K1-1533 - Ahorn-Flieger

Aufstellerkarten zu basteln macht Spaß, aber leider vergesse ich oft, diese Möglichkeit "etwas besonderes" zu gestalten zu nutzen...
Als ich kürzlich meine ersten Sets mit den süßen Stempeln von Tracey Hey / Alpaca Pals in Händen hielt, war mir sofort klar, dass ich damit eine interaktive Karte gestalten möchte!

Making Easel-Cards is fun, but I often forget to use this opportunity to craft something "special"...
Recently I got my very first sets of cute stamps from Tracey Hey / Alpaca Pals I knew immediatelly I want to create an interactive card with them!

Bis dann schließlich und endlich alles so funktionierte, wie ich es geplant hab, dauerte es eine ganze Weile... der erste Versuch, einen dünnen Strohhalm als Führung für den Nylonfaden zwischen die beiden Lagen des Häschens zu kleben, misslang, da das Nylon in das doch recht leicht brüchige Stroh einschnitt und sich verhakte.
Eine Reihe Rocaille-Perlen war dann der zweite Versuch, der besser funktionierte.
Der Schwerpunkt des Häschens liegt bei der aufgestellten Karte etwas ungünstig - er hing dann immer fast unsichtbar in der Öffnung. Daher hab ich es jetzt so gemacht, dass man ihn ein klein wenig entlang des Nylonfadens verschieben kann und das Ahornblatt so am oberen Rand der Öffnung arretiert. Zum Drehen schiebt man ihn einfach wieder ein kleines Stück tiefer, holt Luft und los geht es!

It took a while until everything worked like I had planned it before... in the first try I used a thin straw to guide the nylon thread between the two layers of paper of the rabbit. But this plan failed, cause the straw was demaged easily and then the thread got caught.
The second try was a row of little Rocaille-pearls and this went better.
When the Easel card is standing, the balance point of the rabbit is a bit difficult and the rabbit is almost unvisible from the front. Now you can move it a little bit up and down to lock or unlock it. To start the spinner, put it down and blow!

Ihr kennt sicher das "Problem", wenn man mit einer neuen Technik oder neuem Material arbeitet und dabei eine größere Menge toller, neuer Hintergrund-Papiere enstehen... Wenn man sie nicht gleich weiterverarbeitet neigen sie dazu, sich anzusammeln und irgendwann wird's unüberschaubar...
Zu Weihnachten hab ich von meinem Mann ja die 24 Ranger Distress Oxide Inks bekommen... Und hab sie in den letzten Wochen viel mit ihnen gewerkelt - und tu es noch! - Es wird höchste Zeit, mehr daraus zu machen!

I think you know the "problem", when you work with new supplies or techniques and it ends with a lot of amazing, new background papers... When you don't use them immediatelly they like to accumulate and one day they will overflow your desk...
I got the 24 Ranger Distress Oxide Inks from my hubby for Christmas. And I really used them a lot during the last weeks - and still do! - It's time do finish some cards with all these backgrounds!


Die erste und vielleicht einfachste Oxide-Technik ist einfaches Blending (und ja, das Blending ist super einfach mit diesen Farben!) und anschließend mit Wassertropfen besprenkeln und sie ihre Arbeit machen lassen. Dabei entstehen großartige Effekte!

The first and maybe easiest Oxide-technique ist simple blending (yes, it's so easy to blend these colours!) and then add some water-drops on top and let them do their work. You'll get great effects!

Über die Karte:
Verschiedene Blautöne und dazu noch die Wassertropfen... ein perfekter Meeres-Hintergrund.
Der Delphin ist mit zwei Haltepunkten für den Spinner ausgestattet, so dass er nur im Kreis schwimmt und nicht zusätzlich auch noch um sich selbst kreiselt.

About this card:

Different blues and the additional waterdrops... a perfect maritim background.
I fixed the dolphin onto the spinner-mechanic twice, so it can swim around in the circle way without spinning around itself.

Endlich komm ich mal wieder dazu, meinen Blog zu füttern (armes verhungertes Etwas!).
In den letzten Tagen sind einige Karten entstanden... und ich kam vor lauter Basteln gar nicht an meinen Rechner...!
Doch bevor es die neuen Karten und auch andere tolle neue Sachen zu sehen gibt, kommen erst noch einige letzte Weihnachtskarten.

During the last few days I made several cards... and I couldn't find time for my computer...!
But before I show you the new cards and some other new stuff, I have some late Christmas Cards for you.

Bei dieser hier hab ich extra noch daran gedacht, sie zu fotografieren, eh sie einige Tage vor Weihnachten noch zur Post ging. Nach den Feiertagen hab ich dann die Bilder aus Versehen mit den ganzen Familienbildern zusammen in einen Ordner kopiert - definitiv den falschen für meine Karten-Bilder! Dauerte nun einige Tage, bis ich sie wiedergefunden hatte... Aber jetzt sind sie wieder aufgetaucht und ihr bekommt endlich diese doppel-Aktions-Karte zu sehen!
Doppel-Aktion? Ja! Da ist ein Shaker in der Schneekugel und dazu noch eine tanzende Schneeflocke!

I nearly forgot to take photos of this one, made them in the last moment befor the envelope went to the post office some days before Christmas. By an oversight I put them into an folder on the PC together with the Familypics after the christmas days - for sure the wrong folder for my card-pics! It took some days to find them... But now they appeared and you can take a look on this double-action-card!
Double-action? Yes! - There is a shaker in the SnowGlobe and a dancing spinner-snowflake!

Manchmal kommt es anders, als man denkt... So auch bei dieser LED-Karte.
Geplant war eigentlich, dass das Licht der LEDs durch die vielen kleinen Punkte der Stanze scheinen sollte... aber die  kleinen Lämpchen erzeugen dafür zu wenig Lichtstreuung! Aber dafür wirken die 6 Lichtpunkte durch ihre Anordnung wie eine optische Vergrößerung der kleinen Schneeflocke. Damit machen sie das Löchermeer zum Schnee-Gestöber!
Alles in allem bin ich also mit dem unerwarteten Ergebnis doch sehr zufrieden und zeige euch darum heute diese ganz in weiß gehaltene Weihnachtskarte! :-)

Sometimes things doesn't turn out the way you expect.... Like this LED-card.
I had the idea of light shining through all these little open dots in the die-cut... but these little bulbs had n't enough diffusion of light for my idea! But the position of the six light-dots look like an optical enlargement of the little snowflake.  So the mass of holes turned out as a nice snow flurry!
Now I'm happy with the unexpected result and I can present this white-on-white christmas-card! :-)

Vor einiger Zeit hab ich mehrere Digistamps coloriert, aber nicht gleich allen ein Karten-Zuhause gegönnt. Dieser arme kleine Narwal lag daher immer noch einsam & verlassen in meinem "noch-zu-verwerkeln-Kistchen" rum...
Und weil er ja eigentlich ein ganz vergnügter Geselle ist, hab ich ihm jetzt sogar ein Kärtchen mit "Auslauf" (oder eher Bewegungsfreiheit) gemacht - auf dass er für lange Zeit da glücklich ist, viel lacht und Fröhlichkeit verbreitet! :-)

Some time ago I colored several digistamps, but not every one got a new home on a card immediatelly. This poor little narwhale was laying lonely and left-alone in my "things-to-use-soon-box"...
It's such an cute and usually happy critter, so I made a card with some "space to move" - hope it will be happy for a long time there, lough a lot and spread lightheartness! :-)

Meine geliebten Windräder kamen schon eine Weile nicht mehr zum Einsatz. Das musste geändert werden!

Sich drehende Windräder sind realistischer als starre - daher durfte  das Rad dieses Mal als Spinning-Element auf die Karte mit drauf!

I havn't used the lovely Pinwheels for a while. Needed to change this!
Turning wheels are more realistic than  fixed ones - so I used it as a spinning-element this time!
