Manchmal trudelt ein Material hier bei mir ein, das regelrecht danach schreit, verbastelt zu werden!
Ich bewahre sie bis zur Verwendung in einer (inzwischen mal wieder viel zu vollen) kleinen Kiste auf... Wehe, einer kommt auf die Idee, davon etwas weg werfen zu wollen! Das sind alles Stücke mit einer kleinen Geschichte!

Oft sind es besondere Papiere oder Folien mit tollen Mustern oder Strukturen oder auch mal, wie in diesem Fall, ein einfaches Stück WashiTape!
Diese Materialien ergeben tolle Brennpunkte, da man sie oft nur in kleiner Menge zur Verfügung hat und daher sehr gezielt verwendet!

Ich liebe es, Karten um ein besonderes Stück, Thema oder Bild (auch gestempelte) herum zu basteln!
Bin nur ich so ein Nerd oder geht's euch genauso?

Sometimes a special material appears and it's yelling to be used!
I store them in a (in the meantime very good filled) little box... 
Woe betide the one who asks me to throw something out of this box away! These are all pieces with a little individual story behind the scene!

Often it's a special piece of paper or foil with a beautiful pattern or texture or, like in this case, a simple piece of WashiTape!
These materials are amazing focal points cause you often have only scraps or a small amount of them and so you use them advisedly! 

I love this - to create a card around a special piece, theme or picture (also stamped ones stamped)!
Hope I'm not the only nerd! Are you the same?

Ich hab für die Online Card Class - "Crushing on Cardstock" zum Video von Cathy Zielske am Tag 1 mehrere Karten mit Embossing Foldern gestaltet.
Für die Karte Nummer drei habe ich den selben Embossing Folder nochmal verwendet - mit völlig anderem Ergebnis!

For this card number three I used the same Embossing Folder as for the second one, but with a totally different result!

The translation of the German sentiment on the front "Ups - zu spät" = "Oups - too late" and on the inside "Alles Gute - nachträglich" = "best wishes - subsequently".

This one is number two!

It's a bithday cad with some parts of sentiments.

The German sentiment "Potzblitz!" is a shout out to show astonishment, surprise and amazement. Think you can translate it with something like "what a surprise!" "Omg!"
"Wie die Zeit vergeht" = "How time goes by".
And on the inside "Schon wieder ein Jahr vorbei" = "One more year passed".

"Du bist einfach unglaublich toll" ist die Übersetzung des englischen Textes.

Über die Karte:
Ich bin bisher nicht besonders geübt mit "Lift-off-Techniken". Da sie aber diesen Monat das Thema bei der neuen CAS Stencil Challenge sind, hab ich mich mal wieder damit versucht...
Zuerst hab ich einen Hintergrund in kräftigen Regenbogen-Farben mit Oxide Inks gewischt und anschließend über die Stencil einen Teil der Farbe mit Wasser wieder entfernt.
Als Kontrast zu den Oxide Farben hab ich meine sonstige Gestaltung, den gestempelten und den gestanzten Text, die kleinen Sterne und auch die Enamel Dots zwischen den farbigen Deko-Elementen in schlichtem Schwarz gehalten (Fragt bitte nicht, was das für Teile sind - ich weiß es nicht! Es sind keine Pailletten und keine Edelsteinchen... irgendwas mit einem Metalleffekt-Lack...)
Im Inneren der Karte hab ich das äußere Design mit einem seitlichen Streifen Regenbogen-Papier fortgesetzt (ähnlich dem am rechtten Kartenrand).

About this card:
I'm not really familiar with the different "lift-off-techniques". But they are the theme of the new CAS Stencil Challenge, so I gave them one more try...
At the beginning I blended the background with some colourful Oxide Inks in rainbow order. Then I removed some of the colour with warter and the use of a stencil.
To create a contrast to the Oxide Inks I used only black elements - the stamped and die-cut sentiment parts, the little stars and also the Enamel Dots between the embellishment pieces (Don't aks me, what it is! They are no sequins and no rhinestones - it's something with metallic effect colours...)
The design of the outside is repeated on the inside with a small strip of rainbow colour paper (similar to the one on the right side).

* an inked stencil pattern - ok, it's more de-inked than inked, but I used a stencil and ink to create the background

* a trio of small embellishments - ok, I havn't used three of a kind, but I used three different embellishments! → little stars, little colourful metallic-pieces, little black eneamel dots

I think I also used the Optional Twist Friends, cause you say "You are simply amazing" only to someone special - a good friend!

Dass die Distress Oxide Inks sich nicht nur wunderbar verblenden lassen, sondern dazu auch noch auf farbigen Untergründen um die Wette leuchten, macht sie mir immer sympatischer!
Hier hab ich sie in Regenbogenfarben durch eine Alphabet-Stencil von Tim Holtz auf schwarzem Papier aufgetragen. 
Wow! Sogar mein Mann war von den Farben begeistert, als ich ihm den Hintergrund gezeigt hab!

The Distress Oxide Inks are easy to blend - also on coloured papers and then they still shine bright - that's a large plus!
Here I used rainbow colours, a alphabet stencil from Tim Holtz and black cardstock.
Wow! Even my hubby was fascinated from these colours when I showed him the background paper!

K1-866 - Perlenstern mit Weihnachtsgruß

Kristina Werner hat am Tag 5 der Online Card Class - Merry Making eine wunderschöne Stencil verwendet und das Muster mit Clean Color Real Brushes coloriert.
Leider hab ich keine Stencil im Mandala-Stil... Aber ich hab eine Tochter, die gerne bastelt und vergangene Woche einen perfekten kleinen Stern aus Bügelperlen gemacht!
Die Mini Bubbles Stencil von Tim Holtz mit ihren etwas unregelmäßigen Punkten ist wie gemacht für das Abbild der Bügelperlen - die schmelzen auch nicht immer 100% perfekt.
Im zweiten Anlauf sah der Stern dann so aus, wie ich ihn haben wollte (der erste hatte leider einen kleinen Wasserschaden). Die weißen Perlen hab ich durch sehr helles Gelb und Blau ersetzt um sie sichtbar zu machen.
Zusammen mit einigen Pailletten und einem passenden Text-Banner und ist nun diese farbenfrohe Weihnachtskarte entstanden.

On day 5 of the Online Card Class - Merry Making Kristina Werner used an awesome stencil and colored it with Clean Color Real Brushes.

Sadly I havn't stencils with mandala-style... But I have a crafty daughter and last week she made a perfect little star out of ironing-beads (you place them on a board and heat the finished image with an iron until they melt a little bit and glue together)! The mini-bubbles stencil from Tim Holtz has uneven dots and they look like these uneven melted perls.

My second try I got it and created this star (the first one had a water-problem). To make them visible I changed the color of the white beads into light yellow and light blue.

I combiened it with some sequins and a fitting sentiment-banner to get this colorful christmas-card.

Translation of "Weihnachtsgruß" = "Christmas greetings".

Wer hat gesagt, dass LED-Karten immer dick und klobig sein müssen?
Meine allerneuste LED-Karte misst in ihrer Dicke nur 0,25 cm! Und sie hat einen Schalter! Der verhindert zum einen, dass sie bereits auf dem Postweg bei Druck von außen das Umschlaginnere erleuchtet und dann mit fast leerer Batterie ankommt und erspart einem zudem auch noch das leidige "hier dauerhaft feste drücken", wenn man die LEDs leuchten sehen will! Sie leuchtet dann ohne jede Berührung und lassen sich auch wieder ausschalten.
Klingt das perfekt? Ich finde schon... 😃

Who said, LED-cards need to be thick and bold?
My very latest LED-card is only 0,25 cm thick! And it has a switch! This switch prevent the illumination of the inside of the envelope during the mail-transport and empty batteries when the card arrives and you needn't the "press here strong" when you want to enlight the LEDs! They glow without any touch and you can switch them off again.
Sound perfect? I think so... 😃

Auch für die Karte hab ich in meine Schatzkiste gegriffen... Die beiden Stencil-Hintergründe sind kürzlich bei der "Online Card Classes - Sparkle and Shine" entstanden.
Vielleicht sollte ich mir die Karte selbst schicken?! Reif für die Insel & einige Tage Erholung wär ich allemal! - Bei meinem kleinen Milo (jetzt fast 10 Monate alt) ist seit gestern der erste Zahn zu fühlen - hat ihn (und mich) ziemlich geplagt, bis er endlich da war! :-/

For this card I grabbed into my treasure-box again... Recently I made these two stencil-backgrounds for the "Online Card Classes - Sparkle & Shine".
Maybe I should send me this card myself?! I'm feeling like I'm ready for a few days of recovery and holiday! - The first tooth in the jaw of my little son Milo (nearly 10 monthes now) is noticeable now - were some hard days for him (and me)! :-/
