Wer kennt sie nicht, die Lumpi-Tiere, die heißgeliebten Stofftiere von Kindern? Als ich diesen "handgenähten Löwen"-Stempel entdeckt hab, stand sofort fest - den muss ich haben!
Denn er ist einfach nur knuffig, oder?

Who doesn't know the cuddle animals, the intensively loved soft toys of kids? When I saw this "hand sew lion" stamp the first time I immediately knew - I need this one!
Cause it's simply cute, isn't it?

The translation of the German sentiment "du bist besonders" is "you are special".

Der Löwe ist mit schwarzer VersaFine Tinte gestempelt und dann mit Stabilo Markern koloriert. Der Text und der Tatzenabdruck sind in schwarz embossed.

I stamped the lion with black VersaFine ink and coloured it with Stabilo markers. The sentiment and the pawprint are heat embossed in black.

It's a one layer card without any embellisments, one main image and the remaining area is uncluttered. It's quick and easy to recreate... 

The only guideline I skipped a bit is "lots of open space"... I hope 3/3,5 out of 4 points qualify this card to participate... ;-) 

The code word is "tall"... tall is another word for big, isn't it? On a bigger card size, the lion would be small...

To inspire you and bring you into party mood, I made a wild and funny (male) birthday card!

In my Washi Tape drawer I found this cute animal-printed tape-
The nine different animals have the perfect size for a horizontal Din A6 cardfront. 
The tape has only two shades of teal plus white, so I decided to continue this colour scheme in a monochromatic card with only  different shadings of teal plus white.
Was easy-peasy, cause the Oxide Inks evergreen bough and pine needles have almost the same shades of teal / green like the tape.
The papers beneath the sentiment strips are self-coloured to get the perfect tone.

For the background I stamped a part of the brand new "Background Blocks - Scattered Hearts" and the rest of the card was made with the "Wild" stamp set from last year.
All coloured parts were made with the two Oxide Inks and a waterbrush - nothing more!

Über die Karte:

Was man leider auf den Bildern nur sehr schwer erkennen kann: im unteren Teil der Karte hab ich den Hintergrund mit Hilfe von metallic-weißer Embossingpaste und einer distressed Dots-Stencil  gestaltet (man sieht es am rechten Rand an der unterbrochenen Linie am deutlichsten).
Ja, weiß auf weiß - der plastische & haptische Effekt wirkt leider nur, wenn man die Karte anfassen kann.... ;-)

About this card:

It's a bit hard to see: I created the background of the lower part of the card with metallic-white embossing-paste and a distressed dots-stencil (visible on the right side where the line is interrupted by the dots).
Yes, white on white - the dimensional and haptical effect is bigger when you can touch the card... ;-)

Is there anything better than starting a new year of life with a funny card? This can sweeten the tragedy of ageing and let you smile. ;-)

The sentiment is a funny German rhyme to the melody of "Happy Birthday to you... jam in the shoe" (kids are singing this since 30 or maybe 40 years ago up to today) and Christine (Create A Smile Stamps) made a stamp with it! The second part of the sentiment is "oups, too late..."

Perfect when you missed to send it to the right date......
