Ich hab gestrahlt wie ein Honigkuchen-Pferd. - Klar will ich! :-)
Recently Tanja asked me if I wanna join as guest into the "Stamp Connection".
I got so excited about this (Here in Germany we we have a colloquial phrase when we are very happy about something: "I was smiling like a gingerbread-horse." = "I was all smiles") - For sure I want! :-)
Die Themen-Vorgabe ist "Valentine's Day".
Nun ist ja der Valentinstag bereits seit einigen Tagen vorbei und einige von Euch haben sicher für eine Weile genug Herzchen und Rosa gesehen... (ja, ich weiß, manch einer hat NIEMALS genug von Rosa ;-) )
Aber für all die anderen hab ich meine heutige Karte gemacht: eine Liebeserklärung auf die eher maskuline Art!
The theme of the Challenge is "Valentine's Day".
Some days ago we celebrated Valentine's Day and some people may have seen enough hearts and pink for a while... (yes, I know, some craftes can NEVER get enough of pink ;-) )

Gedanken zu dieser Karte:
"You are the SALT to my PEPPER" - Kochen ohne Gewürze... für viele kaum vorstellbar! Und eine Salz ohne Pfeffer? Auch nicht! → Also eine perfekte Liebeserklärung, oder?
(Hier bei uns würde man vermutlich eher sagen "Du bist das Salz in meiner Suppe"! - aber wie auch immer, Salz ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil - immer und überall!)
Dazu der süße Küchenchef (ein sehr maskuliner Beruf) von "My Favorite Things", jede Menge Gewürz-Streuer mit glitzerndem Inhalt und zuletzt noch einen Mini-Shaker-Kochtopf (oder Micro-?)!
OK... im Topf kochen kleine Herzen - ganz ohne solche Elemente geht es bei Valentins-Karten eben doch nicht!
* Dass die Gewürze glitzern hat natürlich auch einen Grund: Zum einen stehen sie ja formell für "Du und Ich" (also eh schon wen ganz besonderes) und zum anderen kann etwas mehr Glitzer im Leben NIE schaden, oder?
* Da mein Text zu lang für alle Banner-Stempel in meiner Sammlung war, hab ich mir einen einfach "verlängert": Zuerst den Text stempeln, dann mehr als die Hälfte des Banner-Stempels einfärben und passend stempeln, den Stempel sehr gut (!!!) reinigen und dann wieder mehr als die zweite Hälfte stempeln, dabei die zuvor gestempelten Linien als Orientierung verwenden.
* Ein klassisches Bild von Großküchen ist das mit weißen Fliesen und schwarzen Fugen (warum auch immer?) - das hab ich im Hintergrund mit aufgenommen.
* Damit der Topf nicht nur irgendwo in der Luft schwebt, hab ich nach einer unaufdringlichen Lösung gesucht und mich schließlich für eine WashiTape-Variante entschieden: erst transparent-grau gestreiftes Tape, darüber in einem kleinen Bereich transparent-rotes als Feuerstelle.
* The floor is colored and blended with copics. I added a shade of the cook to get some dimension.
Thoughts about this card:
"You are the SALT to my PEPPER" - cocking without spices... no option for most of us! And salt without pepper? Neither! → So this is a perfect declaration of love, isn't it?
Combined with the cute culinary chief (a very masculine job) from "My Favorite Things", several flavoring shaker with sparkling content and at least a Mini-Shaker-cockpot (or is it Micro?)!
Ok... in the pot there are little hearts boiling - but a Valentine's Day-card can't really exist completely without these things!
* I let the spices sparkle, cause they stand for "You and Me" (two very special ones) and adding some more glitter to everybody's life is always a good idea, isn't it?
* The sentiment was too long for all the banner-stamps in my stash, so I decided to "enlarge" one: First I stamped the sentiment, then I inked up more than half of the banner-stamp and stamped it in place, after cleaning the stamp intensively (!!!) I stamped again more than the second part of the banner, the stamped lines were used as guide.
* A typical view of canteen kitchens has white tiles and black gaps (don't know why?) - I used this in my background too.
* To avoid a flying pot I was looking for an unobtrusive solution and found one with WashiTape: first transparent-grey striped tape then a second layer with transparent-red as hot-area.
* The floor is colored and blended with copics. I added a shade of the cook to get some dimension.
