K1-448 - Get well

O.K. im ersten Moment dachte ich, "100% gestempelt", das ist ja eine einfache Aufgabe!
Aber dann hab ich angefangen, mich zu fragen... Was bedeutet das eigentlich? Nur stempeln... hmmm... o.K. kein Schablonieren, kein Prägen, keine Stanzen, keine Klammern, keine Pailletten, keine Bänder - soweit alles einfach.
Aber kein Kolorieren? keine handgezeichneten Linien? ... ???

O.K. in the first moment I thought, "100% stamped" is an easy challenge-theme!
But then I started to ask myself... What does it mean!? Only stamping... hmmm... o.k. - no stencils, no embossing-folders, no die-cuts, no brads, no sequins, no twine - easy up to here.
But no coloring? no hand-drawn lines? ... ???

Ich für mich hab entschieden, dass Heißprägen (Embossing) o.K. ist, da ja die Tinte gestempelt wird und dann erst das Pulver dazu kommt. Auch dezenter Gebrauch von  handgezogenen Linien sollte gehen. - Der Fokus ist der entscheidende Punkt, oder?

I decided that heat embossing should be ok, cause you stamp the ink before you put the powder on it. Also small use of hand drawn lines should be o.k. - The main-focus is the important point, isn't it?

Die Schwierigkeit bei dieser Karte war, dass ich gerne einen Stanzen-Schriftzug von Paper Smooches verwenden wollte. Um dies mit dem Challenge-Thema von Virginia's View zu vereinbaren, hab ich ihn also aus Moosgummi ausgestanzt und damit das VersaMark gestempelt und anschließend embossed (um ein wenig Dimension zu bekommen)...!

The difficulty for this card: I wanted to use a sentiment die-cut from Paper Smooches. To get it into the challenge-theme of Virginia's View I first die-cut it with fun-foam and used this piece to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink and then heat-embossed it (to get a little bit of dimension)...!

Das Vogel-Stempelset stand schon auf meiner Wunschliste, als ich es das erste Mal gesehen hab - jetzt hab ich es endlich hier und auch schon im Einsatz!
Ich weiß nicht genau warum, aber die Farben der aktuellen Stempelküchen-Challenge haben es mir angetan! Vielleicht, weil sie mich an Urlaub erinnern... Türkisblaues Meer oder alternativ Pool und Sonnenschein...! Großartig!
Daher sind die Piepmätze mal in den blauen Farbtopf geplumpst und haben glitzernd-gelbe Schnäbel erhalten... Der gesprenkelte Hintergrund erinnert mich an grünes Blattwerk im Baum - bei der Kleckerei mit den Farben waren die Vögel maskiert, umt sie sauber zu halten. In Aktion waren hier ein Mix aus Splatter-Stempel und klassischem selbst-splattern.

This sweet bird-stampset was on my wishlist from the first moment I saw it - now it arrived here in my crafting-area and came direktly onto the table for the first use!
I'm not sure why, but I love the color-combo of the current Stempelküchen-Challenge so much! Maybe these colors remind me of vacation... turquoise ocean or pool-water and sunshine...! Great!
So these birdies fell into a blue paint-pot and got some sparkling-yellow peckers... The splattered background reminds me of green leaves in a tree - during this process, the birds were masked to keep them clean.I used a mix of splatter-stamps and classical self-made splatters.

Today I remembered I made a making-off picture of the card with my mobile phone. Normally I forget doing this while I'm working and so I can't show you what I did very often. But this time I got the idea while the masking fluid (=Rubbelkrepp) was drying! :-)

Since I bought the new Fluid, masking is much more fun than with the old one (which was clumpy cause of age).

K1-444 - Leuchter-Fisch

Vor einigen Wochen hat der älteste Sohn von Freunden sein Abitur gemacht.
Kombiniert mit dem Leuchterfisch entstand diese Karte für ihn...
(Anmerkung der Redaktion: Es besteht keinerlei optische Ähnlichkeit zwischen dem abgebildeten Fisch und dem Abiturienten - auch wenn sie jetzt beide leuchten. ;-) Der junge Mann hat ein deutlich schöneres Lächeln!)

Some weeks ago, the oldest son of our friends finished school with his Abitur (= highest secondary-school examination in Germany)!
We have the colloquial phrase "You're a luminaire!" (= Du bist ne Leuchte!) for a shifter or a clever and smart one. I just put a "now" (= jetzt) at the beginning of the sentiment...
In combination with this phrase I think the luminaire-fish fits perfectly! To finish the card I used some sparkling rhinestone-letters and wrote Glückwunsch (= Congratulation) around the upper edge of the circle.

K1-443 - Reverse stamped flowers #2 + Alles Gute

Ich hab gleich noch eine zweite Karte mit der eben erklärten Technik gemacht, diesmal aber den zweiten Stempelabdruck nicht mit schwarz, sondern mit dem dunkleren Gelbton (mustard seed) gestempelt. Die Blüten wirken gleich ganz anders, oder?
Obwohl es eine One-Layer Karte ist, hab ich vier der kleinen blauen Blüten noch einmal extra gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und mit (flachen!) 3D-Pads aufgeklebt. Einige Akzente mit einem Glitzerstift (von Sakura) rundet alles ab.

I made a second card with the technique I explained in the previous post. This time I used the darker yellow (mustard seed) for the second stamp, not the black one. I think the flowers have a different look - what do you think?
Although it's a one-layer card, I stamped and fussycut four of the tiny blue flowers and adhered them with (flat!) 3D-pads. Some accents with a glitter-pen (from Sakura) made the finish!

K1-442 - Reverse stamped flowers #1 + Danke

Heute hab ich mal wieder einen Technik-Test gemacht! Zuerst hab ich mit der Rückseite meiner Clearstamps die Farben aufs Papier gestempelt, dann mit der regulären Vorderseite die schwarzen Linien.
Die Blüten sind also nicht in dem Sinne koloriert, aber dennoch bunt! :-)
Einige Punkte mit Glossy Accents, ein heiß-embosster Text und eine feine Rahmen-Linie vervollständigen die Karte.

Today I tried something new for me! First I stamped with the "backside" of my symmetric clearstamps the colors on the paper, then I used the regular side for the black lines.
The flowers arn't colored in a regular way, but they are colorful! :-)
Some spots with Glossy Accents, a heat-embossed sentiment and a fine frame-line finished this card.

K1-441 - wunderschöne Weihnachtszeit

Es ist nicht ganz einfach, Weihnachtskarten zu machen, wenn es draußen um die 40°C hat und die Sonne brennt! 
In der Nacht von Sonntag zu Montag hat's gewittert und geregnet, und am Montag war es dann nicht mehr ganz so heiß wie die Tage zuvor. Ich hab die Chance genutzt und sofort meine Weihnachts-Stempel rausgekramt!
Das Ergebnis vom Montag waren zwei monochrome CAS One-Layer Karten mit Embossingpulver.

The night from Sunday to Monday we had a thunderstorm and some rain, so it wasn't as hot as the days before and I took the chance to dive into christmas-stuff immediatelly!
The result of Monday were two CAS monochromatic One-Layer-Cards with some heat-embossing.

Bei der zweiten Karte habe ich erst der Baum gestempelt, die Grundlinie gezogen und dann beides mit normalem Drucker-Papier maskiert. Um Unfälle zu vermeiden, hab ich immer nur zwei Schneeflocken stempelt, mit Embossingpulver bestreut und erhitzt.
Zum Kolorieren des Baums habe ich nur die gestempelten Distress Ink-Linien und etwas Wasser verwendet. Als alles wieder trocken war, gab's als Abschluß noch viele kleine Punkte mit "Liquid Pearls" als Schneeflocken auf den Baum.

For the second card I first stamped the tree and drew the ground line, then masked both with some regular printer-paper. To avoid accidents I always stamped only two snowflakes with Versamark Ink, added the embossing powder and fixed them with heat.
When all the heat was finished I used a waterbrush to blend the Distress Ink of the tree and stamped the sentiment. After everything was dry I finished the card with lots of tiny little dots of "Liquid Pearls" like snowflakes on the tree. 
The translation of the sentiment is something about "(fair and) beautiful Christmas Time".

Für die erste Karte hab ich zuerst eine Fläche für den Baum maskiert, anschließend den Hintergrund in zwei Grüntönen mit Distress-Inks gestempelt, die Maske wieder entfernt und Wasser aufgesprüht, um die Farben etwas verlaufen zu lassen.
Die weiße Fläche für den Baum wurde erneut maskiert und die Schneeflocken mit VersaMark Ink gestempelt. Um Unfälle zu vermeiden, hab ich die Schritte "Stempeln - Pulver aufbringen - schmelzen" oft wiederholt.
Mit Hilfe des Stamp-a-ma-jig den Baum mittig in die frei gelassene Fläche gestempelt und ihn anschließend noch mit "Wink of Stella Brush" beglittert.
Einen extra Textstempel hab ich diesmal nicht benutzt, da der Hintergrund ja aus "Fröhliche Weihnachten" in vielen verschiedenen Sprachen besteht.

For the first card I masked the are for the tree and then stamped the background in two shades of green Distress-Inks. After removing the mask I sprayed water on the cardbase to blend the inks and heat-dried it. 
I masked the white area a second time and stamped the snowflakes with Versamark Ink. To avoid accidents I repeated the steps "stamp - add powder - fix it with heat" often.
With the help of the stamp-a-ma-jig I placed the tree in the middle of the open area and added some glitter with the "Wink of Stella Brush".
I  havn't used a extra sentiment this time, cause the whole background is made with "Merry Christmas" in many different languages.
