Diese Karte funkelt! 
Nicht nur, dass jeder Buchstabe des Textes mit einem GellyRoll Stift zum Funkeln gebracht wurde, sondern ich habe auch eine silberne Hologramm Folie unter dem gestalteten Bild platziert, die wie ein Rahmen hervorlugt.
Es wirkt, als wären unzählige kleine Regentropfen drauf - in Kombination mit dem neuen "Background Blocks - Rays" Stempel (=Strahlen) entsteht dann auch direkt ein farbenprächtiger Regenbogen!

Regenbögen sind Hoffnungsbringer, sie leuchten am Himmel, wenn der Regen aufhört und die Sonne wieder scheint... - gute Voraussetzungen dafür, dass der Wunsch "Hab einen wundervollen Tag" in Erfüllung geht, oder?

This card is sparcling!
Not only every Letter of the bold Sentiment got a layer with a sparkling Gelly Roll pencil, but there is also a silver hologram foil beneath the craftedpicture, placed like a frame.
It looks like there is an uncountable number of raindrops on it and in combination with the new Stamp "Background Block - Rays" a colourful rainbow develops immediatelly!

Rainbows are bearer of hope, they arise when the rain stops and the sun is shining again... - best requirement for the wish "Have a wonderful day" to come true, right?

Welcome to our Non-Release-Month DesignTeam Blog Hop and Giveaway!

On the Uniko Blog Beverley wrote a short "what you need to know" about this little traditional event for everybody who isn't familiar with it.

The sentiment on the card is "A kind word is like sunshine on a spring day".

So... let's go here directly to the theme/supplies of this DT-Challenge!
Cause Winter comes slowly to an end and spring is starting soon we have chosen to give some special love and some fresh ink to the spring fitting stamp sets of the Spring Botanicals Daffodil and Spring Botanicals Snowdrop and also the Spring Butterflies Stencil!

After my first card I made this second one.

It has the focus on the stencil and a stamped butterfly of the English Country Garden Set, combined with the sentiment "A kind word is like sunshine on a spring day" of the Snowdrop set.

About this card:
I combined  the Kraft paper with white pigment ink, added through the stencil.

Then I stamped the smaller butterfly of the English Garden Set on a piece of Vellum, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder, I coloured it with a  yellow marker on the backside (so you can avoid any colour smearing on vellum).

The sentiment is stamped with yellow oxide inks. The vellum-butterfly is adhered on the white "shadow" of the stenciled butterfly.

Hey! Welcome to the reminder-post for the Uniko July/August 2018 Challenge!

Our current Challenge is a great combination of a sentiment from A.A. Milne: "It's so much more friendly with two." combined with a cute photo. There are many options to be inspired - the colours, the bugs and the young plant.

If you need an extra-inspiration, you may use the optional twist "for a child" - you don't have to use it, but we are excited what you might create for the little people in your life!

About this card:

I created a sunflower with my Uniko Mehndi Mandala Stencil and placed it "outside" of a "window".

First I dry embossed the stencil with an extra silicone shim into a piece of vellum. Then I coloured the embossed areas with my Stabilo Markers from the backside, just to avoid any smearing, cause on vellum some markers aren't always as dry as you think they should be...

After fixing the vellum between two layers of frame die-cuts I created with the Stax dies, I added one final "unframed" layer on the bottom, just to avoid to see the green cardbase through the vellum. Then I glued this stack on my cardbase.

With the big sunflower and the die cut  word summer, the front of my card was busy enough, so I decided to add the sentiment on the iside of the card.

In my card the number two is involved several times - although I havn't used a bug stamp:

2 different kind of papers (cardstock and vellum),

2 Uniko products (Mehndi Mandala Stencil & Spring Botanicals - Daffodil Stamp-Set)

2 dies (stitched square and the word summer),

2 times the word-die & 2 stitching lines on the frame-die,

2 ways I used the stencil (dry embossing and colouring),

2 shades of every colour (yellow, orange, green),

2 places with crafting (outside and inside of the card),

2 linings for the sentiment on the inside (black & white)

Noch eine Karte, die ich mit Stencil und Distress Oxiden getaltet habe.
Wer hat auch schon Sehnsucht nach mehr Sonnenschein?

Über die Karte:
Technisch ist diese Karte recht einfach gehalten.
Stencil mit einem (wieder gut ablösbaren!) Klebeband auf der Kartenvordertseite fixieren, mit den Oxide Inks die Farben mit einem BlendingToll von hell nach dunkel auftragen und dabei die Übergänge möglichst fließend gestalten. Maskierung entfernen.
Die beiden Textstanzen jeweils dreimal aus schwarzem Papier ausstanzen und mit z.B. Multi Medium matte übereinander kleben und zum Schluß noch mit einer Schicht Glossy Accents überziehen. Nachdem alles vollständig durchgetrocknet ist, die beiden Text-Stücke auf der Karte fixieren.

About this card:

Technically it's an easy to craft card.
First fix the stencil with a(easy to remove!) tape on the cardfront, then apply the Oxide Inks with a BlendingTool. Start with the lighter color and move to the darker one, create a nice ombre-background. Remove the Masking.
Diecut both sentiments three times with black cardstock and stack them togeter., finish both with a nice layer of Glossy Accents. When it's completely dry, adhere both sentiment pieces on the cardfront.

Den Hintergrund für diese Karte hab ich mit Ink-Smooshing gestaltet. Laura Bassen zeigte am Tag-4 mehrere verschiedene Arten, mit dieser Technik Farbe aufs Papier zu bringen.

Über die Karte:

Hier hab ich das Ink-Smooshing direkt auf meiner Arbeits-Unterlage gemacht. Tinte + Wasser + Papier.
Nach dem Trocknen einen "Farbkreis" zugeschnitten, dazu einen kleineren Kreis aus Vellum.  Auf demhab ich dann das in sehr zarten Farben colorierte Gorjuss-Mädel platziert hab. Bbei meiner Farb-Wahl spielte die englische Bedeutung der Farbe Blau - "feeeling blue" = "traurig sein" mit rein... Hab mich dann aber doch für einen deutschen Text-Stempel entschieden... passt daher also nicht mehr ganz perfekt, ist aber vielleicht doch eine nette Zusatzinformation für euch. - Perfekt für eine Aufmunterungs-Karte geeignet (und auch für den bunten Smooshing-Hintergrund), wie ich finde.
Ja, ich hab mich früher eine Zeit lang viel mit dem Thema "Farben und ihre Bedeutung in den verschiedenen Epochen und Kulturen" beschäftigt... War ziemlich interessant!

About this card:

I practiced the ink-smooshing direct on my craft-mat. Ink + water + paper.
After it was dry, I cut a "colorcircle" and an additional smaller one of Vellum. There I placed the colored Gorjuss-girl I've colored in tender colors. The choice of the colors was influenced from the meaning... In English feeling blue = feeling sad (in German "I feel blue" is for "I drunk alcohol"). Later I decided to use a German sentiment, so this color-choice is less important, but maybe good to know for you.- I think that's perfect for an encouragement-card (and also for the busy smooshing-background)
Yes, years back I was really interested in the theme "Colors and their meaning in different ages and cultures"... It was really interesting!

Über die Karte:
Ich hab bei den beiden Papieren direkt vom Kissen aufs Aquarell-Papier geinkt. Das eine Mal kamen eher hellere Pastell-Farben zum Einsatz, das andere Mal kräftige Töne.
Für den pastelligen Hintergrund hab ich das "hello" direkt aus dem farbigen Aquarellpapier ausgestanzt.
Ich hab mit verschiedene Möglichkeiten überlegt, wie ich nun weitermache möchte... das "hello" mit weißem oder farbigem papier wieder einfügen ODER das "hello" mit Moosgummi erhöhen ODER etwas Glitzer zufügen ODER einfach alles machen!
Also hab ich das "hello" nochmal aus 1mm Moosgummi ausgestanzt. Das Aquarellpapier-"hello" mit einer weiteren Schicht Farbe in kräftigeren Schattierungen nachgedunkelt und anschließend mit glitzerndem Embossingpulver überzogen. Alles zusammengefügt und die Karte mit einem kleinen "sunshine" aus schwarzem Cardstock (mit einer Schicht Glossy Accents überzogen) fertig gestellt.

About this card:
For both backgrounds I inked directly with the inkpad onto the watercolor-paper. One time I've choosen light pale colors, the other time I used bold and bright colors.
For the pastel-colored background I diecut the "hello" directly out of the colored watercolor paper.
I was thinkting of different options... adhere a white / colored "hello" OR put the "hello" on funfoam OR add some sparkle OR just do all of it!
So I used a 1mm funfoam and cut out the "hello" again. I added some more (brighter) colors to the watercolor-paper-"hello" and covered it with sparkling embossing powder. Then I put all things together and adhered as last point the black word "sunshine" (covered with Glossy Accents) to finish the card.

Die Online Card Classes - Sparkle & Shine neigt sich ihrem Ende entgegen. Da ich bei einigen der vorgestellten Techniken noch jede Mengen Ideen habe (aber wie immer nicht genug Zeit um alle sofort umzusetzen), werdet ihr wohl auch nach dem offiziellen Ende noch viele Karten mit Glitter & Schimmer zu sehen bekommen! ;-)

The Online Card Classes - Sparkle & Shine comes to its end. I still have lots of ideas for some of the shown techniques (but always not enough time to realize them immediatelly), so I'll show you many more  cards with sparcle and shine after the official end! ;-)

Über die Karte:

Diesmal habe ich weißen und gelben Cardstock gestanzt und anschließend mit Heat & Stick Powder und Dazzling Diamonds Glitter in Glitzerpapier verwandelt.
Für eine noch tollere optische Wirkung (und auch, damit der Glitter nicht nach und nach abbröselt!) habe ich noch zwei Schichten Glossy Accents aufgetragen.  

About this card:

This time I die-cut yellow and white cardstock and then turned it into Glitterpaper with the help of Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
For a more impressive optical effect (and to avoid the fall-off of glitter) I added two layers of Glossy Accents to it.

Ich hab einige Karten mit dem Set "Partyballons" von Stampin'Up gemacht. Die dritte Karte aus dem Set besticht mit dem glitzernden knall-gelben Ballon und dem dazu passenden embossten Text-Stempel "hallo -kleiner Sonnenschein-".

Dieses Jahr haben wir einen April mit echtem, ständig wechselndem Aprilwetter. Es ist alles dabei - Sonne, Regen, Schnee, Sonne, Graupel, Wind, Regen, Sonne und Regenbogen!
Der Blick aus meinem Fenster und die Hoffnung auf Sonne zum Schluß hat mich zu dieser Karte inspiriert.

This year we have an April with real, quickly changing April-wether of any kind - sun, rain, snow, sun, sleet, wind, rain, sun and rainbows!
The view out of my window and the hope for sunshine in the end inspired me to make this card.
(The sentiment is easy to translate - "Hello sunshine".)
