Mistelzweige gehören für mich schon seit meiner Kindheit zu Weihnachten dazu!
Ich erinnere mich noch, wie ich mit meinem Dad losfuhr, um in den Streuobstwiesen der Umgebung welche zu finden, die zum einen eine gewisse Größe hatten und zum anderen ohne lange Leiter erreichbar waren.  😉
Die Küsse unter dem Mistelzweig kamen dann erst deutlich später dazu...  😘

Mistletoes and Christmas belong together for me since I was a kid!
I can remember my dad and me driving through the areas around searching for them. They needed a certain size and reachable growing places (without a ladder).  😉

The kisses beneath the mistletoes happened considerably later...  😘

Über die Karte:

Ich hab den Kranz mit weißer Pigment Ink auf dem Kraft-Papier gestempelt und dann mit Buntstiften coloriert. Die Schleife ist, wie der Text auch, mit weißem Embossingpulver gemacht. Nach dem Colorieren hab ich sie ausgestanzt und zusammen mit einigen Mini-Pailletten und kleinen Halbperlen auf dem Kranz platziert. 

About this card:

I stamped the wreath with a white pigment ink on the Kraftpaper and colored it with watercolor pencils. The bow is, like the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder. After coloring it with the pencild I diecut it and adhered it with some tiny sequins and small faux pearls on the wreath.

Laura Bassens gezeigte "Layered embossed flowers" haben mich hier inspieriert.
Diese Karte ist komplett embossed! Der Kranz ist, wie beim klassischen Two-(or more)-Step-Stamping auch, Schicht für Schicht aufgetrgen - nur eben mit VersaMark Tinte und verschiedenfarbigen Embossing-Pulvern.

Irgendwie arbeite ich nach wie vor viel zu selten mit gemusterten Papieren... da hat man sie in vielen Farben und Mustern da und dann?
Erst kürzlich hab ich in meinem Bastelzimmmer ein wenig umgeräumt und diese Papiere näher an meinen Schreibtisch geholt, damit ich sie sehe und auch verwende!
Gesagt, getan - Bei den Hasen hab ich nur die Blume (= das Schwänzchen)  mit weißem Wink of Stella aufgehellt, die Ohren etwas nachcoloriert und die Augen mit Enamel Accents hervorgehoben. Die Schleifen hab ich separat nochmal auf weißes Papier gestempelt, coloriert, ausgeschnitten und dann aufgesetzt - sie sind nun auch plastischer.

For any reason Idon't work often with patterned papers... I have them in many colors and patterns nach what's going on now?
Recently I re-organized my crafting room a bit and I put these papers closer to my desk, so I'll see and maybe use them!
O.k. - I lightened up the flower (= tail / is it called flower in colloquial too in your country?) of the rabbits with a white Wink of Stella Brush, the ears got a little bit of color and the eyes I highlighted with Ennamel Accents. The ribbons I stamped a second time on white paper, colored, fussycut and then adhered them on the rabbits necks - it looks more dimension now.

Ihr kennt ja alle diese edlen Schoko-Hasen in der Goldfolie, mit dem roten Band um den Hals und dem Glöckchen dran.... 

Solch ein Schmachofatz hat mich inspiriert, mal eine eher edle Osterkarte ohne viel Brimborium zu gestalten.

I'm not sure if these delicious Easter-chocolate-rabbits wraped into gold-foile with a small bell on a red ribbon around their necks are known all around the world... (they are produced from Lindt, see the rabbits here). 

Such a yummy critter inspired me to make a precious Easter-card without lots of embellishments.

K1-513 - Weihnachtskranz

Zuerst war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich es hinbekomme, etwas in dem eleganten und klassischen Stil zu basteln, den Kristina Werner am Tag 3 der neuen Online Card Classes - "Holiday Style" gezeigt hat.
Also Kranz-Stempel ausgewählt und losgelegt - und plötzlich war's dann doch einfacher als gedacht! 
Den Hintergrund hab ich mit dem Blending Tool und Distress Inks in antique linen, scattered straw and vintage photo gestaltet.
Ich weiß, Kristina hat in ihrer Karte nur Gold- und Braun-/Grautöne verwendet, aber die Idee, die Beeren rot und nicht golden zu machen gefiel mir viel besser. Ich hab sie also in der gedeckten Farbe von "Distress Stain - antique bronze" coloriert - aber das wirkte viel zu fad... daher hab ich mal mehr, mal weniger "Distress Ink - fired brick" zugemischt und die Beeren in unterschiedlichen schimmernden Rot-Nuancen coloriert um optisch etwas Dimension zu erzeugen. Als alles trocken war, sah es schon mal soweit gut aus, aber irgendwie fehlte mir immer noch was... X-mas red Stickels war dann meine Lösung! Ich hab es nur ganz sparsam auf einigen Beeren eingesetzt. Ich war zufrieden! :-)
Aber jetzt noch ein goldener Schriftzug? Hmmm ... die Karte, die vor mir lag, verlangte nach etwas anderem!
Um eine Balance zu erhalten, hab ich den französischen Schriftzug "Noel" vier mal in rot ausgestanzt, zusammengeklebt und anschließend auch erst mit den roten Stickles überzogen, anschließend noch mit einer Schicht Glossy Accents.
Auf diese Weise verwende ich Stickles fast immer! Es glitzert viel viel mehr, wenn man am Ende noch einen glänzenden Abschluß drangibt. - Versucht's auch mal! Die Stickles müssen übrigens nicht trocken sein, ehe man das Glossy Accents aufträgt - das spart Zeit!

First I wasn't sure if I can create something in the elegant and vintage style Kristina Werner used on her card on Day 3 of the new Online Card Classes - "Holiday Style".
Then I took this wreath-stamp and everything was easy! 
For the background I used Distress Inks in antique linen, scattered straw and vintage photo with my blending tool.
I know, Kristina only used shades of gold and brown/gray on her card, but I liked the idea of red berries in the wreath more than golden ones. So I took my muted "Distress Stain - antique bronze", but it was too pale... mixed less or more "Distress Ink - fired brick" to the bronze and colored the berries for a more dimensional look in different shimmering nuances of red. After everything was dry, it looked ok, but a bit too plain... so I used red Stickels, only on some of them. I was pleased! :-)
But a golden sentiment? Hmmm... the card laying in front of me asked for an other solution!
To balance it out, I decided to die-cut the french word Noel four times, stick them all together and covered it with the same Stickles-color first and later with Glossy Accents.
This is how I use Stickles most of the time! It's sparkling more and more when there is a glossy finish - try it out! By the way, the stickles needn't be dry when you add the Glossy Accents - that's really time-saving.
