K1-808 - Flight of the Bumble-Bee

Für die "Online Card Classes - Sparkle & Shine" hab ich diese Woche einige Karten gemacht. Auch diese hier.

Über die Karte:

Zuerst hab ich die Blüten in Two-(eher Three-)Step-Stamping-Technik mit Distress Inks und Memento Tuxedo black Ink gestempelt und anschließend mit Wink of Stella Glear Brush beglitzert.
Die Hummel hab ich aus einem Bogen doppelseitiger Klebefolie gestanzt und anschließend mit goldenen Mega-Flakes foliert. Das Aufkleben war hier nun ganz einfach - zweite Folie abziehen und platzieren - fertig (ohne Verschmieren von Flüssigkleber!).
Den Text wollte ich zuerst komplett in gold embossen - aber die kleine Schrift war mit meinem Pulver anschließend kaum lesbar! Nun hab ich sie mit Hilfe meines "HamptonArt Stamp Perfect" zuerst in schwarz gestempelt und dann nur auf den geschwungenen Teil Versa Mark Ink mit dem Markeraufgetragen und erneut gestempelt und mit dem goldenen Pulver bestreut. Nach dem Erhitzen sieht es doch toll aus, oder? Die Zentren der Blüten haben auf diese Weise ebenfalls einige goldene Akzente erhalten.

About this card:

First I stamped the flowers with Two-(rather Three-)Stamp-Technique with Distress Inks and Memento Tuxedo black Ink, then added some glimmer with the Wink of Stella clear brush.
The Bumble-Bee is diecut out of a double-adhesive foil and then covered with golden Mega-Flakes. Was so easy to adhere it on the card - only remove the second foil and place it - ready (without any smearing of a liquid glue!).
My first idea was to heat emboss the whole sentiment in gold - but the tiny letters were not clear readable! So I stamped the sentiment with the help of my "Hampton Art Perfect Stamp" first in black and then I added Versa Mark ink with the Marker only to the script part and added the powder. After heatening it it just looks great, doesn't it? In the same way I added some golden sccents to the centers of the flowers.

Über die Karte:

Mehr Mega-Flakes und mehr Libellen!
Diesmal habe ich die den Flitter-Glu (Kleber für die Mega-Flakes) in Flügelform direkt auf mein Papier gestempelt und beflaked. Der Libellenkörper ist aus schimmerndem, schwarzen Cardstock gestanzt.
Passend zur Farbe meiner Cardbase hab ich einige zackige "Wellen" gestempelt und mit Wink of Stella beglittert. Zum Abschluß hab ich den Text mit goldenem Embossingpulver zugefügt und einige Pailletten wie Wassertröpfchen auf der Karte verteilt.

About this card:

More Mega-Flakes and more dragonflies!
This time I stamped the Flitter-Glu (the glue for the Mega-Flakes) in the shape of the wings directly onto my paper and added the flakes. The body of the dragonfly I diecut out of a shimering, black cardstock.
Matching to the color of my cardbase I stamped some serrated "waves" and added some glitter with the Wink of Stella Clear Brush. To finish the card I heat embossed the sentiment with golden powder and placed some sequins like little drops of water on the card.

Über die Karte:

Ich habe ein Stück Papier mit Mica-Flakes foliert und daraus dann die Libellen ausgestanzt.
Die große, filigrane Libelle sollte im Mittelpunkt stehen - dafür habe ich sie auf eine ausgestanzte solide Libelle aus Moosgummi aufgeklebt (ist in dem Stanzen-Set ebenfalls enthalten). Damit man das Moosgummi durch die Löcher in den Flügeln nicht sieht, habe ich noch eine Schicht Vellum dazwischen gelegt.
Der Spruch ist mit einem schimmernden Embossingpulver gestaltet, das in der Farbe dem Blau der Mega-Flakes entspricht.
Die kleineren Libellen fliegen alle quer durcheinander, die große hat ihre Richtung nach rechts oben gefunden (es geht aufwärts!). Auf weitere Verzierungen habe ich bewusst verzichtet.

About this card:

First I foiled a pieve of paper with Mica-Flakes then cut the dragonflies out.
I wanted the big filigree dragonfly as center - so I mounted it on a solid-shaped dragonfly of Fun-Foam (this die is also part of the die-set). To avoid the Fun-Foam peeking through the holes of the wings I added a layer of Vellum between.
The sentiment is heat embossed with a shimmering powder which matches to the blue of the Mega-Flakes.
The little dragonflies are flying around disordered, the big one found its direction - to the top-right (yeah - it's looking up!). I avoid more embellishments.

K1-692 - flaked Butterfly with Vellum

Heute morgen war es in meinem Bastelzimmer noch kühl... jetzt ab mittags, wenn die Sonne um die Ecke kommt, möcht ich dann doch lieber in den Garten & den Pool... ;-)
Entstanden sind vorhin gleich zwei Schmetterlings-Karten - das ist bei gestanzten Elementen ja immer eine tolle Option!
Nachdem die kleinen Teile ja hier bereits aufgebraucht waren, hab ich für diese Karte den eigentlichen Schmetterling und das negativ-Stanzteil verwendet. Um ihn von seinem Untergrund abzuheben hab ich eine Schicht Vellum eingefügt.

Auf einen Text hab ich bisher noch verzichtet - ich wollte das "reine" Design erst mal so auf mich wirken lassen. Und es gefällt mir so ziemlich gut! - Vermutlich bleibt es auch so... wenn nicht, poste ich das fertige Exemplar natürlich hier nochmal dazu.

This morning my craft room was well-temperatured... but now the sun came around the corner and it's getting warmer and warmer - I think I'll prefer garden and pool-time for the afternoon... :-)
I made two butterfly-cards with only one working-step - that's the great opportunity with die-cut-elements!
After I used all these tiny elements in this card, I now had the focus on the real butterfly and the negative-piece of the die-cut. To lift the butterfly up from his underground, I put a layer of vellum between these both.
I've done the card withoun a sentiment, cause I wantet the pure design act on me. And I really like it! - I think I'll keep it this way... if I decide to add a sentiment later, I'll post the card here for you once more.

Die erste hat einen weißen Schmetterling mit eingelegten Elementen, die mit Mega-Flakes (oder auch gilding-flakes) "coloriert" sind.
Die "Reste" des Flattermanns fanden dann auf der zweiten Karte Verwendung.

O.K. im ersten Moment dachte ich, "100% gestempelt", das ist ja eine einfache Aufgabe!
Aber dann hab ich angefangen, mich zu fragen... Was bedeutet das eigentlich? Nur stempeln... hmmm... o.K. kein Schablonieren, kein Prägen, keine Stanzen, keine Klammern, keine Pailletten, keine Bänder - soweit alles einfach.
Aber kein Kolorieren? keine handgezeichneten Linien? ... ???

O.K. in the first moment I thought, "100% stamped" is an easy challenge-theme!
But then I started to ask myself... What does it mean!? Only stamping... hmmm... o.k. - no stencils, no embossing-folders, no die-cuts, no brads, no sequins, no twine - easy up to here.
But no coloring? no hand-drawn lines? ... ???

Ich für mich hab entschieden, dass Heißprägen (Embossing) o.K. ist, da ja die Tinte gestempelt wird und dann erst das Pulver dazu kommt. Auch dezenter Gebrauch von  handgezogenen Linien sollte gehen. - Der Fokus ist der entscheidende Punkt, oder?

I decided that heat embossing should be ok, cause you stamp the ink before you put the powder on it. Also small use of hand drawn lines should be o.k. - The main-focus is the important point, isn't it?

Die Schwierigkeit bei dieser Karte war, dass ich gerne einen Stanzen-Schriftzug von Paper Smooches verwenden wollte. Um dies mit dem Challenge-Thema von Virginia's View zu vereinbaren, hab ich ihn also aus Moosgummi ausgestanzt und damit das VersaMark gestempelt und anschließend embossed (um ein wenig Dimension zu bekommen)...!

The difficulty for this card: I wanted to use a sentiment die-cut from Paper Smooches. To get it into the challenge-theme of Virginia's View I first die-cut it with fun-foam and used this piece to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink and then heat-embossed it (to get a little bit of dimension)...!

K1-400 - Relax - the elegant way

Am vergangenen Wochenende hab ich ja etwas mit den Indigo Blue Mega Flakes herumexperimentiert.
Zuerst hab ich den FlitterGlu mit Stempeln, später mit Schablonen auf's Papier gebracht (jedes Mal mit Hilfe eines Schämmchens). Ich war etwas unsicher, wie gut der Kleber sich von den Arbeitsmaterialien entfernen lassen würde, denn alles haftete wunderbar an so ziemlich allem... war aber dann kein Problem, alles wieder sauber zu bekommen. Tatsächlich war ich auch überrascht, wie wenig stark meine Schablonen klebten, nachdem ich sie vom Papier entfernt hatte... Die letzte Schablone ließ ich daher ungereinigt liegen..., denn mir kam eine Idee!
Ich denke, ich mache morgen einige Versuche dazu und dann kann ich euch (hoffentlich) von spannenden Ergebnissen berichten! :-)

Last weekend I did some experiments with the Indigo Blue Mega Flakes.
First I used stamps, later stencils to add the glu on my papers (every time with the help of a little sponge). I was a little bit afraid before I cleand my working-stuff the first time, cause the glu seems to stick really well to everything... but there wasn't any bigger problem to clean the stuff. Actually I was surprised of the low-sticky feeling of the stencils after I removed them from the papers... I haven't cleaned the last one... cause I got an idea!
I think I'll try some experiments with it tomorrow and then I'll tell you more about it - so come back to get some (hopefully) exciting results! :-)
