This technique doesn't work with every paper - there is only one way to figure out, what will happen with different kind of paper - try it out (like you should do with other markers too)!
Cause of the bold sentiment-stamp I was able to adhere the vellum without any problems  (and unvisible!)on the layer beneath with mini-3D-pads.
