The Online Card Class Clear & Sheer is in charge of a house with Fairydust! That's pure magic, right? Tiny little bits of glitter everywhere! :-)

Translation of the sentiment: "Bist du noch sauer?" - "Are you still mad at me?"

O.K.... as usual glitter is something special... in many ways!
Yes, it always looks great in the end but it also makes a special kind of mess during the crafting process - (especially when you are a clumsy crafter and a little glitter-jar is spreading its content all over your table!!! - Maybe I should buy some of these cloths Jennifer was talking about.)
I was searching in my stuff for supplies to make such a glitter-window-card and found a scrap of a foil or acetate with adhesive on it (it's originally a foil to create lampshades) - and I thought: perfect!
Yes, it was fun to try this technique!
I absolutly try to ignore that EVERYTHING I touched got a tiny little bit of glitter on it... really everything.

This card belongs to Day1 - Attaching Vellum with Embellishments from Yana Smakula and Debby Hughes (both made great tutorials).

The flowers and leaves allowed me to adhere the delicate vellum-die-cut-layer dimensional on the card-base. One half of the birthday-sentiment is laying flat on the vellum, the other part is adhered with lots of dimension on the basic-layer. I first layerd several die-cut pieces together, then heat-embossed them three or four times (also the edges!).

I created a kind of really "lazy" version of Dawn Woleslagle shown technique...
What does that mean? I used an embossing-folder to embosse the vellum and then colored the oceans with blue copics, wraped this layer around a paper-layer and adhered it on the backside of the paper. After I also adhered the the heat-embossed banner (or tag?) on the backside of the paper-layer I adhered the whole layer-combination to my card-base.
Finished the card with some red rhinestones.

Weihnachten ist noch soooo weit weg - ich weiß! Aber eigentlich hatte ich mir wieder (wie letztes Jahr...) vorgenommen, jeden Monat ein oder zwei Weihnachtskarten zu machen.
Nun ist der April schon fast wieder um und passiert ist noch nix... 
Daher gibt's heute nun Engelsflügel, Sterne und einen Weihnachts-Text!

Christmas-time is soooo far away - I know! But I wanted to craft one or two Christmas-cards every month (the same idea I had last year...).
April is coming to it's end and nothing happened yet...
So I have some angel-wings, stars and a Christmas-sentiment for you today!

Ideen zur Karte:
Auch wenn man es der Karte auf den ersten Blick kaum ansieht, hab ich doch einiges an unterschiedlichen Materialien (Embossingpaste, Glimmer-Spray, Distress Stain) und Techniken (Stencil, DieCut) verwendet. Die unterschiedlichen Farb-Medien erzeugen unterschiedliche Arten von Glanz - ich finde das gibt räumliche Tiefe.
Der Text-Layer und die Flügel sind mit Abstand aufgeklebt, was der Karte ebenfalls Tiefe verleiht.

Ideas behind the card:
It's maybe not visible in the very first moment, but I used several different materials (embossing-paste, glimmer-spray, Distress Stain) and techniques (stenceling, die-cutting) for this card. The different color-mediums have different kind of shimmers - I think that generates optical depth. 
The text-layer and the wings are adhered with 3D-pads, so the card gets some more dimension.

Am zweiten Tag der Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 4 ging es um Stanzen (Die-Cutting).
Debby Hughes hat die Technik des "Faux Paper Cutting" vorgestellt. Ihr Tipp: wer sich nichts unter Paper Cutting vorstellen kann, möge die Suchmaschine des persönlichen Vertrauens durchsuchen - man findet wahrlich beeindruckende Werke!
Für die Karten verwendt Debby eine Schummel-Version (ohne die Scherenschnitte)! Wer sich noch nicht angemeldet hat um die toll erklärten Anleitungen zu sehen, der kann das hier noch nachholen.

Debby Hughes presented a video about the technique of "Faux Paper Cutting". Her Tipp: someone has no idea what paper cutting means may use a search-engine - some of the the results are amazing!
