Heute startet die neue Challenge bei Challenge Up Your Life!
Als GastDesigner lade ich euch ganz herzlich ein, euch vom DesignTeam inspirieren zu lassen und mitzumachen!

Es scheint fast so, als sei ich noch nicht ganz aus dem Weihnachts-Modus draußen - oder gar schon wieder drin! Immerhin ist in weniger als 11 Monaten schon wieder das Fest der Feste!
Und irgendwann hatte ich mir mal vorgenommen, nicht immer erst im November mit den Karten anzufangen, die einem dann am Ende ja doch immer wieder nicht reichen wollen.... Warum also nicht jetzt damit starten, wo man eine so gut passende Challenge dafür hat und es draußen noch kaltes Wetter gibt, das einen eher in die richtige Stimmung versetzt?

Daher gibt es heute für euch gleich zwei abstrakte Weihnachtsbaum-Karten, die im Nu gemacht sind!
Ich habe dafür ein bereits bedrucktes Kraftpapier verwendet, die unterschiedlich großen "Tannenbäume" zugeschnitten, räumlich zueinander versetzt aufgeklebt, die beiden im Vordergrund mit unaufdringlich dünne 1 mm Pads. Dann noch den größten und prächtigsten mit einem Glitzerstift verziert und alles mit einer handgezeichneten Scribble-Line gerahmt. Das lockert die strenge Geometrie der Bäume etwas auf. Dafür hab ich dann komplett auf andere Verzierungen wie Pailletten oder ähnliches verzichtet.

As GuestDesigner I invite you to be inspired by the DesignTeam and to participate! 

It seems as I'm still stuck in the Christmas mood - or just jumped in again! At least there are less than 11 months left until we celebrate the big ceremony again!
Once I resolved to start earlier in the year - not be delayed until November, cause there are never enough cards left in the end...
Why not start now, with a fitting Challenge, and with cold weather outside for an easy mood-based crafting session?

So I show you two abstract christmas tree cards which are made in no time at all!
I used a printed Kraftpaper, cut out different sizes of "firs" and adhered them in a dimensional order, the two in the front with decent 1 mm pads. The biggest and most splendid one I decorated with a gimmer brush marker and I framed the card with a hand-drawn scribble line. I think this line loosens the strict geometry of the trees a bit. Therefor I resigned for all other embellishments like sequins or other stuff.

The sentiment is from a German Christmas Carol. The translation is "Oh Christmas Tree".

Wie schon bei "Dollet Weihnachten" hab ich auch diese Karte fünf Mal gemacht.

Auch hier sind die Front und die Rückseite nicht exakt gleich breit (maximal 2,94" = 7,5 cm), diesmal ist das Tape jedoch im selben Türkisblau wie der Wichtel und der sichtbare Streifen fällt schmäler aus, als bei der vorherigen Karte.

Like the "Dollet Weihnachten" I made this card five times.

Also here the front and the back aren't the exact same size (in maximum 2,94" = 7,5 cm), but this time the tape is turquoise like the gnome and the visible strip is a bit smaller than in the previous card.

Hab noch einige weitere Weihnachtskarten für euch...
Als diese Wichtel von Woodware hier bei mir eintrafen, war ich erst ein klein wenig erschrocken, da ich sie mir irgendwie kleiner vorgestellt hatte - aber sie passen hervorragend auf Slimline-Karten (Format 3,0" x 8,5" = 7,7 x 21 cm)!

I have some more Christmas Cards for you...
When these Gnomies from Woodware arrived here in my home I was scared a bit, cause in my imagination they were much smaller - but they fit perfect on slimline cards (sized 3,0" x 8,5" = 7,7 x 21 cm)!

I finished them with the dialect stamps from Create A Smile!
Take a look (and an explanation what this dialect stuff is about) from the post of yesterday "Wie schön dat glitzat!"!

The translation of the German sentiment "Et weihnachtet janz schön dolle!" (Berlin dialect) = "Es weihnachtet ganz schön heftig!" (standard German) = "It's christmassy like crazy!"
"Dollet Weihnachten" may be translated to "Awesome Christmas".

Ich mache ich ja fast ausschließlich Einzelkarten, daher ist für mich eine Karte, die ich in 5-facher Ausfertigung herstelle schon eine richtige Massenproduktion...
Aber im Dezember fehlte mir plötzlich jede Menge Zeit und ich brauchte dringend noch einige Weihnachtskarten... Somit hab ich für mich den Kompromiss geschlossen, dass ein Design mal fünf (hier auf dem Bild fehlt bereits eine, die da schon auf dem Weg war) noch akzeptabel ist!

Die Front der Karte ist ein klein wenig schmaler (2,75" = 7,0 cm) als der hintere Teil (der hat die oben genannten 3,0" = 7,7 cm), damit das goldene Tape bereits von vorne sichtbar ist. Es hat eine tolle Optik und sieht aus wie mattes, gebürstetes Metall.

Most of the time I make one-of-a-kind cards, so making a card 5 times is kind of a mass-production for me...
But last December suddenly I recognized time flew by and I needed some more Christmas cards... I made the compromise with myself and decided 5 cards of one design (here one is missing, it was already on it's way) is still ok.

The front of the card is a little bit smaller than the back (which has the mentioned 8,5" = 7,7 cm) to catch a first look on the golden tape immediatelly. It has a great look like a matte, brushed metal.

Many (or most?) Germans decorate their trees usually right before Christmas (23th or 24th). That's still a bit more time to wait... but the fir here on the card looks like it's finished yet, right?

Am letzten Sonntag wurde bei uns wieder auf die Winterzeit umgestellt - und plötzlich ist es soviel früher dunkel! - Das ist immer ein ganz deutliches Zeichen, dass Weihnachten naht!
Spätestens jetzt wird das hier jedem bewusst!

Zeit für Weihnachtskarten!
Den Anfang macht hier jetzt ein ganz einfaches Kärtchen, das so ganz anders ist, als das, was ich sonst so mache... ich hab mal ein "fertiges" Produkt in den Fokus gesetzt. Es ist eine Art kleiner Deko-Anhänger aus weißem Papier mit goldenen Punkten in Form eines Tannenbaums.
Um der Karte noch etwas selbstgemachtes hinzuzufügen, hab ich das Innere der Karte mit einem schönen Textstempel von Uniko gestempelt  und embossed.

The first one is a very simple little card, which is very different to what I usually make... I used a "finished" product as focal point.

It's a kind of decorative tag made of white paper with golden dots in the shape of a christmas fir.
To add something selfmade, I stamped and embossed the inside of the card with a beautiful sentiment from Uniko!

K1-1523 - Abstract Christmas Tree / UNIKO Intro-Day #4-2

Hier kommt meine zweite Karte der heutigen Neuheiten-Vorstellung! 

Diesmal hab ich einen ganz untypischen, abstrakten und dadurch sehr modernen "Weihnachtsbaum" gestaltet. 🎄
Da ja immer mehr Menschen aus ökologischen Gesichtspunkten auf einen klassischen, echten Baum verzichten und nicht jeder die KunstTannen mag, gab es in den letzten Jahren schon immer mehr Ideen für Alternativen. 
In 3D stelle ich mir diesen "Baum" als eine Art Stehle vor, mit zwei großen runden Öffnungen, in die man Kugeln oder wie hier Engel hängen kann. Um doch ein wenig Tannen-Gefühl zu bekommen, können an mehreren Stellen kleinere Zweige befestigt werden.
Schlicht, wieder verwendbar, umwelt-freundlich.

Wäre das was für euch? Oder doch lieber eine klassische Tanne?

Here comes my second card for todays newness introduction!

This time I designed a very uncommon, abstract and very modern kind of "Christmas Tree".
More and more people abdicate classic, real christmas trees cause of  ecological reasons, but not everybody like faux trees, so during the last few years came up more and more alternative ideas.
In 3D I imagine my "tree" as a kind of a "Stehle" (sorry, couldn't find a translation, so I have this → link for you to see what I mean.), with two big, round openings where you can hang up ornaments or angles. To gain a bit of fir-feeling, there are some places to add smaller branches.
Classy, re-usable, eco-friendly.

What do you think? Would you use such an alternative to a tree or do you prefer a classic fir?

K1-1520 - Christmas Cones / UNIKO Intro Day #2-2

Meine heutige zweite Karte mit den "Christmas Sentiments"!
Die ist klassisch, schlicht und hat dank des gold embossten Textes doch etwas Besonderes!

My second card for today with the "Christmas Sentiments"!
It is classic, simple but has something special with the gold embossed sentiment!

K1-1245 - fröhliche Weihnacht überall

Heute wird's hier auf dem Blog etwas weihnachtlicher...
Das erste Kärtchen ist mit Material von "Create A Smile Stamps" gemacht.
Anstelle der Weltkugel hab ich hier einfach symbolisch für ein weltweites Fest den gestanzten Tannenbaum in die Halterung eingepasst - passend zum Liedtext von "Fröhliche Weihnacht überall".

Today it's going to get a bit more christmas-like here on the blog...
My first card is made with supplies from "Create A Smile Stamps".
Instead of the globe I put the die cut out christmas tree in the holding as a symbol for a worldwide celebration - fitting to the text of the christmas song
"Fröhliche Weihnacht überall" = "Merry Christmas everywhere".
(The German sentiment has the same translation.)

Zur Herstellung gibt es hier gar nicht so viel zu sagen...
Der Text und die Kugel-Halterung sind in schwarzer Tinte gestempelt. Halterung und "Boden" sind mit Aquarell Buntstiften coloriert und dann mit wenig Wasser vermalt.
Der Baum ist aus grünem Papier gestanzt. Damit er passt, musste ich ihn in der Höhe um ein Segment kürzen (was einfach war, da die Segmente eine Prägung besitzen, die einen Schnitt ganz einfach machen!). Der Stamm ist anschließend aus Kraftpapier angepasst worden.
Zur Dekoration hab ich einen dünnen goldenen Metall-Zwirn um den Baum gewickelt und ihn mit roten Glitzer-Punkten fixiert. Als Kontrast noch einige gelbe mini-Sternchen aufgeklebt.
Schließlich den Baum platziert und fertig war die Karte!

There isn't much to tell...
The sentiment and the holding were stamped in black ink. The holding and the "floor" were coloured with watercolour crayons and then blended with a bit of water.
The tree is cut out of green cardstock. The original one was too big, so I had to cut of one segment (that was very easy, cause the segments are embossed, perfect to cut is smaller). The trunk I cut out of kraft paper and made it fit in the new place.
The embellishments of the tree are easy too: some thin golden twine wrapped around the tree and fixed with some red glitter glue-drops. As a contrast I added some tiny yellow stars.
Finally placed the tree and the card was finnished!
