K1-1171 - Wild Tiger / Uniko-Release (II)

This card is part of a "set", it means I made two background-papers with one step of "work". In this case I inked my paper through a stencil and then used the stencil for another card I'll show today.

I know, the tiger-pattern in the background is "wrong", cause usually the cat is orange and the stripes are black. I just liked  it this way - with no other reason.

Reminds me of the "penguin-question" I wrote a while ago... Do you know it? Let me know in the comments! 😉

K1-1171 - Wild Tiger

For quiet a while I use cosmetic Blending Brushes now. I found them in our drugstore a while before they got popular in the crafty world, offered by craft companies. But I hadn't bought them immediatelly.
Then I saw several videos on YT with comparisons between the craft and the cosmetic brushes and decided, the less expansive brushed would be ok for me for a first try. 
I'm happy with them (but I have just worked with mine, not with the crafty brushes, maybe they are different?!)
I hadn't big problems with my blending tools before, but with the brushes it's so easy to get a completely soft blending with very soft colour if you want.

Today I layered more ink to get a more intense pattern on my "natural" sprinkled cardstock.

The little tiger is stamped with an old step stemping set from Artemio. It's a funny one, cause you can choose the outline of the cat, the inside and then there are three different patterns available in the set. I've choosen the tiger one - fitting to my background.

On my cardbase I placed two stripes of fabric tape and two stripes of black paper. The distance I measured out to frame the top and the bottom of my front-panel which is added with dimensional tape.

Über die Karte:

Ich hab das Design der Karte recht schlicht gehalten. Das WashiTape deutet eine gekachelte Küchenwand an, der Ofen ist ohne viel Schnick-Schnack in Edelstahl-Optik coloriert.
Der komplette Kartentext ist selbst gestaltet - teilweise mit Einzelbuchstaben gestempelt, teilweise handgeschrieben.

About this card:

I created a CAS design. The WashiTape looks like a tiled kitchen-wall and the ofen is colored like simple stainless steel.
The sentiment is selfmade - I stamped some words with letter-stamps and handwrote the rest.

K1-559 - Ellie im Schnee-1

In dem einen der beiden Berliner Zoos gibt es seit kurzem ein kleines Elefanten-Baby! :-) Der Knirps darf zwar wegen den kalten Temperaturen derzeit noch nicht nach draußen, aber dieser hier auf meiner Karte, der darf! Und es gefällt ihm! :-)
Das Design hab ich heute farblich zwar ganz schlicht gehalten, konnte aber auf einige kleinere Verzierungen doch nicht ganz verzichten... neben Elefant & Embossing-Paste gibt's also noch etwas Washi-Tape (auch auf dem Umschlag), einige mehrlagige Schneeflöckchen (die sind für 3D-Pads immer zu filigran, da klebe ich sie lieber 3-4 fach zusammen) und einen eingefärbten Rand zu entdecken.

In one of the two Zoos of Berlin they have a newborn baby-elephant right now! :-) This little guy isn't allowed to go outside yet, cause of the low temperatures we currently have, but the one on my card is allowed! And he likes it! :-)
I tried to create a simple colored design today, but I couldn't resist to use some small embellishments... beside elephant and embossing-paste you may discover some washi-tape (also on the envelope), some multi-layered snowflakes (they are too delicate for 3D-pads or -tape, so I glue 3 or 4 of them together) and a colored edge.

Ich hab gleich noch eine zweite Karte mit dem süßen Ellie-Elefanten draußen im Schnee gemacht.
(Was für ein Glück, dass sich für beide Karten gleich mehrere Challenges kombinieren ließen!)

Was könnte es besseres geben, als ein neues Lebensjahr mit einer witzigen Geburtstagskarte zu beginnen? Das versüßt einem doch die Tragik des Älterwerdens und bringt einen zum Schmunzeln. ;-)

Gut geeingnet, wenn man mal das zeitige Absenden verpennt hat...

The sentiment is a funny German rhyme to the melody of "Happy Birthday to you... jam in the shoe" (kids are singing this since 30 or maybe 40 years ago up to today) and Christine (Create A Smile Stamps) made a stamp with it! The second part of the sentiment is "oups, too late..."

K1-366 - Hühnerhof / Chicken Run

Nicht nur Hühner rennen, sondern auch die Zeit... Ostern kommt näher und ich brauch noch einige Karten!
Ich weiß nicht genau, warum das Huhn auf der Karte rennt. Vielleicht hat es vergessen, viele Eier für den Hasen zu legen und will damit genau jetzt anfangen? Oder vielleicht hat es auch Angst vor dem Hasen weil es seine Eier nicht weggeben möchte?! 
Denkt euch was aus!

Not only chickens are runing, also the time... Easter time is near and I need some more cards!
I'm not sure why the chick on the card is running. Maybe it missed to produce lots of eggs for the bunny and wanna start right now? Or maybe it's afraid of the rabbit cause it won't give the eggs away?!

Eine neue Karte für die Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 4. Eine zweite Karte mit der von Karolyn Loncon gezeigten "Velveteen-Stamping" Technik, diesmal eine Geburtstags-Karte mit Blüten. Die kleinen Punkte des Hintergrunds kann man in den Detailbildern gut erkennen.
