In den Tiefen unserer Schränke finden sich ja manchmal richtige kleine Schätze!
Ich bewahre dort mein ältestes* Stempelset auf: ein Set mit Peanut-Figuren! Am linken Rand sieht man sie - rote Rubberstamps aufgeklebt auf einer Art ganz dickem, lila Moosgummi.
   * Ich hab dieses Set in den späten Achtzigern oder frühen Neunzigern gehauft!

Auf besonderen Wunsch hin, hab ich das Set mal wieder herausgekramt und eine ganz individuelle Geburtstagskarte damit gewerkelt.

In the depth of our cabinets there are some hidden treasures!
I store my oldest* stamp set there: a set with characters of the Peanuts! On the left edge you can see them - red rubberstamps mounted on a kind of very thick, purple funfoam.
   * I bought this set in the late eighties or early nineties I think!

By special request I searched out the set once again and made this very individual birthday card.

Die Scene im Detail:
Snoopy liegt noch ganz entspannt, fast schlafend, auf seinem Häuschen, wird gerade von seinem besten  Freund Woodstock geweckt.

Auch wenn Schroeder etwas im Hintergrund steht, spielt er ganz hingebungsvoll schon mal ein Geburtstagsständchen, das ein zentrales Element der Szene ist - dargestellt mit großen, schimmernden Noten in der großen Sprechblase, ganz im Comic-Style. (Und ja, die in den Peanut Comics sind meist rechteckiger!)

Charlie Brown steht ganz links und beobachtet seine Freunde noch abwartend, ist aber sicher sofort bereit zum Gratulieren, wenn Snoopy es ist!
Pig Pen, der kleine Schmutzfink steht ganz ungeduldig mit ein paar Blümchen da und wird von Peppermint Patty (oder wie Marcie immer sagt "Sir") dezent darauf hingewiesen, dass er noch einen Moment warten soll, da Schroder noch musiziert und Snoopy noch nicht mal aufgestanden ist...
Ganz vorne sitzt Linus van Pelt mit seiner Schmusedecke (er ist für mich ein Sinnbild für "das kleine Kind"). Auch er wartet, ähnlich wie Charlie Brown, noch ab, bis die Party richtig losgeht...

Dazu hab ich den aufmunternden Spruch "Sei einfach du selbst, alle anderen gibt es schon" gewählt, der passt perfekt, oder?

K1-1164 - Musical Life / Uniko-Intro (1-III)

I made three cards for today. The links to the other cards you can find below in the DT-list.

For my third card I combined the new Background Bulders Classics with the previously released stamp set "Life is a song".

I added two lines of notes - both with the same song. To affirm the sentence "Life is better with music" I added red rhinestones as notes to the musically (or rhythmic) curved lines.

The notes are from the French folk or children's song "Alouette, gentille alouette".
My husband whistled and sang this song for our kids for many years and now Stella, my daughter (9), learned to play it on her double bass.

I like it, cause the melody is very lighthearted (although the text is hard for the lark (= alouette in French), cause it will be plucked).
I thought it gives some extra interest to the card to use the bass clef instead of the "usual" treble clef, so I copied the notes out of one of her bass-songbooks.

I have to say a double "Thank you" to my husband!

• He teached me (and the rst of the family) this song years ago.
• When he saw the stamp set, he immediatelly saw the stave there and so he inspired me to create this card.

Was wäre ein Leben ohne Musik? Egal, was man gerne hört - mit einem Lieblingssong oder einer tollen Melodie im Ohr, läuft vieles besser!
Das ist wohl der Grund, warum ich das noch recht neue Stempelset "Life is a Song" von Uniko so gerne mag!

What would life be without music? It's not important what kins of music you like - with a favorite song or melody almost everything is easier!
Maybe that's the reason why I love this pretty new stamp set "Life is a song" from Uniko so much!

Über die Karte:
Ja, hier ging es mal wieder recht chaotisch zu!
Es war ein erster Versuch, die Brusho Pigment-Pulver mit einer Stencil und klarer Embossing-Paste zu kombinieren.
Ich bin von den intensiven Farben ganz begeistert! Passend zu diesen lebhaften Farben und der verwendeten Equalizer-Stencil hab ich mich dann für den Text entschieden. Zur optischen Verstärkung der Farben hab ich mein Aquarellpapier erst auf einen schwarzen Cardstock und dann erst auf der weißen Karte befestigt.

About this card:
Yes! This was a messy job once more!
It was my first try to combine Brusho pigment powders with a stencil and a clear embossing paste.
I'm thrilled by the intensity of the colours! Fitting to the bright and lively colours and the used Equalizer stencil I picked the setiment. For an optical increase I put my watercolour paper on a black cardstock and then on the white cardbase.

Über die Karte:
Inspiriert hat mich hierzu eine online-Suche nach möglichen Färbungen für Equaliser...
Diesmal hab ich Glossy Accents über die Uniko-Stencil Equaliser gegeben, das dann mit Glitter bestreut und mit einer weiteren Schicht Glossy Accents die Glitter-Partikel fixiert.
Gitarre stempeln, kolorieren und ausschneiden, Text stempeln und heiß embossen und Karte zuschneiden konnte ich alles wieder in der Trocknungszeit erledigen! → Milo-Mittagschlaf perfekt ausgenutzt! 😉

About this card:

I was inspired from different results of an online-search for colouring-possibilities for equalisers...
This time I put Glossy Accents over  the Uniko-Stencil Equaliser, then I added the glitter and saved all the particles with a second layer of Glossy Accetns.
Stamp, colour and fussycut the guitar, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment and cut the cardbase was all done during the drying time! → Perfect use of Milos napping-time! 😉
