Am Samstag hab ich euch schon eine erste Karte mit dem süßen Löwen gezeigt.
Heute hab ich für euch noch eine zweite Karte mit sehr ähnlichem Layout, aber anderen Materialien - Papier, Farben, Textstempel.

Last Saturday I showed you a first card with this cute lion.
Today I have another card for you with a similar sketch but different supplies - paper, colours, sentiment stamp.

The translation of the German sentiment "Heute bist du der König" is "today you are the king".

Der Löwe ist mit schwarzer VersaFine Tinte gestempelt und dann mit PolyChromos Stiften koloriert. Der Text ist in weiß embossed.

Nach Weihnachten ist vor Weihnachten, richtig?
Ich fang dann mal fluggs an, Karten dafür zu basteln, eh es draußen zu schön und warm für Winter- und Weihnachts-Karten wird!

Herausgekommen ist dabei ein fröhlicher Weihnachtsmann mit Schneeflocken in einer Schneekugel.

Wer kennt sie nicht, die Lumpi-Tiere, die heißgeliebten Stofftiere von Kindern? Als ich diesen "handgenähten Löwen"-Stempel entdeckt hab, stand sofort fest - den muss ich haben!
Denn er ist einfach nur knuffig, oder?

Who doesn't know the cuddle animals, the intensively loved soft toys of kids? When I saw this "hand sew lion" stamp the first time I immediately knew - I need this one!
Cause it's simply cute, isn't it?

The translation of the German sentiment "du bist besonders" is "you are special".

It's a one layer card without any embellisments, one main image and the remaining area is uncluttered. It's quick and easy to recreate... 

The only guideline I skipped a bit is "lots of open space"... I hope 3/3,5 out of 4 points qualify this card to participate... ;-) 

The code word is "tall"... tall is another word for big, isn't it? On a bigger card size, the lion would be small...

Heute zeige ich euch eine Karte, die ich auf Wunsch einer Freundin für einen Geburtstag gemacht habe. 
Abgestimmt auf das großes Hobby des Geburtstagskindes Wandern (und auch auf das Geschenk, das sie bekommen soll) hab ich einige Elemente aus der Natur und passende Ausrüstungsgegenstände kombiniert.
Die Farbgebung ist auch eher schlicht und naturnah gehalten.

Der Text ist handgeschrieben und entspricht genau dem gewünschten Wortlaut meiner Freundin.

Das Innere ist absichtlich uncoloriert geblieben - ganz "natural", wie auch der kleine Pilz auf der Vorderseite.

Today I share a card I made on request of a friend for a birthday.
The big hobby of the birthday person wanderlust (and also the present she will get) inspired me so I combined some elements out of the nature and of fitting equipment pieces. 
The colour choice is simple and in harmony with nature.

The sentiment ist handwritten and my friend asked me to write exact these words.

The inside I left intentional uncoloured- totally natural, also the little mushroom on the front.

Translation of the German sentiment is a bit difficult, cause it's a selfmade little poem... But I try to show you the meaning  in the card a bit better...
"Beim Wandern über Stock und Stein soll Freude dein Begleiter sein" is something like "When you walk across the country / over rough and smooth joy should be your comagnon".

Background Blocks Pinstripe II(£5)

Yes, you've read correct: Pinstripe II
Both background blocks have almost the same size, the same stripes, so what's the difference? 
The direction of the stripes (on the rectangular block)!

When Beverley showed us the first sneak peeks of this new background stamp I had the idea in my mind to combine these two pinstripe stamps immediately!
But there are many more ideas - now I can combine either vertical or horizontal cards with both, vertical or horizontal stripes to create great backgrounds! :-)

I stamped both blocks  in a light grey. Was so easy to adjust them perfectly orthogonal on the cardbase.
Then I measured out to find the middle row (was too lazy to count them twice) and started my "cross-stitching" with a fine red marker.
I added row after row and some extra stitches until my heart had a perfect size and shape. 
Was happy I needn't to suture the ends of the "thread" cause I used it to write my little message and finished the card by adding a "needle" with a silver Gellyroll pencil.

I know, the stitching doesn't look "perfect", but it wouldn't be better when I would have used real thread! So it looks very realistic for me! ;-)
(I crafted and did fancywork my whole life in many different ways, but I never did cross-stitching!)

Wenn die Sonne untergeht und der Himmel anfängt farbig zu leuchten, bekommt man ja ganz leicht romantische Gefühle...
Bei meiner heutigen Karte, hab ich daher das tanzende Paar vor einen solchen Hintergrund gesetzt.

That's the reason why I placed this dancing couple in front of such a background.

Today we introduce the new part of the Spring Botanical series - Tulip.

Previously released flowers of this beautiful series are "Snowdrop" and "Daffodil".

The tulips are coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos. To show the simple beauty of  these spring flowers I skipped adding embellishments, but to get a bit of something special I lifted the layer up with 3D tape and put red fabric tape in a fitting intensive red to the long edges of the card front.
