K1-1443 - you make me smile

 As I mentioned in the other post of today, I made a second card with the Scattered Polka Dot Stencil of Uniko.

This card was a bit of a mess, but like always messy crafting means lots of fun!
I used a thicker watercolour paper and spread a clear empossing paste ober the stencil. Then I sprinkled a little bit of  colourful Brusho powder ofer it and went over the area with my palette knife again.
After the paste was dry I used a wet brush to "remove" the micro-powder whick was on the paper. The powder got this nice light pink colour which is a great contrast to the deeper red and glossy dots.

After the thick paper was dry, I cut the strip, rounded the bottom corners and added it to the cardbase. The top area is adhered flat, the middle with 1 mm dimensional pads and the bottom with 2 mm dimensional pads.

The sentiment is stamped on a pice of white paper, I cut it, rounded the corners and adhered it flat on the watercolour paper.

K1-1355 - Stimmungsaufheller

Die Technike von Lydia Fiedler (OCC - Spring Card Capm, Day 10) mit dem Glitter Gel (und meinen Abwandlungen) haben mich eine ganze Weile beschäftigt...

Das ist eine der zu Anfang entstandenen Karten, in der ich alles bis auf einen kreisförmigen Ausschnitt der Stencil maskiert habe und so den blütenförmigen Teil des Mandalas aufs das eine Papier und den äußeren Teil auf das andere Papier gebracht habe.

An der schlichten Schönheit dieses Layers musste ich gar nicht mehr viel verändern... Ich hab nur noch mit einem roten Gel Stift einen Rahmen und einige Akzente gezeichnet und ein Spruchband zugefügt...

This one is one of the first cards I made. I masked off most of the stencil except a circle area. I stenciled the flowery part of the stencil in this circle and had also the outer area on the paper I used for the masking.

I needn't do a lot of crafting to make a card out of this beautiful CAS styled layer... I only drew some accents and a frame with a red gelly roll pencil and added a sentiment banner...
The German sentiment "Stimmungsaufheller" may be translated with "moodlifter".

Student-Gallery Days 6-10

Most of the time I'm inspired by the videos of the current "OCC - Spring Card Camp" right now.

It's already day three of the Introducing week for the 7th Birthday & February Release!

This is a Graffiti stamp, so I tried to involve this into my crafting process. 

Havn't used this brick wall embossing folder for a longer time (like many other folders by the way...)

For this card I think it was the perfect choice!

But let's stat in the beginning: I used my StampingTool to make the positioning of the impression on the same spot easier. The different colours were stamped one after another.

The next steps were embossing, cutting, adhering on the cardbase and embellishing the Graffiti with colourful Nuvo Drops.

The sentiment I stamped on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then I teared the edges to amplify a grunge look.

Über die Karte:

Ich habe ein Stück Papier mit Mica-Flakes foliert und daraus dann die Libellen ausgestanzt.
Die große, filigrane Libelle sollte im Mittelpunkt stehen - dafür habe ich sie auf eine ausgestanzte solide Libelle aus Moosgummi aufgeklebt (ist in dem Stanzen-Set ebenfalls enthalten). Damit man das Moosgummi durch die Löcher in den Flügeln nicht sieht, habe ich noch eine Schicht Vellum dazwischen gelegt.
Der Spruch ist mit einem schimmernden Embossingpulver gestaltet, das in der Farbe dem Blau der Mega-Flakes entspricht.
Die kleineren Libellen fliegen alle quer durcheinander, die große hat ihre Richtung nach rechts oben gefunden (es geht aufwärts!). Auf weitere Verzierungen habe ich bewusst verzichtet.

About this card:

First I foiled a pieve of paper with Mica-Flakes then cut the dragonflies out.
I wanted the big filigree dragonfly as center - so I mounted it on a solid-shaped dragonfly of Fun-Foam (this die is also part of the die-set). To avoid the Fun-Foam peeking through the holes of the wings I added a layer of Vellum between.
The sentiment is heat embossed with a shimmering powder which matches to the blue of the Mega-Flakes.
The little dragonflies are flying around disordered, the big one found its direction - to the top-right (yeah - it's looking up!). I avoid more embellishments.

"Be happy!" - Das sollte einem mit diesem süßen kleinen Koala-Bärchen ja nicht schwerfallen. :-)
"Be happy!"- That shouldn't be difficult with this cute little koala bear... :-)

Diese Karte ist eine von zweien, die ich (unter anderem) für die "CAS on Sunday Challenge #86 - Black, White & One Color" gemacht habe. 
Am Ende hab ich mich dann entschieden sie einzureichen, einfach, weil sie das Challenge-Thema noch etwas deutlicher darstellt als ihre "Konkurrenz". ;-) 
Was denkt ihr über meiner Entscheidung?

In the end I entered the challenge with this one, simple cause it shows the challenge-theme a little bit better than the "competitor". :-)

Vor einigen Tagen hab ich einige neue Embossingpulver-Farben bekommen, nun sind meine Regenbogen-Farben (fast) komplett. In Kombination mit dem tollen Regentropfen-Hintergrundstempel einfach klasse!
In real sieht man die erhabenen farbigen Stellen noch deutlicher als hier auf den bildern.

Some days ago I recived some new colors of empossing powder, now my rainbow-color-collection is (nearly) complete. The combination with this great raindrop-background-stamp is awesome!
In reality you can see the embossed and colored parts better than on the pics.
