K1-862 - slim LED-Halloween Card

Wer hat gesagt, dass LED-Karten immer dick und klobig sein müssen?
Meine allerneuste LED-Karte misst in ihrer Dicke nur 0,25 cm! Und sie hat einen Schalter! Der verhindert zum einen, dass sie bereits auf dem Postweg bei Druck von außen das Umschlaginnere erleuchtet und dann mit fast leerer Batterie ankommt und erspart einem zudem auch noch das leidige "hier dauerhaft feste drücken", wenn man die LEDs leuchten sehen will! Sie leuchtet dann ohne jede Berührung und lassen sich auch wieder ausschalten.
Klingt das perfekt? Ich finde schon... 😃

Who said, LED-cards need to be thick and bold?
My very latest LED-card is only 0,25 cm thick! And it has a switch! This switch prevent the illumination of the inside of the envelope during the mail-transport and empty batteries when the card arrives and you needn't the "press here strong" when you want to enlight the LEDs! They glow without any touch and you can switch them off again.
Sound perfect? I think so... 😃

Dieser süße Waschbär auf dem Baustumpf ist Teil der aktuellen Gerda Steiners MPChallenge. Der Digi-Stamp hat ein leeres Schild, das man selbst nach Herzenslust beschriften kann.
Ich hab mich für "You're awesome" (= "Du bist großartig") und ein kleines Herz entschieden - ich finde, das passt gut zu seinem verschmitzten Gesichtsausdruck.

This cute racoon on the stump is part of the current Gerda Steiners MPChallenge. The digistamp has an empty plate and you can decorate it with your heart's content.
I took "You're awesome" and a small heart - I think it fits perfectly to the whimsical smile.

Über die Karte:
Ich hab den Waschbären mit Distress Crayons und einem feuchten Pinsel coloriert (das ist fast wie colorieren mit Aquarellfarben), um eine etwas rauere Optik für diese kleine Wald-Szene zu erzeugen. Um die Karte möglichst schlicht zu belassen, hab ich als Verzierung nur einige gestanzte Blätter um den Baustumpf herum verteilt.

About this card:

I colored the racoon with Distress Crayons and a wet brush (it's almost like watercoloring) to get a bit of a rough optic for this little forest scene. As embellishment As embellishments I just added some diecut leaves around the stump to stay clean and simple.

Über die Karte:
Die Uhren hab ich in Tuxedo Black und in Gray Flannel gestempelt, um mit den beiden Farb-Nuancen etwas räumliche Tiefe zu erzeugen. Die vielen Uhren sollen auch für das Verrinnen der Zeit stehen.
Mein  Focus liegt aber ganz klar im Vordergrund, auf dem in knalligem Rot embossten Textstempel. Meine Verzierungen hab ich eher schlicht gehalten und nur einige HotFix Metall-Punkte im Uhrgetriebe und auf der CardBase verstreut.

About this card:

I stamped the clocks in Tuxedo Black and Gray Flannel to get a bit of optical dimension with the shades.The number of clocks symbolize the time flow.
My focus is definitly in the front, on the bright red heat embossed sentiment. With some simple embellishments, HotFix metal-dots, in the gearing mechanism and on the card base I finish the card.

Als ich bei der "Task for Two" die aktuelle Challenge-Vorgaben gesehen hab, war mir sofort klar, wie meine Karte dafür aussehen soll!
Meine Inspiration hierfür ist schon etwas älter, um ganz genau zu sein: Seit ihrer Fertigstellung vergingen genau 5 Jahre, 3 Monate, 3 Wochen und 3 Tage.
Diese Blüten-Stola, die ihr auf dem Bild unten sehen könnt, besteht aus über 100 unterschiedlichen Häkel-Blüten und ich hab sie mir für meine kirchliche Hochzeit gehäkelt. Unsere kleine, alte Dorfkirche ist auch im Sommer recht kühl und so beschloß ich, mir noch etwas Wärmendes für die freien Schultern zu machen. Und ja, diese Stola wärmt mehr, als man auf den ersten Blick meinen könnte. 
Ein unbezahlbares Unikat für einen wundervollen Tag!
Da die Karte ja nun einen sehr persönlichen Bezug hat, hab ich sie meinem Mann geschenkt... um ihm einfach mal so für unsere gemeinsame Zeit zu danken (inzwischen schon über 11 Jahre). ❤

When I say the new sketch & sheme on the "Task for Two Challenge" I knew immediatelly, what kind of card I want to make!
My inspiration-object is a bit older, to be exact: 5 years, 3 monthes, 3 weeks and 3 days since I finished it.
The flower-stole you can see on the picture below is made of more than 100 different crochet-flowers and I made it for the day of my wedding in our small and old village church. It's a bit cool there, also in summertime, so I decided to make something warming for my blank shoulders. And yes, it warmed perfectly, although it doesn't look so.
An invaluable unique for a wonderful day!
Cause this card has a very personal "history" I gave it to my hubby.. just to say thank you for our time together (more than 11 years now).

Draußen wird es mehr und mehr herbstlich. Zeit für unsere Luna-Katze, im Laub zu spielen!
O.k. Luna ist nicht grau, aber ihr vier-farbig gescheckertes Fell würde sich auf dieser Shaker-Karte nicht gut machen, da zu bunt... Jetzt durfte sie eben als Inspirations-Geber mithelfen.

Outside it's more and more autumnal. Time for our cat Luna to play outside in the leaves!
O.k. Luna isn't a gray cat, but she is a four-color tabby cat and that would be too much color for a shaker card like this...- So she was just an inspiration for this card.
