Draußen werden die ersten Blätter bunt... aber irgendwie ist mir noch nicht so ganz nach Herbst... Daher hab ich meine Blätter für diese Karte ganz neutral gehalten: weiß = Vellum und klar = Fensterfolie.
Habt ihr diese beiden Materialien schon mal gestanz oder gepräft? Wenn ja, dann wisst ihr ja, dass das eine ganz andere Optik erzeugt als bei Papier oder Cardstock.

Outside the first leaves change their colors... but I still don't feel ready for fall... So I decided to use neutral leaves for this card: white = Vellum and clear = Acetat.
Have you ever embossed or diecut these materials? If yes, then you know you'll get a totally different look than with paper or cardstock.

K1-978 - Smart Day

Als ich gestern die neue Aufgabe der Task for Two "Over the Edge" gesehen hab, kam mir irgendwie sofort das Thema Fotografie in den Sinn... Perfekter Anlaß, um die erst kürzlich erworbenen Selfie-Sets von Lawn Fawn einzuweihen, oder? Noch toller, dass bei inkspirational das Thema "snap" lautet!
Damit auch bild-technisch alles seine Richtigkeit hat, geht die Szene im Inneren der Karte weiter...

When I saw the new Challenge for the Task for Two Challenge "Over the edge" I had the idea of a photography in my mind immediatelly... Perfect reason to use the recently bought Selfie-Set from Lawn Fanw, right? Even more fantastic the theme for inkspirational is "snap"!
To get an also technical correct picture-history, my little scene is continued on the inside of the card...

Über die Karte:

Das Smartphone auf der Karten-Vorderseite ist selbst gestaltet. - Ecken gerundet, Rechteck aufgezeichnet, ein 1/2" Kreis für Taste und die kleinen Punkte für den Lautsprecher zufügen - fertig! Mehr isses wirklich nicht!
Dann die Ränder mit Malerband abgeklebt, die Szene gestempelt und koloriert. Großartige Verzierungen mit Pailletten oder so fand ich hier jetzt nicht so passend, weshalb ich mich auf das Beglittern des Mini-Smartphones und des smile-Schriftzuges beschränkt hab.
Das kleinere Smartphone im Inneren der Karte hab ich mit dem Stanz-Set von Lawn Fawn hergestellt. Einmal aus Cardstock und dann nochmal aus Fensterfolie ausgestanzt. Hier darauf achten, dass man die Folie mit weniger Druck durch die Maschine gibt, dann zerfällt das Folien-Phone nicht in zwei Teile und es lässt sich anschließend leichter aufkleben. Da das Cardstock-Phone in Rahmen und Bildschirm zerfallen war, konnt ich ohne weitere Maskierung stempeln und dann kolorieren. Um alles ohne erkennbare Klebespuren zusammen zu bekommen, hab ich heute mal einen Sprühkleber verwendet und damit nur den Rahmen klebrig gemacht, dann vorsichtig die Folie aufgesetzt und gut festgedrückt. Zum Schluß noch den getrockneten Bildschirm eingesetzt und das Phone in die Karte eingeklebt und das ganze dann in der Karte befestigt.
Das Kolorieren der Elefanten mit Copics war kein Problem, da ich ja wusste, dass das Phone innen hinkommt und alle eventuell sichtbare Spuren von durchgedrückter Farbe überdecken kann. Die Umgebung hab ich vorsichtshalber aber mit Stabilo Markern und Distress-Inks und Wasser ausgemalt.

About this card:

I designed the smartphone on the front layer on my own. - Rounded corners, draw a rectangle, added a 1/2" circle as button, some small dots as speakers - ready! That's it!
I masked the edges with painters tape, stamped and colored the images. Cause I thought embellishments like sequins wouln'd fit to the phone, I used anly some sparkling on the sentiment die cut and the mini-smartphone in the screen.
The smaller smartphone on the inside of the card I created with the die-set of Lawn Fawn. I cut one piece of white cardstock and one piece of window foil. When you use less pressure for the foil cutting,, the phone stays in one piece and it's easier to adhere it to the paper later. Cause the cardstock-phone was cut in two pieces, I could stamp and colour my screen without any masking. To glue without any visible signs I used a sprayable glue on the white egde of the phone, carefully added the foil and pressed firmly together. To finish the phone I added the completely dried screen and adhered the whoe thing in the card.
Coloring the elephants with Copic was no problem, cause I knew I wanna put the phone inside and that might cover any space with saturated ink. But to be surec I used Stabilo Marker for the leaves and Distress Inks and water for the landscape.

Als ich den neuen Digi-Stamp von Gerda Steiner für die "Monthly Challenge" erhalten habe, war mir sofort klar, was ich damit für eine Karte machen möchte und welcher Text ideal dazu passt!
Das passiert nicht ganz so oft, dass ich so schnell ein ganz klares Bild vor Augen habe, oft entstehen meine Karten erst am Schreibtisch, sie entwickeln sich eher Stück für Stück...

I When I recieved the new Digi-Stamp for the Monthly Challenge from Gerda Steiner, I knew immediatelly what kind of cardd I will create and which sentiment would fit perfectly!
That doesn't happen very often as quick as this time that I've such a clear picture in my mind, usually my cards develop step by step on my craft-table...

Ich bin froh, dass das Ergebnis genau so geworden ist, wie meine erste Idee davon!

Wenn man das Schweinchen und den Text dazu so ansieht, dann weiß man: diese Karte ist für die ganz große Liebe bestimmt!

I'm happy this card turned out like the first idea of it I had in my mind !
When you look on this piggy and the sentiment then you know: this card is for a really beloved person!

Über die Karte:

Zur Inspiration habe ich beim Basteln dieser Karte NATÜRLICH auch etwas Schokolade nebenher naschen müssen! ;-) Zum Glück kam ich ohne Schokoflecken aus...
Dabei hab ich dann ganz bewusst festgestellt, dass meine Noisette-Schoki gar kein Silberpapier mehr hat, sondern zur Reduktion von Verpackungsmüll inzwischen direkt in einer Frischhalte-Verpackung steckt! :-) Das ist vermutlich schon lange so, aber ich hab nie so drauf geachtet...
So gesehen ist die Karte also nicht ganz authentisch, aber ich hatte eben diese erste Idee mit der hinterlegten Alufolie... Verzeiht mir bitte diese kleine Ungenauigkeit! ;-)

About this card:

As an inspirational help I NEEDED to eat some chocolate while I was crafting this card! ;-) Luckily without any chocolate-prints on the paper...
I appreciated my chocolate isn't packed with a special silver-foil any longer, it's wrapped directly into a keep-fresh package to avoid packaging-waste! :-) I think they changed the packaging long time ago, but I havn't really mentioned it...
So my card isn't really authentic, but I loved the first idea with the foil-background... Please forgive this little inaccuracy! ;-)

K1-501 - Snowflake for Christmas (Noël)

Während wir auf dem Weg nach Bayern waren, wo wir eine Woche Familienurlaub auf dem Bauernhof verbringen wollten, startete bei Create A Smile Stamps die Release des neuen Snow Dance Kits! Und da ich das sehr, sehr gerne auch haben wollte, kämpfte ich also von der Autobahn A9 aus über's Mobiltelefon mit denkbar schlechter Netz-Anbindung darum, die Bestellung hinzubekommen. Und ja - es hat dann schließlich und endlich doch noch geklappt! :-)
So gab es am Ende des Urlaubs auf jeden Fall einen guten Grund, wieder nach hause kommen zu wollen. ;-)
Ihr dürft euch also schon mal auf einige Karten mit dem tollen Material aus dem neuen Kit einstellen!

We went to Bavaria for one week of farm holidays with the whole family. While we were on the way, the release of the new Snow Dance Kit of Create a Smile Stamps started! I really wanted to get one of these Kit puches! So I was fighting with my mobile phone against a bad web-connection on the Autobahn A9 (a German highway) to get the order placed. And yes - finally I got it! :-)
Now I had a good reason to come back home after one week. ;-)

K1-424 - feel better - butterflies

Ich hab mal wieder etwas Neues ausprobiert. Ihr wisst sicher, das ich Glitzer-Experimente liebe, bei denen nichts krümelt.
Diesmal hab ich einige Schmetterlinge aus Fensterfolie ausgestanzt und ihre Unterseite mit einem Mix aus zwei Farben Glitz Stickles überzogen. Ich war mir nicht sicher, ob der Mix nach dem Trocknen auf der glatten Folien-Oberfläche gut halten würde. Er hält!
 
I tried something new. You know, I love Glitter-experiments with non-crumbling particles. 
This time I used a window-foil, punched some butterflies and covered the lower side with a mix of two colores of Glitz Stickles. I wasn't sure if it would adhere without problems on the smooth acetate-surface after it dried. It did!
