Already two weeks ago the November/December 2019 Challenge on the Uniko Blog started!
So it's time to write a little reminder for you - just in case you havn't played there yet!
On the Blog page you'll find in both postings, the originally Challenge post and the today's reminder post, also all the cards from the Brand Ambassador Team and our Guest Designer

K1-1261 - Folk-Snowflake Background - Detail
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
The steps to create a card like this one are so easy and they don't need lots of time!
  • Create an easy and colourful background paper with two or three alcohol inks and the smooshing technique.
Pep it up with a bit of additional ink ot blending solution (splatters ot brush strokes).
  • Take your Christmas Folk Snowflake Stencil and trace all edges with a fine marker. Work slow and careful to get a good result!
  • Cut this paper, have an eye on the pattern (there are different possibilities).
  • Adhere the paper on a fitting coloured paper and these two layers on your card base or adhere your paper directly on the card front.
  • Stamp the sentiment three times in different colours or techniques. In my case I stamped them in Distress Oxide Inks, picked raspberry and abandoned coral (mixed them on the stamp). The first one I just let as it was, the second one I covered with a clear star gelly roll pencil and the third one I heat embossed with fine clear powder.
  • I cut out 1/4 of one snowflake / star of the background pattern and put it on the sentiment layer.
Adhere this sentiment layer with 3D pads on the front. It's extra eye catching when you insert the little cut out piece in the original background pattern - same position of the elements!
  • If you want, you can embellish the card with some glitter or enamel doots, rhinestones, pearls or sequins. But don't do too much, sometimes less is more when you have a busy background!

K1-1153 - keine Sorge

Today we go into the ocean once more with my card...
On the front you see a tiny, frightened, yellow fish and a big shark (ok, it looks friendly, but hey, it's a shark!).
The big German sentiment in the ocean "keine Sorge" means "don't worry".
The solution of this scene you'll find on the inside of the card!

K1-1153 - keine Sorge - Inside
Da dreht der Hai sicher um! Oder was meint ihr?

The shark will turn and swim away, won't he?
I think the meaning of the German sentiment "wir stehen hinter dir" is clear - "we've got your back".
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
The front panel is made with alcohol inks on translucent Yupo paper. The sentiment is carefully heat embossed with white powder.
Front fish and shark are stamped, coloured with markers and then fussycut out.

On the inside the fishes were stamped directly on the paper.
After I adhered the ocean layer, I traced the edge with liquid glue and added a bit of white iridescent glitter to put some extra sparkle to the card.

K1-1155 - Whale hello

Heute geht's mal wieder zur Erfrischung in den Ozean!

Today we dive down into the ocean for some refreshment!
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
K1-1155 - Whale hello
K1-1155 - Whale hello
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

The background is made with Alcohol Inks on Yupo "paper".
I finally started to buy some Alcohol Inks this year. I'm still a Newbie to this medium and I'm experimenting (sometimes a bit charily) with it. The strong responsiveness is surprising me again and again! And I'm amazed of the very individual results very often!
The whale is stamped and then coloures with cold grey Copic Ciao Markers. It's added to the card with dimensional pads.

The "hello" is diecut several times and stacked together, fianlly covered with a silver sparkling embossing powder.
