Heute zeige ich euch eine Karte, die ich auf Wunsch einer Freundin für einen Geburtstag gemacht habe. 
Abgestimmt auf das großes Hobby des Geburtstagskindes Wandern (und auch auf das Geschenk, das sie bekommen soll) hab ich einige Elemente aus der Natur und passende Ausrüstungsgegenstände kombiniert.
Die Farbgebung ist auch eher schlicht und naturnah gehalten.

Der Text ist handgeschrieben und entspricht genau dem gewünschten Wortlaut meiner Freundin.

Das Innere ist absichtlich uncoloriert geblieben - ganz "natural", wie auch der kleine Pilz auf der Vorderseite.

Today I share a card I made on request of a friend for a birthday.
The big hobby of the birthday person wanderlust (and also the present she will get) inspired me so I combined some elements out of the nature and of fitting equipment pieces. 
The colour choice is simple and in harmony with nature.

The sentiment ist handwritten and my friend asked me to write exact these words.

The inside I left intentional uncoloured- totally natural, also the little mushroom on the front.

Translation of the German sentiment is a bit difficult, cause it's a selfmade little poem... But I try to show you the meaning  in the card a bit better...
"Beim Wandern über Stock und Stein soll Freude dein Begleiter sein" is something like "When you walk across the country / over rough and smooth joy should be your comagnon".

K1-1158 - Driving Home Bear

Vor kurzem bat mich ein Freund, eine Geburtstagskarte für seine Frau zu entwerfen. Da das Geschenk mit dem Thema Auto zu tun hatte, hab ich das süße Bärenset "Town Bear" verwendet und damit eine knuffige Action-Karte für die liebe Anja gezaubert! :-)
Im Karten Inneren war dann noch ein Glückwunsch-Text gestempelt (den hab ich leider vergessen zu fotografieren!).

Recently a good friend asked me to create a birthday card for his wife. The gift was car-themed so I decided to use the sweet "Town Bear" stamp set to create a cute action card for my friend Anja! :-)
On the inside I stamped a birthday sentiment (but I forgot to make pics of it, sorry!).

Vom Aufbau her sind Slider-Karten ja eigentlich recht einfach: 

• Eine Szene zusammenstellen, die Hintergrund-Elemente stempeln und kolorieren. 
• Auf ein extra Stück Papier die Vordergrund-Elemente und die beweglichen Teile stempeln, kolorieren und ausschneiden.
• Den Bewegungs-Pfad festlegen und ausscheiden. Auf der Kartenbasis den dadurch sichtbaren Bereich gestalten (hier die Straße).
• Das Sliderelement montieren und es, für eine bessere Beweglichkeit, unterhalb des Hintergrund-Papiers mit einer Münze beschweren.
• Den Hintergrund mit 3D Tape auf der Kartenbasis montieren.
• Alle Vordergrund-Motive ebenfalls mit (dünnem)3D Pads aufkleben.

Gesagt - getan. Klappte auch alles gut, bis ich beim finalen Bewegungstest plötzlich feststellte, dass das Auto aufgrund meiner Art der Montage (etwa mittig zwischen Reifen und Fenster) nicht auf, sondern neben der Straße fährt! Aber da ich nicht alles nochmal auseinander reißen wollte, ist es jetzt eben ein off-road Geländewagen (oder ein SUV)! ;-)

Eines ist noch wichtig: 

Damit das Auto sich nicht um sich selbst dreht, benötigt es entweder eine ovale oder zwei nah beieinander liegende runde Abstandshalter zur Münze!

The making of a slider card is in fact really simple:

• Create a scene, stamp and colour the background elements.
• Stamp and colour all foreground  and slider elements on an extra piece of paper and cut them out.
• Decide where the slider path should be and cut it out. If necessary colour this area on the card base in fitting colours (here the road).
• Add the slider element to the background panel, for a better movement you should add a little coin underneath the panel.
• Adhere the background panel with 3D tape to the bardbase.
• Add the foreground elements also with (thin) 3D pads.

Said and done. Everything went great until I checked the movement at the end of my crafting! I just recognized the car isn't driving on, but beside the road! The reason is my way of adhering the bear on the slider elements (my fix-points are in the middle between the wheels and the window). But then I decided it's not bad enough to destroy everything I did... It's an off-road  all-terrain vehicle (or SUV) now! ;-)

On importend detail:

To avoid the car rotating or spinning around you need to fix it on the coin with an oval or with two round side by side distance-elements.

K1-963 - Carpe diem!

Ich bleib noch etwas beim Tag 4 - "Landschaften und Natur" der OCC - Simply Watercolor. 
Diesmal sieht man nicht die hohen Berge, aber dafür satte grüne Wiesen und eine pummelige Kuh und viel blauer Himmel mit netten Wolken!
Erinnerungen an unsere Urlaube in Bayern (vor drei Jahren) und die Schweiz (vor zwei Jahren) werden wach! - Mann, wie die Zeit vergeht! Meine Kinder wurden damals nicht müde, bei jeder Weide, an der wir vorbeikamen "Kühe!" zu rufen... (Ich vermute, daran hätte sich nicht viel geändert... sie rufen auch hier an bestimmten Wegpunkten immer das selbe!)
Der Spruch "Carpe Diem!" = "Nutze den Tag!" passt gut, denn diese kleine Kuh hier hat viel Auslauf und jede Mange frisches Gras zu futtern. Was brauchen glückliche Kühe sonst noch?

I stay a little bit longer on Day 4 - "Landscapes & Nature" of the OCC - Simply Watercolor.
This time there aren't high mountains in my focus, but fresh green grassland and a chubby cow and lots of blue sky with some nice clouds!
Memories of our family vacations to Bavaria (three years ago) and Switzerland (two years ago) awake! - Time is flying by! My kids didn't get tired to shout out "Cows!" on every single meadow with animals on it... (I think, not much would have changed up to today... they also shout always on specific points here in our home area!)
The sentiment "Carpe diem!" = "Seize the day!" fits perfectly, cause this little cow has lots of space to jump around and so much freh grass to eat. Does a happy cow need something else?

Inspiriert wurde ich - neben der OCC - zusätzlich von den Urlaubsbildern aus den Bergen, die Freunde gezeigt haben und der Musik im Radio... Da passte jetzt einfach alles zusammen!

Über die Karte:
Zu dieser Karte hat mich das Video vom OCC-Tag-1 von Jennifer McGuire inspiriert.

Ich habe mit einer ovalen Stanze und einer Landschaftsstanze eine Szene zusammengestellt. und von der Rückseite her mit doppelseitiger Klebefolie versehen. Um dem geplanten Nachthimmel das gewisse "etwas" zu verleihen, hab ich zuerst einige kleine Glitzersteine in der Anordnung zweier Sternbilder aufgeklebt und anschließend den Himmel mit feinem Glitter in blau, violett und schwarz gestaltet.
Orion ist das einzigste Sternenbild, das ich immer und überall sofort erkenne - daher fiel meine Wahl ganz klar darauf. Dass das Einhorn benachbart dazu liegt zeighte mit erst die gefundene "Land"karte - passt aber auch sehr gut zu uns Bastlern, oder?
Die Nahtstelle des Ovals hab ich dann noch mit einem Rahmen aus weißem Glitterpapier kaschiert ein perfekter Übergang von der weißen Karte zu dem Glitzer-Himmel.

 The video OCC-DAY-1 from Jennifer McGuire inspired me to this card.
I created a szene with an oval die and a landscape die, added an double-sided adhesive foil on the back.To put something "special" to the planned night sky, I first added some small rhinestones with the positions of two star constellations and then created the sky colors with fine glitter in blue, mauve and black.
Orion is the only constellation I can find always on the night sky - so it was my first choice. On the star-map I saw the unicorn as one of the neighbors - also a great sybol for us crafters, right?
To cover the edge of the oval diecut I cut a frame of white glitterpaper - a perfect changeover between the white cardbase and the sparkling sky.

Vergangene Woche hat mir mein freundlicher Postbote einen Unschlag von der Stempelküche (wer diesen tollen online-Shop noch nicht kennt, folgt bitte dem Link). gebracht, wo ich endlich einige Dino-Stempel von the Alley Way bestellt hatte, die schon länger auf meiner Wunschliste standen! :-)
In der nächsten Zeit gibt's hier einige Geburtstage zu feiern, daher hab ich diese lustige Karte mit dem Spruch "aged to perfection". Den Text habe heiß embossed mit einer Farbe, die sich perfekt in den See-Hintergrund einfügt - er sollte einem nicht direkt ins Auge springen. Ihr wisst ja, das Alter ist manchmal ein heikles Thema... ;-) 
Auf die Innenseite der Karte hab ich noch ein schlichtes "Happy Birthday" gestempelt.

Last week my friendly postman brought me an envelope from the Stempelküche (translated: stampkitchen, a german online-shop with a great assortment of U.S.stamps and self-designed stamps with german sentiments) where I ordered some dino-stamps from the Alley Way. They were on my wish-list for a long time and now I finally got them! :-).
We have some birthdays here the next time, so I made this funny card with the sentiment "aged to perfection". The text is heat embossed with a color matching to the lake-background - it shouldn't catch everybodys eye immediatelly. You know, sometimes age is a delicate theme... ;-)
Inside the card I stampes a simple "Happy Birthday".

K1-398 - to the moon and back

Ich bin zurück! Zusammen mit meinen beiden kleineren Kids war ich für einige Tage in Süddeutschland (mein Großer musste zur Schule und mein Mann zur Arbeit - daher reisten wir leider ohne die beiden).
Neben einigen Familienfeiern gab's für mich noch einen Auftritt von Paddy Schmidt in einem Stuttgarter Pub und zum ersten Mal die Stempelmesse Süd! Dorthin hat mich Julia begleitet - wir hatten viel Spaß, umgeben von jeder Menge Bastelmaterial! :-)

I'm back! My two little kids and me, we travelled to Southern Germany for some days (my big son had to go to school and my hubby to work - so we sadly went without them).
Beside to some family celebrations there was some time for me to enjoy a gig of Paddy Schmidt in a Pub in Stuttgart and for the first time the Southern Stamp-Trade-Show! Julia went along with me - we had a great time there with lots of crafting-stuff around! :-)


Julias Beratung verdanke ich jetzt auch, dass ich mit einigen Indigo Blue-Produkten zu hause ankam... :-)

Nach über einer Woche ohne Basteltisch hab ich sie, kaum wieder zu hause, am Wochenende auch gleich eingeweiht. 

Thanks to the recommendation of Julia I'm now the owner of some Indigo Blue-products... :-)
More than one week without crafting was more than enough, so I used them the first time short time after I came back home!

K1-398 - to the moon and back

I  put some clear Wink of Stella on the landscape-borders and the trees to imitate the moonlight (it's hard to show on the pic, but maybe you can see some of the glitter-particles - they are NOT from the MegaFlakes. The FlitterGlu adhered these fluffy foil-pieces perfectly on the cardbase.)
