K1-1431 - Beauty & Joy #1

Heute  zeige ich euch eine für mich sehr ungewöhnliche Farbkombination!
Weiß ist ja nicht die einzige vorstellbare Farbe für Schneeflocken.
Für diese hier habe ich eine schillernde Folie verwendet. Nein, eigentlich ist es keine richtige Folie, auch kein Papier... eher eine Art dünnes Moosgummi mit einer schimmernden Schicht drauf. Fragt nicht, warum ich es in meinem Bastelzimmer gefunden habe, aber da sind noch weitere seltsame Stoffe, die ich sicher irgendwann mal verwenden werde... 😉
Ok, ich hab also dieses folienartige Material verwendet, um diese filigrane Schneeflocke auszustanzen. Als ich dann mit verschiedenen Papierfarben herumprobierte, fand ich diese untypische Farbkombination mit Pastelltönen und einem kleinen Schuss kräftigem Pink für die Mitte der Flocke.
Den Text hab ich dann noch in einem passenden, glitzernden Hellblau embossed.

Ich habe diese Karte bereits vor etwa einem Jahr hergestellt, sie auch zu Weihnachten 2020 bereits an eine Freundin versandt.
Bisher bot sich aber noch keine richtige Gelegenheit, sie hier auf dem Blog zu zeigen...

Today I show you a very uncommon colour combination for me!
White isn't the only imaginable colour for snowflakes.
For this one I used an iridescent foil. No, it's not a real foil and no paper... more like a kind of thin fun-foam with a layer of iridescence on top. Don't ask, why I have found it in my craftroom, but there are some more strange things to use on another day... 😉
Ok, I've used this foil-stuff to die cut the delicate snowflake. While I was testing out different colours of papers, I found this untypical combination of pastell colours with a tiny bit of pink for the middle of the flake.
The sentiment is heat embossed with a fitting sparkling light blue embossing powder to finish this card.

I made this card about one year ago and send it out to a friend for Christmas 2020.
But there wasn't a correct occasion to show it here on the blog earlier...

Schwarz, Weiß und eine Farbe nach Wahl...
Das klingt im ersten Moment vielleicht etwas spartanisch, aber wenn man grau als eine "Aufhellung von Schwarz" sieht, entsteht plötzlich ganz viel räumliche Tiefe! Wenn man dann noch eine frische & lebhafte Farbe wie Pink ins Spiel bringt, ist nichts mehr schlicht, oder?
 
Black, white and a color of your choice...
That maybe sounds a bit Spartan, but when you define gray as a "shading of black" you can get lots of dimension! When you add a fresh & vivid color like pink there is nothing homely any more, right?

Über die Karte:
Der Hintergrund ist am Rand mit Malerband maskiert und dann mit Stencil, Distress Oxide Inks und Blending Tool gestaltet. Der Farbverlauf von grau nach schwarz verläuft von oben nach unten. Dazu passend hab ich die drei Blüten ebenfalls in drei Schattierungen von pink gestempelt, von Hand ausgeschnitten und sie dann oben flach, in der Mitte mit 1 mm und unten mit 2 mm 3D-Pads aufgeklebt.
Dadurch entstehen sowohl optische auch auch räumliche Tiefe, die dieser CAS-Karte das gewisse etwas verleihen.

About this card:
The background was masked with painters-tape and then created with stencil, Distress Oxide Inks and blending tool. The shading from gray to black is blended  from top to bottom. In the same direction I prepares the three flowerd from less to more intense shadings of pink, fuzzycut them out and adhered them with different dimensions (top flat - middle 1 mm - bottom 2 mm 3d-pads).
So there is not only the optical but also a spartial depth, which generates a little something to this CAS card.

Für diese Karte hab ich gleich mehrere der Techniken verwendet, die in der "Online Card Classes - Sparkle & Shine" gezeigt wurden.
Es ist eine typische Männer-Karte gweorden... Ja, ich weiß, es gibt auch Frauen, die gerne handwerken und Baumärkte lieben (ich zum Beispiel), aber das Thema ist doch recht eindeutig eine Männer-Domäne!

For this card I used several of the techniques which were shown in the "Online Card Class - Sparkle & Shine".
It's a typical Men-card... Yes, I know there are also women out there who do handymans work and love DIY stores (I'm one of them!), but the theme is definitely a men-area!

Translation of the german sentence "Du hast den Dreh raus" = "You get the hang" or "You nailed it!" (which one fits better?)

Wär das nicht fein, wenn die Hühner gleich bunte Eier legen könnten?
Für die beiden Gockel am Boden scheint das ebenfalls eine große Frage zu sein... so bedröppelt wie sie dreinschauen. ;-)

Ideen zur Karte:
Zuerst war da der gold-glitzernde Maschendraht... 
Dann kamen die Hühner auf die Stange und die beiden Gockel darunter.. Damit die Eier auch weich landen, hab ich den Stallboden mit Stroh-Schnipseln (Bast) ausgelegt.
Und zum Schluß noch den Ostergruß zugefügt.

Ideas behind the card:
In the beginning there was this gold-twinkling chicken-wire...
Then the chicks were set onto their roost and the cocks beneath... To let the eggs soft-land I adhered some straw (bast) onto the bottom.
I finished the card with a Easter-sentiment (translation: Happy Easter)

Dieser Zweig kommt mit seinen Zapfen ganz natürlich daher.
Inspieriert wurde ich von Dawn Woleslagles Video "Watercolor from Stamping" in "OnlineCardClasses - Holiday Card Workshop 2014 - Day 3". 
Meine Karte ist mit ihrer zwar nicht wirklich vergleichbar, aber einen Teil der gezeigten Technik habe ich hier verwendet.

Nach dem Prägen des gelben Papiers hab ich die Kanten der Waben mit "wild honey" nachgezogen, dann die Waben ausgeschitten und auf die Karte geklebt.

Das Bienchen und seine Fluglinie kamen auf das Aquarellpapier, wurden fein säuberlich ausgeschnitten und coloriert. Damit die Biene nicht so platt auf der Karte pappt, hab ich sie mit Hilfe von 3D-Pads "in die Luft erhoben". Entlang der Fluglinie schlängelt sich der Schriftzug "Du bist so süß!".
