K1-1360 - happy Rainbow

I barely can believe it, but I made too many cards in short time again!

The inspiration of the OCC Spring Card Camp made me super creative. Combined with the mixed weather of the last few days and the still valid suggestion of staying at home I had some super productive days!

I will try to post most of them, to be able to upload them to the OCC-galleries,
But the post will be "half-done"...the supplies and some more information about every card will be updated as soon as I find time to write them. Please be a bit patient with me -  when you have questions to one of the cards, write a little comment, and I will update this post earlier!

The Translation of the German sentiment "Wahre Freunde packen das schon zusammen" means "Real friends can tackle it together".

I was inspired by a very cute childrens's book with a little edible dormouse who isn't afraid in the night... (Milo got it from the Easter-Rabbit).

K1-1354 - broken glass

The technique of Lydia Fiedler (OCC - Spring Card Camp, Day 10)with the glitter gel (and my own modifications) kept me busy for a while...

For this card I used the Visible Image stencil "breaking glass". My try, to mask off the center area didn't turn out well, so I decided to cut a real hole in the broken glass and place my sentiment there...

I think, this sentiment fits perfect to our current time, cause many people talk about the past few weeks and are very critical (but you can't modify the past!) - and I'm not sure where we would stand today, when things were done different... But the most important thing is - never give up hope!
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

K1-1355 - Stimmungsaufheller

The technique of Lydia Fiedler (OCC - Spring Card Camp, Day 10)with the glitter gel (and my own modifications) kept me busy for a while...

This one is one of the first cards I made. I masked off most of the stencil except a circle area. I stenciled the flowery part of the stencil in this circle and had also the outer area on the paper I used for the masking.

I needn't do a lot of crafting to make a card out of this beautiful CAS styled layer... I only drew some accents and a frame with a red gelly roll pencil and added a sentiment banner...
The German sentiment "Stimmungsaufheller" may be translated with "moodlifter".

K1-1358 - Rainbows & Stars

I start mixing up the techniques of the OCC-days again...
In this card you can see one of the results of the "Glitter Gel Tips" Lydia Fiedler showed on Day 10 and also a bit of "Rainbows" of Dawn Woleslagle of Day 11 (but only in the choice of colours).

The sentiment "When it rains, look for rainbows, when it's dark, look for Stars" fits perfect to this glob, doesn't it?!

With the  Funky Fossil Designs "Geo Spheres" stencil and a silver embossing paste I made the globe. After the paste was dried I added the same Stickles colours on the globe as I used for the background. The globe was adhered with dimensional tape.
The sentiment is stamped in white and silver on a piece of vellum and wrapped around the bottom area - so I could fix it easily and unvisible on the backside!

K1-1353 - You are amazing

Here is the second card of my OCC "Spring Card Camp" Day 9 - crafting session with stencils. Channin Pelletier showed this cool technique.
Maybe the colourful "Rainbow" cards of Dawn Woleslagle of Day 11 slopped in here a bit too... ;-)

If you havn't seen the first card, please hop here to see the first-generation use of the stencil.
  :-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

K1-1353 - You are amazing
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
The inked stencil of the first card I covered with a thin mist of water to reactivate the ink and then I pressed it down onto another white paper.
This second-generation stencil print looks totally different to the first one! - It's not only the inverse pattern but also the colours aren't as intense. They look softer and more like a watercolour effect!

I used some uplifting rainbow-colours fot the zebra and also for the metal dots. I think "You are amazing" is a perfect sentiment for this little scene.
In my stash I havn't metal dots in all rainbow colours, so I used two white ones and coloured them with Copic Markers in orange and violet.

K1-1352 - Wild about you

The technique I used to create this card was shown by Channin Pelletier on Day 9 of the OCC "Spring Card Camp" and it's called "Inking Stencils".
Like on the other days, the technique ended up in two cards - the secon one you'll find here.

I used the same stencil and the same critter stamp for both cards - but they look so different! - This technique really allows you to strech your materials! :-)

For the first card I inked through my stencil with Distress Oxide Inks onto smooth white cardstock - nothing fancy so far.
I cut my papers, stamped my image and sentiment and combined everything to the card you see above.

The trick
Channin Pelletier showed in her video is, to use the stencil again... see, what I've done in the second post

K1-1350 - Focal Fox

I'm still crafting in every free time I find (I wish I would have more of it!). Most of the time
I'm inspired by the videos of the current "OCC - Spring Card Camp".
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
For the card I show you in this post, I used the left-over pieces (Fox and Sentiment) from this card.
K1-1349 - Happy Days inside

But my focus was not on the technique of Julie Ebersole showed on Day 4 (Tuesday, 04-14) but on the one of Laurie Willison. She showed it some days later (Day 7, Friday, 04-17) but as I mentioned before, I'm very behind with my daily crafting time cause of the situation at home. So the combination of both techniques was perfect to catch up a bit...!

K1-1349 & K1-1350
Lots of Happy Days!

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
In the Detail picture you can see, I hadn't pulled out the rays of the Kraft-paper completely. To get a bit of dimension, I lifted the rays of the dicut by adding the cut outs of the same die of a bright yellow paper, folded them in half, glued them together and added them to the openings. So the center part of the kraft-paper rays stay flat and only the outer areas are lifted.
Was a bit time consuming, but I love the result!

But my focus there was not on the technique of Julie Ebersole but on the one of Laurie Willison. She showed it some days later (Day 7, Friday, 04-17).
But as I mentioned before, I'm very behind with my daily crafting time cause of the situation at home. So the combination of both techniques was perfect to catch up a bit...!
That's why I show the card it in both Galleries.
K1-1349 & K1-1350
Lots of Happy Days!
