K1-887 - für dich - Gift Card

Ich mag meine Idee der Karten mit eingebautem Geschenkkarten-Halter im Inneren immer noch. Daher hab ich gleich noch eine gemacht!
Wenn ihr mehr davon sehen wollt: Klamotten-Shoppen & Multimedia Geschenkkarten.
Diesmal ist sie neutraler gehalten und daher für jede Art von ShoppingCard gut geeignet.

Über die Karte:
Ich hab hier mit einer Emboss-Resist-Technik gearbeitet. Erst den Text und die Sterne in zwei Schritten (da zwei unterschiedliche Embossing-Pulver Farben) heat embosst und anschließend mit dem Blending Tool die Distress-Oxide Inks aufgetragen.
Man könnte auch erst blenden und dann embossen, aber bei hellen Embossing-Farben kann da dann der dunklere Hintergrund durchscheinen und die Farben wären nicht mehr so schön sauber und satt!

About this card:
Here I worked with an emboss resist technique. First I heat embossed the sentiment and the stars in two steps (cause I used two different colors of smbossing powder) and then I blended the background with Distress Oxide Inks.
You can also first blend and then emboss, but when you use light embossing powder colours a darker background might peek through and then the colours wouldn't lock as clean and saturated as now!

Und nochmal eine Karte mit einem gewischten Distress Oxide Ink Hintergrund.
Diesmal hab ich eine Karte für eine Einkaufs-Geschenkkarte, die dann innen platziert wird, gestaltet.

This time I made a card for a shopping-gift card on the inside.

Um das Gefühl für's "Shoppen gehen" darzustellen, hab ich einen farbenprächtigen Spiegel gestaltet und dann einfach eine Schneiderpuppe und eine Handtasche davor platziert. Der Spaß am und die Liebe für's Shoppen wird durch die vielen kleinen Herzen symbolisiert.

To get the feeling of shopping I created a colourful mirror with the simple shapes of a dressmaker's dummy and a handbag in front of it. The fun of and love for shopping is symbolized by the little hearts.

Über die Karte:
Diesmal hab ich Aquarellpapier und Regenbogenfarben verwendet. Im mittleren Bereich war ich beim Auftragen und Mischen der Farben sehr vorsichtig, um ein schmuddeliges Braun zu vermeiden.
Ich hab dann den Kreis mit der StitchingLine und die Herzen ausgestanzt. Der Kreis ist mit einer irisierenden Schicht überzogen (ähnlich wie Wink of Stella, ich verwende es auf größeren Flächen, da es dann ergiebiger ist) und dann mit einer Fensterfolie abgedeckt, die mit derselben Stanze ausgeschnitten wurde.
Noch etwas mehr Stanzarbeit für die Schneiderpuppe, die Handtasche und den Geschenkkartenhalter auf der Innenseite der Karte und dann musste nur noch alles zusammengesetzt werden. Die Schneiderpuppe verdeckt den Bereich, in dem das Acetat auf gegeklebt wurde.
Damit die Utensilien ein "Zuhause" haben (also nicht optisch nur "herumfliegen") hab ich mit zwei Simplen Linien eine Wand erzeugt, an der der Spiegel hängt. Um den Ombre-Effekt optisch korrekt auf der Karte wiederzugeben, hab ich mein Aquarellpapier beim Aufkleben der Herzen als Schablone verwendet.
Zum Schluß wurde noch die Geschenkkarten-Hülle im Inneren der Karte platziert.

About this card:

This time I used watercolor paper and rainbow colours. In the middle area of the paper, where the colours meet each other I blended very carefully to avoid a brown mess.
I cut out a stitched circle and some hearts with dies. The circle is covered with an iridescent medium (it's a bit like Wink of Stella, I use it on bigger areas cause it's abundant) and a layer of acetat I cut out with the same die.
Some more diecutting for the shopping stuff and the pocket tag for the inside of the card and then just putting everything together. The dummy covers the area where I glued the acetat on the paper.
I framed the cardbase with two simple black lines to give everything a "home" (so they don't "fly" around) - the mirror is hanging on a wall now. To get the right feeling of the ombree-effect of the colours I used my coloured paper as a guide to place the little hearts.
The pocket tag is fixed on the inside.

Vielen denken immer, Männer seien ein schwieriges Thema... aber Jugendliche sind manchmal auch nicht ganz leicht, vor allem männliche Jugendliche...!
Es darf witzig sein, aber bloß nicht süß oder gar verspielt! Am besten irgend etwas cooles.

Many crafters think cards for men are a difficult thing... but teens aren't easy too sometimes, in special male teens...!
It could be a funny card but not a cute, sweet or kittenish one! Best way may be a cool one.


Mein Großer wurde gestern 15 und er hatte einige nicht so ganz günstige Multimedia-Wünsche. Seine eigene Idee waren Geschenkkarten für einen entsprechenden Laden, um so auch mehrere kleinere Geschneke zusammenlegen zu können (er wollte kein Bargeld - damit er es nicht doch noch für was anderes ausgiebt). Die Idee fand ich gut!
Oma nahm sich seiner Wünsche an und ich hab diese Karte für sie gemacht.

My biggest son had his 15. birthday yesterday and on his wishlist was some "not-so-cheap" multimedia-stuff. His own idea was to get giftcards for a multimedia store to add several presents together and they buy the things he wants (he didn't want to get money to avoid spending it on other stuff). Think this was a good idea!
Granny wanted to help him with this idea and I made this card for her.

Das waren also die thematischen Voraussetzungen: cool, Multimedia, mit Platz für Geschenkkarte(n) im Scheckkartenformat.
Das ist dabei herausgekommen: Karte in schlichtem Design in grau, poppiges Radio in rot, Sprechblase mit passendem Text und ein flottes Disko-Feeling mit Hologramm-Streifen und Sternen. Im Inneren der Karte befinden sich zwei PocketTags, in genau der richtigen Größe für besagte Karten.
Das Leuchten in Paul Augen bestätigte mir gestern, dass meine Mutter und ich gut zusammengearbeitet haben. 😉

That was the theme setup:cool, multimedia, with space for gift card(s) in bank card size.

That's the result: card with a simple design in grey, a popping-out radio in red, speech bubble with fitting sentiment and a spanking disco-feeling with some hologramm stars and stripes. On the inside there are two Pocket Tags in the perfect size for the giftcards.

The sparkling in Pauls eyes told me yesterday my Mom and me we did a good job together!

Hier nun also die zweite Karte - diesmal mit dem Challenge-Hasen! :-)
Aber da ich gestern Abend bei meiner kleinen Tochter mit eingeschlafen bin, ist es für die Tic-Tac-Toe-Challenge jetzt leider zu spät... :-/

Here comes the second card - this time with the challenge-bunny! :-)
But yesterday I also felt asleep while I brought my little daughter into bed... so was too late for the Tic-Tac-Toe-Challenge... :-/

Die "Halterung" für das Tag ist eine Art breites Gaze-Band, das in Zick-Zack-Form gelegt und dann zusammengenäht ist. Dadurch entstehen zwei "Taschen" (hab ich nicht selbst gemacht, sondern von einer Freundin geschenkt bekommen - sollte aber mit Nahmaschine kein Problem sein, wer mehr darüber wissen möchte, darf sich gerne bei mir melden).

Die erste Seite des Bands wird nun an einem Stück Cardstock befestigt. An der oberen Seite hat man dann die Öffnung, in die man das Tag reinstecken kann. In die untere Tasche kann man zB Pailletten oder ähliches füllen und sie wird beim Befestigen der zweiten Band-Seite am Cardstock dann automatisch mit verschlossen!

The "holder" of the Tag is a kind of broad ribbon made of gauze or gossamer which is folded in zigzag-lines and then sewed together - so there are two "bags". (It's no DIY-project made by myself... a friend gave it to my some time ago. But I think it shouldn't be a problem to create it, when you need more informations, please contact me.)

I adhered the first side of the ribbon to a piece of cardstock. At the top-side there is the bag to hold the Tag. In the bag below you can put some sequins or something like this, this bag will be closed when you adhere the second part of the ribbon to the cardstock.

K1-639 - Make a Wish-Stars

Eigentlich wollte ich eine Karte für zwei Challenges machen... Task for Two #45 und Tic-Tac-Toe #7. Aber irgendwie fehlte am Ende der Challenge-Hase für die erste Reihe der Tic-Tac-Toe-Aufgabe (warum? wenn ich das wüsste!), weshalb ich dann noch eine zweite Karte mit ähnlichem Layout gemacht habe (mit Hase!).
