K1-1515 - Double-Slider - fairy year

Die heutige Karte ist der Grund, warum ich über meine bisherigen Postings der letzten Jahre nachgedacht habe und nun zu diesem Entschluss gelangt bin!

Heute wurde in Milos Kita unsere Erzieherin Katja verabschiedet!
Im Namen der Kinder und Eltern hab ich für sie diese Doppelte Zieh-Karte gemacht (= Auftrag meiner Elternvertreter-Kollegen.)
Wer Katja kennt, weiß auch sofort, warum ich mich bei dem Motiv für Elfen/Feen entschieden habe... dazu in Gedanken das Kindelied "Die Jahresuhr" und das Gefühl, dass die Zeit rennt (immerhin ist Milo nun auch schon seit zwei Jahren in der Kita Felsenblume!)... und schon war die Idee eines Jahres im Leben der Elfen geboren!

This card was the reason, why I started to think about my previous postings during the years and made this decision now!

Today Katja, one of the kindergarten techers of Milos daycare, had her last day and all kids and colleagues celebrated the farewell together. In the name of all kids and parents I made this double slider card for her (by order of my parent-spokesperson colleagues).
Everybody who knows Katja understand immediatelly why I've choosen the theme of fairies... in addition to this, a children song called "die Jahresuhr" (a song about the monthes, the seasons and the annual repetition) and the feeling of running time (Milo is part of this kindergarten for two years now!)... and there was the idea of the year in a fairy life!

Doch der Platz auf einer klassischen A6-Karte war viel zu klein für die geplante Szene! Auch eine normale DIN lang Karte war nicht das Richtige...
Da blieben nur noch wenige Optionen - das größere Kartenformat in Din A5 oder eine Karte mit Elementen zum heraus-klappen oder -schieben.
Ich hab noch nie zuvor eine Doppelte Zieh-Karte gemacht - das war doch jetzt ein guter Anlass, das mal auszuprobieren!

But the area on a usual A6 card was way too small for the scene I had in my mind! Also a DIN long card wasn't enough...
Only some options left - a bigger card size like DIN A5 or a card with unfoldable or movable elements.
I've never made a double slider card before - that seems a great occasion to give it a first try now!

Beginnen wir auf der "klassischen Kartenfront" mit der aktuellen Jahreszeiten Herbst und dem bald folgenden Winter. Wenn man die beiden Flügel herauszieht, kommt rechts (in Leserichtung) erst der Frühling und dann ganz links wieder der Sommer.
Die einzelnen Zeiten haben immer ein Elfen-Zuhause, eine Elfe und einige Details aus der saisonalen Natur. Die Übergänge werden durch kleine Luftwirbel angedeutet.
Für viele von uns gehört zu Feen auch etwas Glitzern und Funkeln dazu - darum hab ich neben den eher schlichten Aquarellfarben da noch einige Akzente gesetzt.

On the "usual cardfront" I placed the real season autumn and the following winter. When you activate the sliders there appears the spring on the right side and then you have to close the seasonal ring with the summer on the left side.
In every little scene there is an fairy home, a fairy and some natural stuff from the season. The crossings I symbolised with little wind-swirls.
For most people fairies and sparkle and glitter belongs together - so I added some coloured accents to the more unsophisticated artist watercolours I used for my colorations.

Für die große Szene hab ich 6 verschiedene Stempelsets von LawnFawn verwendet, dazu noch 4 weitere Sets von Create A Smile und Craft Emotions zur Gestaltung der Innenseite.
Für alles Stempeln, Maskieren, Kolorieren und Zusammenbauen hab ich sicher mindestens 4 oder 5 Stunden gebraucht!
Das war sehr Zeit-intensiv - aber der beste Lohn dafür war die Freude in Katjas Augen und ihr Lächeln! 😍💕

I used 6 different stamp sets from Lawn Fawn for the big scene and in addition 4 more sets from Create A Smile and Craft Emotions for the decoration of the inside.
With all the stamping, masking, colouring and putting everything together the card took me in minimum about 4 or 5 hours!
Was very time consuming - but the best salary was the joy in Katjas eyes and her smile! 😍💕

K1-1158 - Driving Home Bear

Vor kurzem bat mich ein Freund, eine Geburtstagskarte für seine Frau zu entwerfen. Da das Geschenk mit dem Thema Auto zu tun hatte, hab ich das süße Bärenset "Town Bear" verwendet und damit eine knuffige Action-Karte für die liebe Anja gezaubert! :-)
Im Karten Inneren war dann noch ein Glückwunsch-Text gestempelt (den hab ich leider vergessen zu fotografieren!).

Recently a good friend asked me to create a birthday card for his wife. The gift was car-themed so I decided to use the sweet "Town Bear" stamp set to create a cute action card for my friend Anja! :-)
On the inside I stamped a birthday sentiment (but I forgot to make pics of it, sorry!).

Vom Aufbau her sind Slider-Karten ja eigentlich recht einfach: 

• Eine Szene zusammenstellen, die Hintergrund-Elemente stempeln und kolorieren. 
• Auf ein extra Stück Papier die Vordergrund-Elemente und die beweglichen Teile stempeln, kolorieren und ausschneiden.
• Den Bewegungs-Pfad festlegen und ausscheiden. Auf der Kartenbasis den dadurch sichtbaren Bereich gestalten (hier die Straße).
• Das Sliderelement montieren und es, für eine bessere Beweglichkeit, unterhalb des Hintergrund-Papiers mit einer Münze beschweren.
• Den Hintergrund mit 3D Tape auf der Kartenbasis montieren.
• Alle Vordergrund-Motive ebenfalls mit (dünnem)3D Pads aufkleben.

Gesagt - getan. Klappte auch alles gut, bis ich beim finalen Bewegungstest plötzlich feststellte, dass das Auto aufgrund meiner Art der Montage (etwa mittig zwischen Reifen und Fenster) nicht auf, sondern neben der Straße fährt! Aber da ich nicht alles nochmal auseinander reißen wollte, ist es jetzt eben ein off-road Geländewagen (oder ein SUV)! ;-)

Eines ist noch wichtig: 

Damit das Auto sich nicht um sich selbst dreht, benötigt es entweder eine ovale oder zwei nah beieinander liegende runde Abstandshalter zur Münze!

The making of a slider card is in fact really simple:

• Create a scene, stamp and colour the background elements.
• Stamp and colour all foreground  and slider elements on an extra piece of paper and cut them out.
• Decide where the slider path should be and cut it out. If necessary colour this area on the card base in fitting colours (here the road).
• Add the slider element to the background panel, for a better movement you should add a little coin underneath the panel.
• Adhere the background panel with 3D tape to the bardbase.
• Add the foreground elements also with (thin) 3D pads.

Said and done. Everything went great until I checked the movement at the end of my crafting! I just recognized the car isn't driving on, but beside the road! The reason is my way of adhering the bear on the slider elements (my fix-points are in the middle between the wheels and the window). But then I decided it's not bad enough to destroy everything I did... It's an off-road  all-terrain vehicle (or SUV) now! ;-)

On importend detail:

To avoid the car rotating or spinning around you need to fix it on the coin with an oval or with two round side by side distance-elements.

K1-742 - Speedy Recovery - Slider-LED-card

Heute ist Premieren-Tag!
Nachdem ich an dieser Karte ziemlich lange gebastelt habe, bis sie so funktioniert hat, wie ich mir das ausgedacht hatte, hab ich beschlossen, euch das Ganze in einem Video zu zeigen! In einem allerersten Video hier für den Blog!

Today it's Premiere-Day!
I was crafting for a really long time on this card, until everything was working like I've planned it, so I decided to show you the live-effect of it in a video! It's my very first one here for the blog!


Da ich jetzt so spontan aus dem Ärmel geschüttelt keine tolle High-Tech-Ausrüstung zur Verfügung habe, ist es vielleicht in qualitativer Hinsicht eher sparsam, aber ich denke doch, dass die gezeigte Technik der Slider-LED-Karte das wieder wettmacht!
Jetzt hoffe ich mal, dass sich der eine oder andere von euch traut, es sich anzusehen. ;-)

I havn't a super high-tech-equipment here, so the quality isn't really high, but I think, the Slider-LED-Card technique I'll show you there compensates this!
It's only in German - but I think, the pictures are self-explaining most of the time and if not - please feel free to ask! - I'll answer on every question and will translate if necessary!

K1-411 - Glück & Liebe

Ungewöhnliche Karten für ungewöhnliche Leute. Richtig? In diesem Fall die Geburtstagskarte für meinen Schatz.
Bei diesem Kärtchen hier habe ich alles wie für eine Spinning-Karte vorbereitet, dann aber das Schweinchen auf ein rechteckigen Abstandshalter geklebt, so dass es von links nach rechts geschoben werden kann und nicht wild herumrollt. Stattdessen habe ich es auf einem Action-Wobbler montiert, damit es ein wenig wackelt, wenn man es bewegt (was man auf dem Bild leider nicht erkennen kann).
Der Mini-Film ist mal wieder in meiner Google+-Bildersammlung von alleine entstanden. Eigentlich sollten es Einzel-Bilder sein - daher auch etwas wacklige "Bildführung", sorry. Ich versuche das noch zu ändern... 

Special cards for special people. Right? In this case the birthday card for my hubby.
For this card the preparation was the same as for a spinning-card, but I put the piggy on a rectangular distance piece so it may be moved (pushed) from side to side and doesn't roll around. Instead of that I put an action wobbler under the pig, so it's shaking a bit while it moves (sadly not visible on the pic).
Again, the mini-movie was generated in my Google+-pic-collection on its own. These pics were planned to be single pics - that's the reason for the wiggling point-of-view, sorry. I'll try to fix it as soon as possible....
