Wer kennt sie nicht, die Lumpi-Tiere, die heißgeliebten Stofftiere von Kindern? Als ich diesen "handgenähten Löwen"-Stempel entdeckt hab, stand sofort fest - den muss ich haben!
Denn er ist einfach nur knuffig, oder?

Who doesn't know the cuddle animals, the intensively loved soft toys of kids? When I saw this "hand sew lion" stamp the first time I immediately knew - I need this one!
Cause it's simply cute, isn't it?

Der Löwe ist mit schwarzer VersaFine Tinte gestempelt und dann mit Stabilo Markern koloriert. Der Text und der Tatzenabdruck sind in schwarz embossed.

I stamped the lion with black VersaFine ink and coloured it with Stabilo markers. The sentiment and the pawprint are heat embossed in black.

Bei der letzten Online Card Class (simply Watercolor) zeigte Kristina Werner, dass man das altbewährte Durchpausen auch beim Karten basteln verwenden kann.
Ich wollte gerne einen Digistamp auf einer One Layer Karte verwenden. Da sich Cardstock in meinem Drucker nicht immer ganz so verhält, wich ich das gerne hätte, hab ich diese Methode jetzt hier einmal ausprobiert. Und siehe da: Es hat wunderbar geklappt! Diesmal gibt's also mal einen Digistamp ohne viel FussyCutting!
Gemacht ist die Karte zur Aufmunterung und Motivation eines Schülers... Lernen im Schlaf, wie die Katze es macht, wird vielleicht nicht ganz ausreichen - aber etwas innere Ruhe hat gewiss noch keinem geschadet!

In the last Online Card Class (simply Watercolor) Kristina Werner showed how to combine the old fashioned tracing lines technique with card making.
I planned to create a One Layer Card with a digistamp on it. My printer sometimes makes funny things when I try to print on cardstock so I thought I'll give this technique a try with the digistamp. It worked great! This time I used a digistamp without lots of FussyCutting!
I made this card to encourage and motivate a student... Lerning while you are sleeping, like the cat, won't be enough I think - but some inner peace will help anyway!

Über die Karte:

Schritt-für-Schritt: Digistamp ausdrucken. Rückseite mit einem weichen Bleistift deckend schraffieren. Das Paper mit der Schraffur nach unten auf der Kartenfront ausrichten und fixieren. Jetzt alle Linien, die man übertragen möchte mit wenig Druck und einem nicht zu spitzen Bleistift auf dem Ausdruck nachfahren - das Graphit wird an diesen Stellen auf die Karte übertragen.
Man kann das Bild nun entweder als "No Line Coloring" kolorieren oder aber man fährt sie Linien nochmal mit einem feinen, wasserfesten Marker nach (wegen der Tendenz zum Durchdrücken eignen sich ja Alkoholmarker nur bedingt gut für One Layer Karten, daher muss der Marker nicht auch alkoholfest sein).

About this card:

Step-by-step: Print the digistamp. Cover the backside of the printed image by hatching it with a soft pencil. Position and fix the image on your cardbase and trace all the lines you see with a not totally sharpened pencil - the graphite will be transfered from the backside onto your card.
Now you can choose to craft with "No Line coloring" or if you wanna trace the pale graphite lines again with a thin waterresistant marker (it needn't be a alcohol-ink-resistant marker, cause Copics like to soak and bleed into papers and are not the best solution for OLCs).

Karten für Kindergeburtstage sind ja oft recht leicht zu gestalten: bunt und fröhlich sind die Haupt-Zutaten, dazu vielleicht noch etwas mit Bewegung und der Empfänger ist glücklich!

Bei Karten für Kleinkinder wird's da schon schwieriger... Keine Kleinteile, die abfallen könnten (Gefahr von Verschlucken). Nichts, was zu leicht zerpflückt werden kann. ...

Cards for kids are easy: colorful and funny are the most important ingredients. Some kind of movement or action and the recipient is happy!

Cards for toddlers are a bit more difficult... No small pieces which could fall off (choking hazard). Nothing delicate that could be damaged to easy. ...

Daher hab ich meine Geburtstagskarte für den gerade zwei Jahre alt gewordenen Jannis "flach" gehalten, ohne weitere Verzierungen.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus buntem Splatter-"Konfetti".

Die Waldtier-Freunde sind mit Copics koloriert und dann von Hand ausgeschnitten und flächig aufgeklebt (ohne 3D pads).

Ein blaues Papier rahmt den bunt gestalteten Vordergrund gegen die weiße Kartenbasis.

So I made a flat birthday card for Jannis who turned two last week, without any embellishments.

The background is made with colorful splatter-confetti.

The forest animal friends are coloured with Copics then fussycut out and adheres flat (without dimensional pads).

A blue paper frames the colourful layer against the white cardbase.

K1-866 - Perlenstern mit Weihnachtsgruß

Kristina Werner hat am Tag 5 der Online Card Class - Merry Making eine wunderschöne Stencil verwendet und das Muster mit Clean Color Real Brushes coloriert.
Leider hab ich keine Stencil im Mandala-Stil... Aber ich hab eine Tochter, die gerne bastelt und vergangene Woche einen perfekten kleinen Stern aus Bügelperlen gemacht!
Die Mini Bubbles Stencil von Tim Holtz mit ihren etwas unregelmäßigen Punkten ist wie gemacht für das Abbild der Bügelperlen - die schmelzen auch nicht immer 100% perfekt.
Im zweiten Anlauf sah der Stern dann so aus, wie ich ihn haben wollte (der erste hatte leider einen kleinen Wasserschaden). Die weißen Perlen hab ich durch sehr helles Gelb und Blau ersetzt um sie sichtbar zu machen.
Zusammen mit einigen Pailletten und einem passenden Text-Banner und ist nun diese farbenfrohe Weihnachtskarte entstanden.

On day 5 of the Online Card Class - Merry Making Kristina Werner used an awesome stencil and colored it with Clean Color Real Brushes.

Sadly I havn't stencils with mandala-style... But I have a crafty daughter and last week she made a perfect little star out of ironing-beads (you place them on a board and heat the finished image with an iron until they melt a little bit and glue together)! The mini-bubbles stencil from Tim Holtz has uneven dots and they look like these uneven melted perls.

My second try I got it and created this star (the first one had a water-problem). To make them visible I changed the color of the white beads into light yellow and light blue.

I combiened it with some sequins and a fitting sentiment-banner to get this colorful christmas-card.

Ich bin immer mal wieder dabei, meine Kiste mit den angefangenen, halbfertigen und unvollendeten Kartenbruchstücken zu nehmen und daraus die eine oder andere fertige Karte zu zaubern.
Jetzt ist dabei diese maskierte One Layer Tiefsee-Karte mit dem süßen Tintenfisch in einem Meer von Punkten im Ombre-Effekt entstanden.

Once in a while I take my box with the inchoate, half-done and incomplete card-fragments and try to do some magic to finish one or two cards.
Now this masked one layer deep-sea card with the cute sepia / octopus in an ocean of dots with ombre-effect developed.

Dieses Mal glitzert und schimmert es nicht nur auf meiner neuen Karte für die "Online Card Classes - Sparkle & Shine", es glänzt auch ganz gewaltig!
Die Karte hab ich für meinen Sohn Paul (14) gemacht - er fährt am Donnerstag zum "Finale er 22. Landesolympiade Junger Biologen Brandenburgs" nach Frankfurt/Oder! Meine positiven Gedanken begleiten ihn!

This time there is not only gitter und shimmer on my new card for the "Online Card Class - Sparkle & Shine", there is also lots of gloss.
I made this card for my son Paul (14) - he will participate in the "Finale of the 22. Olympics of Young Biologists of the German Federal Land of Brandenburg" to Frankfurt/Oder! My positive thoughts are with him!

Über die Karte:

Den Hintergrund hab ich mit einer Stencil und Glitzerklebern in Silber und zwei verschiedenen-Blautönen gestaltet. (Kristian Werner am Tag-5).
Während der Kleber trocknete, hab ich die Beiden Fische gestempelt, coloriert und mit der ersten Schicht Glossy Accents überzogen. Sobald die Schicht trocken war, hab ich eine weitere aufgetragen - im ganzen vier Schichten.
Das Ergebnis ist toll! Total plastisch und einfach nur glänzend! (Wie der Einkaufswagen und die Donuts von Kathy Racoosin am Tag-3.)

About this card:

 I made the background with a stencil and glitter-glu in silver and two different shades of blue. (Kristina Werner on Day-5)
While the glu was drying I stamped and colored the fish and covered them with a first layer of Glossy Accents. When this layer was dry I adhered one more - in total four loyers.
The result is amazing! It's so dimensional and glossy! (Like the shopping Cart and the Donuts of Kathy Racoosin on Day-3.)

Mein großer Sohn Paul geht bald für einige Tage mit meiner Mutter zum Segeln aufs "schwäbische Meer" = Bodensee.
Seine Vorfreude hat mich zu diesem Kärtchen inspiriert.

My biggest son Paul will go sailing on the "swabian sea" = Lake Constance (one of the biggest lakes of Germany, it's located between Germany, Austria and Switzerland) for some days together with my mom soon.
His pleasant anticipation was the inspiration for this card.

Über diese Karte:
Zuerst habe ich die Wellen mit einem Border-Embossuing-Folder geprägt und sie anschließend mit dem Blending-Tool und DistressInks im Ombré-Stil eingefärbt. Der Glitzer-Streifen an der Wasser-Oberfläche entstand aus Doppelklebeband und Glitzer-Embossing-Pulver - nach einer Technik, die Jennifer McGuire in der OCC gezeigt hatte.
About this card:
First I embossed the waves with a border-embossing-folder and then I blended it with DistressInks in ombré-style. The glitter-line on the top of the waves I created with double-sided adhesive tape and sparkling embossing powder - used a technique Jennifer McGuire has demonstrated in the OCC.

Ideen zur Karte:
Wenn man nur eine Hälfte eines Schmetterlingsstempels verwendet, erhält man das Flatterwesen in Seitenansicht. Das ist wohl mit die einfachste Version von "Stretch your Stamps"!
Ideas behind the card:

When you only use the half of a butterfly-stamp you get the fluttering critter in a side-view. Think this is one of the easiest ways to "Stretch your Staps"!

Ich habe aus den "Resten" des letzten gestanzten Kleeblatts noch ein weiteres gemacht und passend dazu einen motivierenden Spruch gestempelt und etwas Gold hinzugefügt.
Pergamentpapier mit Heat-embossing sieht einfach immer gut aus!
Muß zugeben, dass mich das Befestigen des Vellums bei dieser Karte heute fast zum Verzweifeln gebracht hat - Warum? Wenn ich das wüsste! Die 3D-Pads wollten einfach nicht kleben! - *Jammer-Modus Ende*

I need to tell you I was desperatet by adding the vellum onto the card today! - Why? - I still don't know why the 3D-Pads didn't stuck! - *End of moaning-mode*

Die Idee hinter dieser Karte ODER was ich mir beim Basteln so dazu gedacht habe:
Der vierblättrige Klee ist ja bei uns (wie an vielen Stellen der Welt) ein Glücks-Symbol (=Glücksklee).
Grün ist die Farbe der Hoffnung uns des Neuanfangs. - Ideal für anstehende Prüfungen (z.B. Abitur, ...)
Die Farb-Kombination grün & gold wirkt edel und "wertig". InVerbindung mit dem ganzen Schimmer & Glitter sogar noch etwas mehr...
Ich fand die Idee toll, das Gold in so vielen verschiedenen Materialien zu verwenden - Embossing-Pulver, Glimmer Mist-Spray, Glitzerkleber und Pailletten!

Idea behind the card OR some thoughts I had while I was crafting:
In Germany the lucky clover (trefoils with four leaves) is a symbol for luck too.
Green is the color of hope and the new beginning. -> Perfect for upcoming examinations (like school leaving examinations, ...)
The color-combination of green & gold is noble and significant. In touch with all the shimmer and glimmer even more...
I loved to use the gold in such a big variety - embossing powder, glimmer mist-spray, glitter glue and sequins!
