Stella in action 2017/08

Ich hab in den letzten beiden Wochen bei der Rainbow Maker Online Card Class mitgemacht und als meine Tochter Stella (7 / *2010/05-29) mich im Farbrausch gesehen hat, war es um sie geschehen und sie wollte mitmachen! Diesmal hatte sie sogar einen ganz konkreten Anlaß zum Basteln: der Geburtstag ihrer Freundin Emmy!
Ink-Smooshing & Heat-Embossing sind beides Techniken, die sie schon ganz alleine hinbekommt und so blieb mir nicht viel anderes zu tun, als ihr bei der Material-Auswahl etwas zu helfen / Vorschläge machen, welche Stempel, Stencil & Stanzen eventuell zusammen passen könnten. - Ihre getroffene Auswahl und das, was sie damit gemacht hat ist toll, findet ihr nicht auch!?

I participated in the Online Card Classses - Rainbow Maker during the last weeks. When my daughter Stella (7 / *2010/05-29) saw me working with all these colors she wanted to craft too! This time she had a great reason: the birthday-party of her friend Emmy!

Ink-smooshing & heat embossing are both techniques she can practice on her own and so the only thing I had to do was to help a little bit with the selection of the material / offer some stamps, stencils and dies. Her choice and the work work she did with it is awesome, isn't it?

Translation: "Geburtstagskind" = "birthday child".

Stella first diecut her front panel with a stitched rectangle-die from LawnFawn in my CuttleBug, adhered it with some tape on the craft mat and then she did some ink-smooshing with Distress Inks and the help of an acrylic block (like Laura Bassen did in the Online Card Class on Day 3). This gave her a bit more control over the position of the inks to prevent muddy brown areas.
After everything was dry she took the cross-stitched heart-stencil and an embossing-ink dabber and inked it up, then put the white embossing powder there and melted it.
The sentiment (from Stampin'Up) was stamped and also heat embossed in white.
To get this little sentiment-paper straight, I helped her a little bit with the cutting machine (to get the first cut straight, the other three were easy then for doing it alone).
She glued everything together (front panel with tape runner and sentiment with 3D-pads) and wrote a personal message for her friend inside.
 

(Ok... the outside looks better than her handlettering inside - but hey, she just finished the first class of school!)

Ok - I found my mistake! My browser opened the challenge from 2016 and for sure - it was closed yet! Stella will be happy when I can tell her I had the right ending-date in my mind...
