Manchmal trudelt ein Material hier bei mir ein, das regelrecht danach schreit, verbastelt zu werden!
Ich bewahre sie bis zur Verwendung in einer (inzwischen mal wieder viel zu vollen) kleinen Kiste auf... Wehe, einer kommt auf die Idee, davon etwas weg werfen zu wollen! Das sind alles Stücke mit einer kleinen Geschichte!

Oft sind es besondere Papiere oder Folien mit tollen Mustern oder Strukturen oder auch mal, wie in diesem Fall, ein einfaches Stück WashiTape!
Diese Materialien ergeben tolle Brennpunkte, da man sie oft nur in kleiner Menge zur Verfügung hat und daher sehr gezielt verwendet!

Ich liebe es, Karten um ein besonderes Stück, Thema oder Bild (auch gestempelte) herum zu basteln!
Bin nur ich so ein Nerd oder geht's euch genauso?

Sometimes a special material appears and it's yelling to be used!
I store them in a (in the meantime very good filled) little box... 
Woe betide the one who asks me to throw something out of this box away! These are all pieces with a little individual story behind the scene!

Often it's a special piece of paper or foil with a beautiful pattern or texture or, like in this case, a simple piece of WashiTape!
These materials are amazing focal points cause you often have only scraps or a small amount of them and so you use them advisedly! 

I love this - to create a card around a special piece, theme or picture (also stamped ones stamped)!
Hope I'm not the only nerd! Are you the same?

K1-1557 - LED-Lavalampen

Seit ich diesen Lavalampen-Stempel in meinem Adventskalender ausgepackt hab, will ich mit ihm eine LED-Karte machen! Anfang Januar kam ich dann dazu. 😀
Wegen Corona musste der Empfänger bis jetzt warten, eh er sie bekam - und damit auch ihr, da ich sie nicht früher posten wollte! 
Hat zwar (da ich längere Zeit keine LED-Karten gemacht hatte) einen zweiten Anlauf gebraucht, bis die Technik samt Schalter meinen Vorstellungen entsprach, aber jetzt bin ich happy mit dem Ergebnis!

Der Clou: Nachdem man das kleine Tag herausgezogen hat (= die Sicherung gegen unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten), muss man auf die Stelle mit dem Stecker drücken. Erst dadurch leuchten dann alle drei Lampen - perfekt für Empfänger, die vor Energie regelrecht sprühen! 😉

In the moment I got this lava lamp stamp out of my advent calendar I want to ´create a LED card with it! At the beginning of January I could start the project. 😀
Ccause of Corona, the recipient had to wait until now to get it - and also you had to wait, cause I didn't want to post it before he got it! 
I needed a second try to create it (I hadn't made LED cards for a much too long time) until all techniqual stuff and also the switch worked like I planned it, but now I'm happy with the result!

The special clou: After the tag is moved out (= the protection against unwanted switch on) you need to press the place with the plug. Then all three lamps start to shine - perfect for recipients with lots of personal energy!  😉

Ich hab eine Aquarell-Landschaft mit glitzerndem Sternenhimmel gemacht. Ergänzt habe ich die Karte mit einem silbernen embossten Weihnachts-Gruß.

Hufeisen sind ja nicht nur für Pferde-Fans ein ganz deutliches Symbol für Glück.
Auf dieser Karte sind sie gut sichtbar bereits im Text integriert und dazu auch welche im Shaker versteckt!

Horse shoes are a clear symbol for luck - at least here in Germany - also in your country? Please tell me in the comments if you have known about this meaning before.
On this card they are visible in the sentiment and also hidden in the shaker! 

The translation of the German word "Glückwunsch" = felicitation or congratulation. 
I liked to use this word here, cause it has two times an U, perfect shape for horseshoes! But I haven't a "real" horseshoe die, so I made them all with the letter die, used silver paper to let them look more metallic and also to highlight them.

Bei einem anderen Bastelprojekt blieb kürzlich ein Stück silberne Prägefolie übrig... zu wenig, um es zurück in die Packung zu legen, aber zu viel, um es einfach nur wegzuwerfen! Damit es nicht (wie so viele andere Papiere zuvor) in irgendeiner Scrap-Kiste verschwindet, hab ich es gleich verbastelt!

Der englische Text "For unto us a child is born" heißt übersetzt "Denn uns ist ein Kind geboren". 

As leftover from another crafting project I had a piece of silver embossing foil... not enough to keep it in the package but too much to throw it away! To avoid to loose it in a scraps-box (like many more papers in the past) I used it immediately!

Kennst du die Brusho-Farben? Oder andere Pigment-Pulver?
Dafür, dass ich sie eigentlich total klasse finde, verwende ich sie leider viel zu selten... Aber man hat ja noch so viele andere Farben - und die sind auch alle toll!
Hier hab ich verschiedne Techniken kombiniert - Brushos & Stanzen & Heiß embossen - um diese CAS-Karte mit den schönen Kompliment "Du erhellst meinen Tag" zu gestalten.

Do you know the Brusho colours? Or other pigment powders?

Considering that I really like them I unfortunately use them far too seldom... But there are so many other colours - and they are great too!

Here I combined different techniques - Brushos & diecutting & heat embossing - to create a CAS card with a nice compliment.

K1-1249 - Magic of Christmas

In den letzten Jahren hatte ja für den Weihnachtsmarkt und das Teltower Hanami-/Kirschblütenfest sehr viele Karten vorbereitet. Wenn man aber jede freie Minute fürs Basteln investiert, kommt man irgendwann nicht mehr mit Posten hinterher!
Nach den Märkten lief das normale Leben (und Basteln) weiter und auch da fand ich oft nicht die Gelegenheiten, alles nachzuholen... 
In den Monaten seit Beginn der Pandemie hab ich mir mal die Zeit genommen, vieles neu zu ordnen. Habe auch meine Bestände an Karten und Bildern gesichtet und versucht herauszufinden, was ich hier noch gar nicht gezeigt hatte!

Besonder Weihnachtskarten postet man das Jahr über ja eher selten... - Da ich in den letzten Tagen hier schon wegen der neuen Uniko-Release viele weihnachtliche Karten gebastelt und gezeigt habe, bleib ich gleich mal dabei und ich zeig noch weitere! 🎄🌟😀

During the last years I made many cards for our Christmas Market and also the Hanami-/CherryBlossom festival of Teltow.
But if you use every free minute for crafting, there is no time left for posting!
After the markets the usual life with (and crafting) went on and I often couldn't find the possibilites to update everything...
During the monthes of the Pandemic I took the time to reorganize a lot. I also looked through all my card boxes and picture folders and tried to figure out, what I havn't posted yet.

In special way most of us don't post many Christmas Cards during the year... - But right now I prepared and posted many christmassy cards for the current Uniko Release, so I stick to this and post some more! 🎄🌟😀

Eigentlich sind Pfauen-Männchen sehr pompöse Tiere, ihre Federn bestehen aber hauptsächlich aus kalten Farben - Blau-, Türkis- und Grün-Tönen. Mein hier verwendeter Pfau selbst ist ganz schlicht gehalten, nur seine Augenflecken im Gefieder leuchten wie ein Regenbogen!
Ein anderes schlimmerndes Detail befindet sich im Kartentext in dem in dreifach heiß embossten Wort "einmalig" in Silber.

Actually male peacocks are very ostentatious animals, most of their feathers have cold colour shades of blues, turquoises and greens.
My peacock on the card itself is simply sober, only the eyespots in its plumage is sparkling like a rainbow.
Another sparkling detail is in the sentiment in the tripple heat embossed wort "unique" in silver.

The translations of the German sentiment "Du bist einmalig" = "You are unique".
