K1-996 - Wonderful World |
Hey! Welcome to the reminder-post for the Uniko September/October 2018 Challenge!
It's autumn time!
I'm not a big fan of cold and rainy weather, but when colourful leaves are entlightened with sunshine I really LOVE the season!
So our current Challenge picture inspired me to do something with the red leaves...

So our current Challenge picture inspired me to do something with the red leaves...
I hadn't used a die for the circle shape, cause I wanted to let some of the leaves hang over the edge, so I had to do old fashioned compass and straight-edge construction combined with some fussycutting...
For a better contrast I heat-embossed the area beneath the place where I planned to adhere the circle and also the sentiment. Both times I used a sparkling black embossing powder. My wreth is adhered with dimensional pads and then embellished with some clear rhinestones.
Not more, cause I wanted to keep it CAS!

What a beautiful stamp you used here. Simple layout and such a great sentiment. Thanks for sharing at ATSM this week.
AntwortenLöschenThis is a really pretty card. I see the circle shape and the wreath makes a heart shape; but I was searching to find the diamond shape, then on the close up view I realized that the 3 gems in the bling formed a diamond shape! I can't believe it took me that long...lol!
AntwortenLöschenThanks for joining us at Addicted To CAS.
Doni, your comment made me smile...
LöschenIn fact - I havn't planned to used a diamond shape - neither rhombus nor diamond rock. I was inspired by the word diamond to use lots of gemstones = faux brillinats = cut diamonds.
I hadn't a closer look on the DT cards before (sometimes they inspire me too much and I have problems to find my own design ;-) ). So I havn't seen all the rhombus-cards before. But now I've seen them all and learned something: the translation for the German word "Raute" is not only rhombus but also diamond. ;-)
Well done with cutting that circle Weibke, you must have very steady hands!
AntwortenLöschenThanks for sharing with us at ATSM too. :)
Yes Julie, I just love fussy cutting! ;-)
LöschenA perfect card, love it :)
