In diesem Monat gibt es keine neue Release bei Uniko, daher kehren wir zu unserem Brauch zurück, stattdessen eine große Brand Ambassador Blog Hop Party mit euch allen zu feiern!

Beverly, die Inhaberin von Uniko Stamps, bat uns, dem bereits erschienenen Set "Hello Lovely" mal wieder etwas Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken.

Ich habe hier mit den Embossingpulver Farben "gespielt".

Am besten geht diese Technik, wenn man ein StampingTool zum aufklappen verwendet, da man dann in aller Ruhe und immer wieder Bereiche mit Versamark Ink versehen und mit dem entsprechenden Pulver versehen kann. Nach jedem Pulver-Auftrag unbedingt erhitzen, um ungewollte Farbvermischungen zu vermeiden!

So wird dann die Farbe in mehreren Schichten aufgetragen (ich hab nicht mitgezählt.... )

Meine Pfingstrose hab ich hauptsächlich in weiß und rosa-Tönen gehalten.

Hier gibt's ein Beispiel für eine wunderschöne weiß-rosa Pfingstrose.

 

Here I "played" with the embossing powder colours.
This technique works best when you can use a stamping platform with a swinging flap, cause you can prepare areas again and again with Versamark ink and powder. Heat it up after every powder-step to avoid unwanted colour-mixing.

The colours are added in several layers (havn't count how many...)

For my peonies I used white and several shades of pink.

K1-1416 - embossed Thank You / Uniko Challenge #61 Reminder

Can you believe it? It's already October now and it's time for the Reminder Post for the current Uniko-Challenge  #61! It's an Anything Goes Challenge with the optional twist "Thanks".

I hope, every one of you has a reason to say thanks right now! Thanks to someone who was or still is there for you, to take care, to talk when you feel bad, to encourage or inspire you, to make you laugh or just to feel needed!

If there isn't anybody special, use the season to be inspired! It's harvest time, the time for beeing thankful!

The technique I used for this card I've seen some weeks before in a YouTube video of Jennifer McGuire. She called it "embossed impressions" I think. 

It was a bit tricky and needed some tries until I was almost happy with the result, but these heat embossed thin lines on the die-embossed paper look great, don't they?

Yes, you read it correct! 

First I impressed the paper with a cutting die (and a silicone matte) with VersaMark on the cutting-edges (just there and nowhere else!), then I put embossing powder over it and heat embossed this to melt into the impressed lines. How cool is this?

For my card I used a left-over colourful mix of embossing powders (all from Zing!) I also heat embossed the sentiment and some little punched circles with the same powder.
To get a bit of "real" colour I put a strip of red paper beneath the cut out sentiment and cut it again.

I combined rough and smooth papers, white and (very) colourful pieces, outlined flowers and a bold sentiment, impressed areas and raised ones, glossy dots and matte paper ... 

So many contraries but in the result it is a simple and unagitated (stress-free) CAS card!

Ich hab mal wieder mit Embossing-Pulver gespielt...
Dabei sind drei Karten entstanden. Die erste in Regenbogen-Farben, die zweite in buntem Farb-Mix mit roten Akzenten und die dritte in etwas abgewandeltem Farb-Mix mit extra-hervorgehobenen roten Herzen.
Für das Detailbild von Karte*2 hab ich den Farbmix mit der Macro-Linse mal etwas größer aufgenommen... damit man erkennen kann, was alles drinsteckt in der Mixtur.

And I got three cards - the first one with rainbow-colors, the second one with a variegated color-mix and some red accents and the third one with changed color-mix and some extra highlighted red hearts.
For the Detail-picture of Card*2 I used my macro-lens to show you, what's included in the color-mixture.
