Hufeisen sind ja nicht nur für Pferde-Fans ein ganz deutliches Symbol für Glück.
Auf dieser Karte sind sie gut sichtbar bereits im Text integriert und dazu auch welche im Shaker versteckt!

Horse shoes are a clear symbol for luck - at least here in Germany - also in your country? Please tell me in the comments if you have known about this meaning before.
On this card they are visible in the sentiment and also hidden in the shaker! 

The translation of the German word "Glückwunsch" = felicitation or congratulation. 
I liked to use this word here, cause it has two times an U, perfect shape for horseshoes! But I haven't a "real" horseshoe die, so I made them all with the letter die, used silver paper to let them look more metallic and also to highlight them.

K1-767 - One Red Sock

[lustige Geschichte]
Manchmal hab ich nicht genug Zeit, um eine Karte an einem Tag gleich fertig zu machen. Diesmal war's eine Shaker-Karte, die ich für die  "Task for Two" Challenge #68 Rot-Blau-Weiß gemacht habe.
Ich wollte eigentlich eine Maschine voll weißer Wäsche machen und dazu einen Text für eine Valentinskarte, so etwas in der Art von 'My love goes round and round'...
Aber dann ist ein ganz unschöner Unfall mit der Karte passiert...! ;-)
Ich hatte also all die weißen Teile in die Maschine gemacht, die Tür zu und dann...  am nächsten morgen war alles pink!!! Den Grund dafür hab ich erst herausgefunden, als ich den Maschineninhalt geschüttelt hab - da hatte sich eine ROTE SOCKE mit reingemogelt! :-P Welch Dilemma!
Jetzt musste dringend ein neuer Kartentext her! Im Gedenken an all die versteckten, falschfarbenen Socken in aller Welts Waschmaschinen hab ich mich für "You color my World" entschieden. :-D
Wie gut, dass es wenigstens eine rote Socke war... so passt sie immerhin noch zur Challenge, denn Rosa ist eigentlich nur ganz helles Rot, oder?  ;-)

[funny story]
Sometimes I have't enough time to finish a card on the one day I've started it. This time I made a shaker-card for the "Task for Two" Challenge #68 red-blue-white.
I planned to make a machine with white stuff and a Valentine's sentiment like 'My love goes round and round' or something like this...
But then, there happened an ugly accident with my card...! ;-)
I've put the white pieces into my machine, shut the door and then... over night... everything turned pink!!! After I shaked all the pieces well I found the reason - there was a RED SOCK inside! :-P What a dilemma!
I urgently needed a new sentiment! As a statement for all these hidden wrong-colorful socks in the washing-machines of the world I've choosen "You color my World". :-D
The good thing was, it was a red sock... so it still fit into the challeng, cause pink is only a really light shade of red, isn't it? ;-)

Cards und More #20 - Top 3 2017

Ich habe folgende drei Karten eingereicht:
K1-800 - Konfirmations-Fische - Ich mag sie einfach immer noch! Und das Fest war toll!
K1- 767 - One Red Sock  - Sie ist so schön "aus dem Leben gegriffen"
K1-832 - LED-Rainbow - Der Regenbogen ist eine meiner aufwändigeren LED-Karten und hat einfach einen tollen Effekt (außerdem sind eh alle LED-Karten super)!
 

Die Auswahl war definitiv nicht einfach! Beim Durchschauen der Karten des letzten Jahres kamen sooo viele Erinnerungen... für wen man eine Karte gemacht hat, welche Techniken und Materialien zum Einsatz kamen... und viele andere Besonderheiten drum herum...

K1-726 - Shaker-Karte - Hoffnung

Während der Online Card Class - Heat Wave habe ich ja mal wieder viel herum-experimentiert. Unter anderem ist dabei der Hintergrund entstanden, den ich heute endlich verwendet habe.
Ich hatte eine Stencil mit Versamark und zwei unterschiedlichen Embossing-Pulvern verwendet (die beiden da entstandenen Hintergründe warten noch auf ihren Einsatz...). Da am Ende dann noch so viel Tinte an der Schablone dran war, hab ich diese auf ein weiteres Papier "gestempelt" und die Mischung der beiden Embossing-Pulver auch gleich darauf verteilt, das ganze dann erhitzt und da hatte ich diesen coolen Hintergrund! :-)
Das ist doch mal ein effektives Verwenden von "Resten", oder?!

During the time of the Online Card Class - Heat Wave I made several technique-tests. One of the results you can see here in the background-layer of the card I made today.
I used a stencil with VersaMark Ink and two different Embossing-Powders (the two background-papers I made still wait for their use...). In the end there was so much ink remaining on the stencil and so I "stamped" it on another piece of paper and also used the rest of the embossing-powder-mixture to cover it, heated it up and got this cool background! :-)
This was an effective use of the remaining stuff, right?!

I'm still inspired by the Lessons of the Online Card Class - HeatWave and working with the techniques I've seen there...

Ideen zu dieser Karte:
Der Embossing-Pulver-Mix ist nicht ganz homogen gemischt - es gibt Bereiche mit eher grünem oder eher goldenen Anteil. Ich wollte gerne die große gestanzte Blüte aus dem Stanzen-Set verwenden - am liebsten in schwarz (auch embossed), um nicht zu viel Farb-Unruhe zu erzeugen.
Das hatte irgendwie etwas von einer Trauerkarte... Dazu wiederum passte das Wort Hoffnung ganz gut... Und edles Gold in Kombination mit Grün als Farbe der Hoffnung passte da auch... So entstanden und ergaben sich die einzelnen Bausteine der Karte irgendwie fast von alleine!
Ob man nun eine Shaker-Karte unbedingt als Trauerkarte verwenden möchte ist nun noch eine Frage, die vorerst offen bleibt, aber man kann dieses edle Stück ja auch für andere hoffnungsvolle Anlässe verwenden... :-)

Ideas to this card:
The mixture of embossing-powders isn't equal - some areas ore more greenish, others are more golden. I had planned to use the big die-cut-flower - preferably in black and heat-embossed to avoid color-confusions.
Looked a bit like a condolence-card then... The word "Hoffnung" = "Hope" would fit to this and also the colors - gold is just noble and green is the color of hope... The parts of the card developed and arose nearly by themself!
If it is suitable to use a shaker-card as sympathy-card is the last question to think about - but there might be other hopeful reasons to use this precious card... :-)

In Wirklichkeit ist die "Blume" des Traumfängers nicht so rein-golden, wie sie in dem Bild wirkt, die Farbe geht eher in Richtung blasseres Hellgrün... Ich hab mehrmals versucht, sie besser aufzunehmen, hat leider nicht geklappt. Sorry.

In reality, the "Flower" of the catcher isn't as gold as the pic shows here, it's going up into a pale light green... I tried several pics but couldn't catch the right color. Sorry.

So, jetzt gibt's mal was ganz anderes! Etwas, was nicht direkt mit der OCC-CAS-4 zu tun hat! Gut, es war Reste-Verwertung der letzten Kurs-Karte... und sie ist auch eine CAS-Karte...

Herausgekommen ist eine schlichte Schüttelkarte.

 

Now I have something totally different! Something, what hasn't any contact to the OCC-CAS-4! O.K., it was snippet-recycling of my last card for class... and it's a CAS-card...

The final result is a simple shaker-card.
