Heute soll es laut Wetterbericht hier schon wieder Schneeregen geben... Vielleicht bessert sich die Stimmung darüber etwas, wenn wir ein fröhliches Winterlied anstimmen?!
Zum Beispiel "Schneeflöckchen, Weissröckchen, wann kommst du geschneit? Du wohnst in den Wolken, dein Weg ist so weit..."

Tut mir leid, dass die Bilder keinen optimalen Fokus haben (er liegt auf dem Spiegelbild, nicht auf der Karte), aber als ich das bemerkt habe, war die Karte schon versandt...

The meteorologists forecasted snowy rain for today... Maybe a jolly winter song may lift our spirit a bit?!
The example is a traditional German song about little snowflakes. 
The translation is something like "Little snowflake , little white skirt, when are you falling from sky? You live in the clouds and your way is so long..." (for the rhyme it should be "your way is so high").
The first words of the song I used as sentiment on the card.

Sorry, the pictures haven't the right focus (it's on the mirror, not on the card), but when I recognized the fault the card was already send out...

In den letzten Tagen war bei uns alles mit einer dünnen Schicht Schnee überzuckert. Es war nicht viel, aber es sieht so viel schöner aus als die trostlosen braunen Beete ohne Pflanzen.
Da kam mir das Lied "Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen" in den Sinn... Perfekt! dass es davon einen Text-Stempel von "Create A Smile" gibt, oder?!?
Weiße Wolken und glitzernde Flocken dazu - und fertig war die Karte!

The last few days a tiny bit of snow covered everything outside. It wasn't much snow, but enough to prettify the bleak brown beds without plants.
I got the traditional German winter song "Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen" in my mind. Perfect! there is a stampset from "Create A Smile" with the first line of the song!
Added some white clouds and some sparkling and shimmering flakes - and the card was finished!
 
I try to translate it... just to get you a feeling of what was my idea behind the card. But the wording is a bit old fashioned and the rhythm don't fit to the English words... so please don't wonder ;-)

"Little snowflake, little white dressed / when you will snow down /
you live in the clouds / your way is so far.

Come'n sit down at the window / you lovely star /
paint flowers and leaves / we are fond of you.

Inspiriert wurde ich - neben der OCC - zusätzlich von den Urlaubsbildern aus den Bergen, die Freunde gezeigt haben und der Musik im Radio... Da passte jetzt einfach alles zusammen!

Let's go on a distance! With landscape cards for the new Online Card Class - "Simply Watercolor".
I was inspired by some vacation pictures with mountains friends posted  and the music in the radio... Everything fits perfectly together for this card!

Fünf Tage lang hat Kristina Werner täglich selbst drei plus ein Video einer Gast-Designerin gezeigt - in Summe also 20 tolle Videos zum Thema Wasserfarben!
Ich habe noch längst nicht alle "Hausaufgaben" gemacht, aber das, was fertig ist, zeige ich jetzt hier!

Last Monday the new Online Card Class started!
On five days Kristina Werner showd herself three videos plus one additional one from a guest designer - in sum 20 great videos themed on watercolors!

On Day 4 all lessons were about "Landscapes & Nature".
Kristina Werner created a soft hill landscape with some trees and lots of sky in her first video of this day and todays GueastDesigner Kelly Latevola made a great sunrise-scene.

For this class you need watercolor paper and any kind of watercolor medium.
I used the watercolours from Lukas again, additional some opaque white (cause I have no white Guache here) for the snowcovered peaks. The sentiment is written with a Faber Castell PITT artist pen (S) in black.

Ich mag ja -vor allem für Kinderkarten- deutsche Textstempel sehr gerne! Und bei kleinen Kindern ist zum Geburtstag der "Heute kann es regnen, stürmen oder schnei'n..."-Stempel (ja, genau wie in dem Geburtstagslied von Rolf Zuckowski!) aus dem Set "Ausflippen" von "Create A Smile" immer toll.
Ich hab auf der Innenseite der Karte den Text noch weitergeführt - zum Teil von Hand geschrieben, zum Teil mit Alpha-Stickern aufgeklebt.

I love german sentiment-stamps - especially for Kids-cards! And for little kids birthdays I prefer a stamp out of the Set "Ausflippen" from "Create A Smile". It's the first line of a well-known birthday-song from a kids song-writer.
On the inside of the card I continued the sentiment with the second line of the song in hand-lettering and with Alpha-Stickers.

Sicher kennen viele von Euch das Lied "Wie schön, dass du geboren bist" von Rolf Zuckowski. Christine von Create a Smile jedenfalls kennt es und hat Zeilen davon als Stempel in ihren Sets "Ausflippen" und "Mini Geburtstag" mit drin.
Das habe ich bei dieser stürmischen Geburtstagskarte verwendet -  stürmisch, da die Schrumpffolien-Regenschirmchen sich beim Schrumpfen ein wenig verbogen haben.

A german (kids-)songwriter made a nice birthday-song - (I found a translation for you here). 
For all of you who don't want to read the whole traslation, here a really short version: It may be bad weather with rain, storm and snow, but you are shining like a sun, cause it's your birthday..
Christine from Create a Smile also knows this song and used some text-lines in her Stamp-Sets "Ausflippen" and "Mini Geburtstag".I used it to create this stormy birthday-card - stormy, cause the little shrink-umbrellas were bended a little bit during the shrinking-process.

2016_03-29: Nachtrag / supplement

Manchmal hat man ein Gedächtnis wie ein Sieb...

Als ich gestern die Bilder gemacht und den Blogeintrag geschrieben habe, hatte ich die ganze Zeit das Gefühl, es fehlt irgendwas... Und ja, das stimmte auch! Ich hab die Innenseite der Karte vergessen! (So oft mach ich ja keine Insider-Karten, darum gehört das Innere nicht zur normalen Routine beim Bearbeiten...)

Ich hab versucht, die Zeit sichtbar zu machen, indem ich den kleinen Fuchs in blasser werdenden Tönen coloriert hab... aber die beiden "älteren" waren immer noch zu farbintensiv, weshalb ich sie mit einem Stück Pergament bedeckt hab.
Die Wolken stehen für etwas in der Art von "The sky is the limit" = "Alles ist möglich".

I tried to make the time visible by shading the foxy in more and more pale colors... but the two "older" ones still looked too intense, so I decided to cover them with a  piece of vellum.
The clouds symbolize something like "the sky is the limit".

Wer kennt diese Zeilen von Reinhard Mey nicht!?
Wenn ich so aus dem Fenster seh und eine fast geschlossene Wolkendecke in Grautönen erblicke, dann wünsch ich mich grad auch irgendwie dorthin... zum Sonnenlicht. In real geht das ja leider nicht, aber mit Papier und Farbe schon! Das ist also der Grund, warum heute die Karte mit dem feschen kleinen Flieger entstand.
