K1-1249 - Magic of Christmas

In den letzten Jahren hatte ja für den Weihnachtsmarkt und das Teltower Hanami-/Kirschblütenfest sehr viele Karten vorbereitet. Wenn man aber jede freie Minute fürs Basteln investiert, kommt man irgendwann nicht mehr mit Posten hinterher!
Nach den Märkten lief das normale Leben (und Basteln) weiter und auch da fand ich oft nicht die Gelegenheiten, alles nachzuholen... 
In den Monaten seit Beginn der Pandemie hab ich mir mal die Zeit genommen, vieles neu zu ordnen. Habe auch meine Bestände an Karten und Bildern gesichtet und versucht herauszufinden, was ich hier noch gar nicht gezeigt hatte!

Besonder Weihnachtskarten postet man das Jahr über ja eher selten... - Da ich in den letzten Tagen hier schon wegen der neuen Uniko-Release viele weihnachtliche Karten gebastelt und gezeigt habe, bleib ich gleich mal dabei und ich zeig noch weitere! 🎄🌟😀

During the last years I made many cards for our Christmas Market and also the Hanami-/CherryBlossom festival of Teltow.
But if you use every free minute for crafting, there is no time left for posting!
After the markets the usual life with (and crafting) went on and I often couldn't find the possibilites to update everything...
During the monthes of the Pandemic I took the time to reorganize a lot. I also looked through all my card boxes and picture folders and tried to figure out, what I havn't posted yet.

In special way most of us don't post many Christmas Cards during the year... - But right now I prepared and posted many christmassy cards for the current Uniko Release, so I stick to this and post some more! 🎄🌟😀

Ich bin fast schon glücklich gewesen, dass ich diese Karte beim letzten Markt nicht verkauft hatte, denn sie gefällt mir immer noch so gut! Bin mal gespannt, wer sie vielleicht dieses Jahr zugeschickt bekommt!

Normalerweise mach ich ja Karten immer nur einmal. Heute wollte ich jedoch mal ein und das selbe Layout in zwei unterschiedlichen Weisen gestalten und die Wirkung dann vergleichen.
Andere Kartenbasis, anderer Hintergrund, andere Farben für Details.
Welche gefällt euch besser? Kranz-1 oder Kranz-2 (dieser hier)?

Usually I craft cards only once. Today I wanted to create one layout in two different ways and compare both wreaths.
Different cardbase, different background, different colors for the details. - Which one do you prefer? Wreath-1 or Wreath-2 (this one)?

Tut mir leid, dass die Bild-Qualität nicht wie sonst ist. Der Akku meiner Spiegelreflex-Kamera scheint altersschwach zu werden. :-( Ich musste daher heute auf meine Handy-Kamera zurückgreifen.... :-( Ich hoffe, ich kann den Akku baldmöglichst ersetzen!
Sorry, the quality of the pic isn't as good as usual. The rechargeable battery of my reflex-camera seems to be demaged. :-(  So I had to use my phone-camera for today... :-( I hope I can substitute the battery soon!

K1-559 - Ellie im Schnee-1

In dem einen der beiden Berliner Zoos gibt es seit kurzem ein kleines Elefanten-Baby! :-) Der Knirps darf zwar wegen den kalten Temperaturen derzeit noch nicht nach draußen, aber dieser hier auf meiner Karte, der darf! Und es gefällt ihm! :-)
Das Design hab ich heute farblich zwar ganz schlicht gehalten, konnte aber auf einige kleinere Verzierungen doch nicht ganz verzichten... neben Elefant & Embossing-Paste gibt's also noch etwas Washi-Tape (auch auf dem Umschlag), einige mehrlagige Schneeflöckchen (die sind für 3D-Pads immer zu filigran, da klebe ich sie lieber 3-4 fach zusammen) und einen eingefärbten Rand zu entdecken.

In one of the two Zoos of Berlin they have a newborn baby-elephant right now! :-) This little guy isn't allowed to go outside yet, cause of the low temperatures we currently have, but the one on my card is allowed! And he likes it! :-)
I tried to create a simple colored design today, but I couldn't resist to use some small embellishments... beside elephant and embossing-paste you may discover some washi-tape (also on the envelope), some multi-layered snowflakes (they are too delicate for 3D-pads or -tape, so I glue 3 or 4 of them together) and a colored edge.

Ich hab gleich noch eine zweite Karte mit dem süßen Ellie-Elefanten draußen im Schnee gemacht.
(Was für ein Glück, dass sich für beide Karten gleich mehrere Challenges kombinieren ließen!)

Why?
That's easy: I want to show you the inside of an one-layer-card (made of a simple cardstock) 
when you color with Stabilo markers on the front.
That's the reason why I love these markers! :-)
(Copics are great markers, but on this simple cardstock you always get bleeding on the backside (or inside). :-/ )

Ich hab gleich noch eine zweite Karte mit diesen süßen Vögeln von Avery Elle gemacht. Diesmal nicht in blau, sondern in grün.
I made a second card with these cute birds from Avery Elle. This time they are green instead of turquouis.
Zugegeben, ich bin kein großer Musiker, aber immerhin weiß ich, daß es üblich ist einzuzählen, wenn mehrere zusammen (!) singen wollen. So machen es auch die Vögel hier auf der Karte.

O.K., I'm not a great musician, but I know when several of them wanna sing together (!) they count off at the beginning. So do my birdies here on the card.
1,2... 1,2,3 and 4! the german version, the US one is "A one, two, a one, two, three" right?

Das Vogel-Stempelset stand schon auf meiner Wunschliste, als ich es das erste Mal gesehen hab - jetzt hab ich es endlich hier und auch schon im Einsatz!
Ich weiß nicht genau warum, aber die Farben der aktuellen Stempelküchen-Challenge haben es mir angetan! Vielleicht, weil sie mich an Urlaub erinnern... Türkisblaues Meer oder alternativ Pool und Sonnenschein...! Großartig!
Daher sind die Piepmätze mal in den blauen Farbtopf geplumpst und haben glitzernd-gelbe Schnäbel erhalten... Der gesprenkelte Hintergrund erinnert mich an grünes Blattwerk im Baum - bei der Kleckerei mit den Farben waren die Vögel maskiert, umt sie sauber zu halten. In Aktion waren hier ein Mix aus Splatter-Stempel und klassischem selbst-splattern.

This sweet bird-stampset was on my wishlist from the first moment I saw it - now it arrived here in my crafting-area and came direktly onto the table for the first use!
I'm not sure why, but I love the color-combo of the current Stempelküchen-Challenge so much! Maybe these colors remind me of vacation... turquoise ocean or pool-water and sunshine...! Great!
So these birdies fell into a blue paint-pot and got some sparkling-yellow peckers... The splattered background reminds me of green leaves in a tree - during this process, the birds were masked to keep them clean.I used a mix of splatter-stamps and classical self-made splatters.

2015 07-20:

Today I remembered I made a making-off picture of the card with my mobile phone. Normally I forget doing this while I'm working and so I can't show you what I did very often. But this time I got the idea while the masking fluid (=Rubbelkrepp) was drying! :-)

Since I bought the new Fluid, masking is much more fun than with the old one (which was clumpy cause of age).
