K1-1168 - Red anchor

Today we are introducing the maritime collection of the Uniko July release:
  • Background Blocks - Nautical Stripes
  • Stencil: Fleur De Lis
  • Stencil: Anchors
  • Re-introducing: Nautical Treasures

Release Day is Friday, 26th July, 9pm (GMT)

First I stamped the sailing boat and masked off the top area of my cardbase and the hull.

For this card I tried a new way to create the deep wavy ocean - I used a stencil, added the lightest colour and then moved it until I added the next (darker) ink.
But I not only repeated to colour the same area of the stencil, I then turned it upside down and did the same process again with all three colours and the same area.

I think, it's a way to get some curved wavy lines on your paper although you havn't a "classic" ocean-stencil on hand.
What do you think about this try?

I used my "Anchor" Stencil and added (only one!) anchor on the bottom of the card with VersaMark Ink. Heat embossed it two times with red embossing powder.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment in silver ink and added a hand-drawn anchor chain to connect boat and anchor.
