Meine heutige Karte ist einfarbig in golden gehalten.
In echt unterscheiden sich die verschiedenen Goldtöne nicht so deutlich voneinander wie es in den Bildern scheint (manchmal schon verrückt, welche optischen Illusionen beim fotografieren entstehen!).

Ostern rückt langsam näher... da liegt es nahe, sich ans Basteln von Osterkarten zu machen... Oder?

Über die Karte:
Heute hab ich eine Karte nur mit Produkten von Create A Smile Stamps gemacht.
Die Funky Fethers hab ich auf Vellum gestempelt, weiß embossed, auf der Rückseite mit Copic Markern koloriert und ausgeschnitten.
Das Ei ist eigentlich das Innenleben der Babyrassel aus dem Willkommen Baby Set. Ich hab es mit Oxide Inks koloriert und mit Nuvo Drops und Gelstiften verziert.
Aus den Crystal Letters hab ich  meinen Text gestempelt und dann mit Stabilo Markern die kleinen Fragmente koloriert. Um die Kristalle zum Leuchten zu bringen, hab ich sie anschließende noch mit einer Schicht Glimmer überzogen.
Jetzt waren alle Elemente fertig vorbereitet und mussten nur noch zusammengefügt werden!  Um das Federnest etwas flauschiger zu gestalten, hab ich noch einige echte, teilweise eingefärbte Federn zugefügt.

About this card:
For my new card I just used supplies from Create A Smile Stamps.
I stamped the Funky Feathers on vellum, heat embossed in white, coloured the backside witth Copic markers and fussycut them out.
The egg is actually the inside of a baby rattle out of the Welcome Baby Set. I coloured it with Oxide Inks and decorated it with Nuvo Drops and Gelly Rolls.
The sentiment is letter-stamped with the Crystal Letters and the little areas are coloured with Stabilo Markers. To make the crystals shine I added a layer of glimmer.
Now all the elements were ready and I just had to combine them on my card! To get a more fluffy nest of feathers I added some real feathers.

Über die Karte:
Das Herz ist aus weißem Papier ausgestanzt. Mit Hilfe des Mosaik-Gitters hab ich die Bruchstücke dann auf ein Stück Vellum aufgeklebt, anschließend mit Blending Tool eingefärbt und mit Wink of Stella beglittert, dann ausgeschnitten. Das Big&Bold "hugs" ist mit Pulver auf die Cardbase embossed.

About this card:

I diecut the heart out of white cardstock. With the help of the mosaic-grid I placed all pieces on a piece of vellum, colored them with a BlendingTool and a layer of clear Wink of Stella, then fussycut the heart. The Big&Bold "hugy" is heat embossed on the cardbase.

Über die Karte:
Ich hab die Herzen ausgestanzt,  dann den Schriftzug und die drei Mosaik-Gitter mit Liquid Platinum Embossingpulver überzogen. Um die Herzen einzusetzen hab ich von hinten an dem Papier ein breites transparentes Paketklebeband befestigt, dann von vorn die Herzgitter in die Öffnungen eingesetzt und angedrückt. Anschließend hab ich die Zwischenröume mit transparentem und rosafarbenem Glitzerkleber gefüllt. Um der Karte noch eine Art Rahmen zu geben, hab ich am oberen Rand ein Washi-Tape mit farblich passendem Text angebracht (der Text handelt passender Weise von Liebe & Freundschaft) und zum Schluß noch die Front mit 2mm 3D-Tape auf die Karte aufgeklebt.

About this card:

I diecut the hearts, then I heat embossed the sentiment and all tree mosaic-grids with liquid platinum. To adhere the hearts I fixed a translucent tape on the back of the paper, then put the heart grids in place and pressed them into the tape. I put translucent and pink glitter glue in the mosaic-holes. To frame the card I used wahsi tape with a fitting coloured sentiment on the top edge (the text is about love and friendshit - perfect for this card!) and to finish the card I adhered my front with 2mm 3D-tape on the cardbase.

K1-891 - Twinkle Twinkle little Star

Meine Testereien mit den Distress Oxide Inks dauern an... Aktuell hab ich eine Art (umgekehrte?) Resist-Technik am Wickel, die fantastische Effekte hervorbringt! In den Bildern seht ihr alle Schritte.
Wir singen fast jeden Abend beim Ins-Bett-bringen eine deutsche Version von "Twinkle twinkle little Star" für unsere Kindern - ich finde, das Lied (oder hier nur der Text) passt wunderbar zu diesen traumhaften Sternen! 

My testings with the Distress Oxide Inks are still continued.. Currently I love a kind of (inverse?) Resist Technique which generate fantastic effects! You can see all the steps in the pictures below.
Nearly every evening we sing a German version of "Twinkle twinkle little Star" during the go-to-bed-time for our kids - I think this song (or here only the text of it) fits perfect to these dreamlike stars!

Schon als ich vor langer Zeit diesen Crackle Background Stempel von "Waltzing Mouse Stamps" gekauft hab, hatte ich mal vor, eine Karte wie diese zu machen... Erst hatte ich noch keine Motive für "typische" Kirchenfester, später dann war die Idee wieder in Vergessenheit geraten.
Als wir am Sonntag auf unserem kleinen Teltower Weinachtsmarkt waren und die Fenster der Andreaskirche hell erleuchtet waren, kam mir die Idee wieder in den Sinn...
Und ja, ich hatte bei meinem Bastelzimmer-Umzug letzens den Stempel mal wieder in der Hand - das half sicher auch...

Long time ago I bought this Crackle background stamp from "Waltzing Mouse Stamps" and had the idea to create a card like this... I hadn't fitting stamps for "typical" church windows, later the idea got lost in the depth of my brain.
Last sunday we went to the little christmas market here in Teltow and I saw the illuminated windows of the Andreas Church and the idea was back!
And yes, I got my hands on the stamp during my craftspace move some weeks ago...

Translation of the German sentiment: "Möge das Wunder der ersten Weihnacht, Gottes guter Segen und der Friede des Herrn euch allezeit begleiten" = "May the wonder of that first Christmas, Gods good blessing and the Peace of the Lord be with you always"

Über die Karte:
Das "Fenster" ist mit einer der Platten aus dem "Embossing Diffuser Set´2" von Sizzix als Schablone zugeschnitten.
Zuerst hab ich das Motiv mit StazOn Tinte auf Vellum gestempelt und gut trocknen lassen! Anschließend mit VersaMark das Crackle-Muster darübergestempelt und Liquid Platinum EmbossingPulver aufgetragen. Da ich nur einen kleinen crackle-Stempel besitze, hab ich einen zweiten Abdruck gemacht und in einem weiteren Schritt die Nahtstelle mit der Punkte-Bordüre in Gold kaschiert. Anschließend hab ich alles mit Stabilo-Markern coloriert (aufgrund des Crackles ging das super-fix, da keine feinen Details mehr zu beachten waren!). Ich mag ja die Farbintensität dieser Marker auch auf normalem Papier schon sehr gerne - auf Vellum wirken sie fast noch besser. (Vielleicht ist das mit Beleuchtung von hinten noch steigerbar? Mein Hirn arbeitet schon an Ideen für neue LED-Karten...!)
Nachdem der Text gestempelt und die Ränder des Front-Layers mit einem gold-weiß gestreiften WashiTape verziert waren hab ich nur noch alles zusammengefügt.

About this card:

The "window" shape is cut with the help of one of the "Embossing Diffuser Set 2" plates from Sizzix. 
First I stamped the picture with StazOn Ink on Vellum and let it really dry! Later I layerd the crackle-stamp above with VersaMark Ink and added Liquid Platinum Embssing Powder. Cause I only have a small crackle stamp I had to use it twice. In another step I concealed the edgees behind the little dotty-border with gold embossing powder. I colored the whole window-sheet with Stabilo Markers (was a very quick coloring, cause the crackles avoid much details!). For their intense colores I love these Markers even on normal paper but on vellum they look simply great. (Might be amazing when enlightened from behind? - My brain just started to work on new ideas for LED-cards...!)
After I stamped the sentiment und decoratet the edges of the front layer with some gold and white striped WashiTape I simply had to put everything together.
